The Gran Hotel not deserve the name. The entrance area promises a lot of things and looks appealing. The shock comes first in the room. May be, that big room returns. We had however a room with two single beds, the was so small, that we did not know where with the suit-cases. Furthermore, that there is no view and hardly daylight gave. The lower part of the window was with of the airconditioning blocked, the upper part consisted of shutters to open a ladder required could have been. We need not go back. read more

Hotel for one night large Cuba round trip from Neckermann. As best hotel in camagüeiy announced. Stands in the middle the pedestrian precinct, no directions possible, suitcase same drag. Front desk-hui!, rest -yuck! Elevator permanently broken, steps to steep, room too small, though with a balcony on the pedestrian precinct, however the windows without glasses, but as in the 18. century with slanted timbers. Well known sleep no pedestrian precinct on Cuba at night, the guests in the hotel either! Air conditioning old and noisy, but worked. Bathroom moldy in all colors and musty, there was no shampoo. Cockroach sighting ..., not caught. One can have good and until midnight on the roof in the bar time, if it's not raining. Breakfast - minimalism relaxation. Should immediately from program to be taken. We complained in travel guide ( also scrape in melia hotel in santiago), the would answer, and were financially (before departure) compensated. No colonial nostalgia and romance excused such conditions and in accordance with the whole day in büß you expect as superior travellers at least small relaxation. read more

We had the hotel for one night as a part of a round trip ( Cuba Grande ). The hotel is a catastrophe. It looks from the outside very nice from, the inner courtyard and the roof terrace was very nice, but unfortunately it was the then already.
The elevator was being repaired, but that was not the problem.
The room had no window, where one should be, there was an airco! From the bathroom, really terrible odor. In the bathroom there also no real window, this was a wooden door. If you opened, one could in the bathroom the ... room next to see, that was it with views! In the morning, there was from any reason no water. The mini bar ( without content) was completely moldy. Since the hotel was booked, was a room changing not possible. It says at least.
I can only for this room speak (4th floor), but everything is completely run-down and in very bad condition. We felt, like in prison! The buffet restaurant was altogether actually really nice furnished, however was the selection of dishes very, very poor!
The roof terrace is a dream, the barkeeper was very nice. But the toilet.
The hotel is in the middle of town, from there you could well what undertake. read more

Stayed as part of the TUI round trip ' Cuba Grande' for an overnight stay in the hotel.
The hotel has the charm anciently maintain, despite various renovations.
The rooms are unfortunately very small, same goes for the bathroom. A renovation

A night during our round trip ' Cuba from West to East' in the room ( or better said in cell) 212. The rooms were tiny and bare, very high, the lower half of the window took an airco a, the ice-cold air directly on the (single -) beds blew. The upper half was with a wood shop concealed, we declined on the air conditioning and opened at night rather somewhat the holzladen for some fresh air to get.
The lift was non-existent more, a lucky, that we were only in the second floor climb had. The luggage had it ... better-it was by freight lift transported.
We arrived at 17:30 at, the room our friends stayed not finished yet and they had to leave their luggage in our room bodies. It was thus already full and we then first looked once a walk into town made.
For dinner and breakfast we had to the fifth floor to climb, in the impressive dining room that looks great is. Choice and quality the food corresponded to a previous average of rundreisehotels, for Cuban standards probably as good.
Evenings there was in the small pool a worth seeing Wasserballett. read more

For a short break is this hotel definitely recommendable. It is located directly in the center from camagiiey, was great for me but not noticeably loud. The room was small and simply furnished, the furniture in the colonial style, everything was clean and worked, also in the bathroom. The whole hotel is in the colonial style and together with the nostalgic atmosphere something special itself. The breakfast and dinner were tasty little convincing but it was still OK. read more

Although we only 1 night were there and initially from the size of the room a bit disappointed, the whole atmosphere of the hotel with a pool and old elevator, as well as food on the top floor with great old furniture and beautiful view of the place as direct hit proved. At the end we were thrilled. The Wasserballet (both both male, as well as Female) have helped. read more

We were in the hotel while a good and it was 5 hotels a good that it has us super fallen, especially in the higher floors, great view. They also have a terrace, in the summer probably the bar open, really great, an all-around view over camagiiey. And if one then still one of the Fahradrikschas adopted, really great. We had dinner and breakfast, really good. All appetizing, had already other seen. And several shops pedestrian precinct and also restaurants and bars. read more

On our tour spent we have a night in this hotel.
unfortunately it is not by car and also has no choice hotel's own parking (that's not signposted).
the lobby is very beautifully designed and well maintained, the restaurant and the roof terrace are maintained, which can be seen from our small rooms can't say.
the room was very small, had no choice window and no choice Safety deposit box. The bathroom was okay, unfortunately with dirty towels equipped.
staff was unfortunately very unfriendly and seemed listless, furthermore only a few English. read more

The oldest hotel on the round trip, but nevertheless somehow a special atmosphere. The hotel is located in the middle of the pedestrian area and has a roof terrace on which one had a beautiful view of Camagüey has. There is also very good cocktails. The dinner was okay, however the breakfast was unfortunately nothing. The bread was definitely already days before as dry as it was cut, unfortunately there was only an alternative cookies (at least relatively fresh). read more

Our room was small, with no windows and no balcony but clean and newly renovated. To sleep okay the location is great, in the middle of the pedestrian district. The food was unfortunately under expectations. The staff was able was entertaining, the bar on the ground floor is very nicely decorated. The view from the roof terrace and from the dining room is great. All in all, for Cuban standards the hotel was very neat and clean renovated. Our hotel-highlight of the tour ☺ read more

The hotel is in a nice Daterrasse, with a lovely view of the city and realistic views on the real Cuba and not just in the touristy parts.
Also the elevator, the industry is a man has something for itself. The bathrooms were very small, things placings was unfortunately not, so that we the utensils in the room had to leave, but completely OK for one night. read more

Hello, through the trip we stayed in this hotel. Apparently we were the only ones with mini-room, everyone else thought the hotel was great?
Our room was right next to the elevator * Lol * door on door to blow it was * So * the whole night.
Plus the room: you can all once on tongue-in-cheek **
Sleep, shower, on the toilet. One is within seconds in the next activity.
Unfortunately the balcony was exactly for shopping or room. Yeah. Glass windows were it not, this consisted of a wood shop.
Without ear plugs one is lost!
For a ... 1 night in order, and it is a special experience. Elevator is the hammer ☺ read more

This cute hotel is living off its past. So much flair and I have experienced in any hotel. Formerly the best hotel in the city has a incredible facilities. The bars and the restaurant a few decades back in the time to travel. The roof terrace is a dream, also the musicians have a tied up, that the water ballet smooth has failed. The room had unfortunately, despite the ancient decor-the character a monastery cell. The window was with wood shop stocked, had but no glass. In the lower part there was a hell of a loud air conditioning, you ... could watch out because of the height of the lochs unfortunately not look. But the atmosphere in the whole house-also was only beautiful-all the courtyard has made up for it. Even a cute pool with lovely design of the walls was it in the middle of the maze-city. You must have just experienced, beautiful! read more

This hotel captivates with his charm and uniqueness. Also we unfortunately had on the courtyard in the hotel, but it is certainly worse than in a hotel to get=)
In the courtyard is a small pool, where also various shows in the evening it was find. You should definitely have a jacket, as it powerfully in the entire hotel. The 'lift' an is served and is only with staff, unfortunately we are turned down on the floor, but we have survived=)the room have high ceilings and partly a french balcony facing the street. The us has noise not bother us ..., since it is really bearable.
The bathroom is small, has but museum character. It is a large shower with hot water, hair dryer and soap were available. Capacity for the own toiletries it is no, but also the found we not bad! It is only for a night and finally it is certainly always worse than this hotel. The beds are hard, but we have slept like dead.
Meal gives it in the fifth floor with a great view over the city. It is not the huge selection, but everyone is something and, you drink a cocktail in the bars more. The prices are fair and the quality OK. Definitely look at the roof terrace and great pictures!
Conclusion' gran hotel with a lot of charm a hotel. read more

We have stayed here for a night during our trip and had to go through the back entrance at the mini pool in the hotel, as the main entrance was closed due to construction. The hotel was certainly very beautiful, but these times are also past. Only positive was the ancient elevator, as we have noted, rather not alone should not and must be served. Although the room was clean, but much to small. A safe was not available. The bathroom was much to small and the toilet flush 30 minutes after. It was extremely loud and noisy at all ... and unfortunately much to bright, through a lack of shower curtains. The balcony was not want I enter, as the railing was loose intimidating. The roof top terrace has a nice view, this was but very poorly lit. The existing bar was closed.
The selection at the breakfast buffet was minimal. A table with a clean table cloth also in vain. Conclusion: only for a night OK! read more
