The hotel has a bit more than 200 rooms and following dining options: a main restaurant, a bar (at the weekend with pianobegleitung ), a snack bar by the pool and snack at the beach. On the grounds there are two pools (a large family pool and another, to the peace must prevail), a tennis court (surcharge), a miniature golf course (included) and a shop. Continue to the hotel has a spa and a gym. For office duties and communication is a officeroom ready, where one computer and printer can use for free. A express wifi is throughout the hotel ... free of charge available. The hotel complex is overall very compact, so you all furnishings could be reached quickly. Parking in front of the hotel is complimentary (you'll pay elsewhere already one 30 American Dollar on the day). The majority of the guests came from the USA or Canada. Often spent only a (long) weekends in the hotel, so the january at the weekend clearly busier was, as in the week. Foreign guests were most spoke german. We had a standard room with a balcony in the direction pool, which very nice was. The room was big enough and fully equipped. We had 2 kingsize beds, a seating area and a work desk available. On the balcony there were 2 chairs, a chair and a small table. The decor was an empty fridge and a capsule-maker. The room was very clean. The cleaning of the rooms was correct, came but unfortunately every day at another time, so that you can not to adjust could.

We have first of all in the hotel only had breakfast. The breakfast can à la carte or one selects simply the buffet, what the best choice is. Here there was everything, what one american breakfast belonged to it. In addition there was cereal and frísches fruit (especially delicious was the pineapple). Which unfortunately almost always in the USA- extremely is lousy, the bread was: only labbriges white bread, the that arrived untosted however not at all was edible. The buffet costs including service and tax (tax) around 20 American Dollar and was worth the money. In the main restaurant you could lunch and dinner. We ate twice in the evening. The food was not bad, for our taste but too 'american', so 'drowned' for example, the salad in the sauce and was also under tons parmesan cheese spilled. At least one was then full! We ate outside eaten better (see tips).

The service is typically american and very friendly. Especially good is the service the corner in the lobby. Help here staff ausflusgplanung and the like. All of the staff were without exception very pleasant and tried hard. The service in the restaurant at the breakfast is well organized and very personal. We were very comfortable there. A receptionist is austrian and speaks therefore german. All other speak only english, possibly also spanish.

The two pools were clean and could well be used for swimming. The gym is well equipped and also recommendable. With regard to that in our opinion enough possibilities available, the unnecessary calories again abzutrainieren. The hotel is located at southern end of the beach, not far from the port Port Everglades away. The beach boulevard is from the hotel still good 2-3 kilometer, which one both the street along, as well as over the beach (then shorter) comfortable on foot the balance. The location of the lago mar is therefore in our opinion better, even if you in the evening in the immediate vicinity nothing without a car to do. A rental car is therefore to be recommended. Somewhat annoying aircraft noise is, through the right middle fort lauderdale airport but ubiquitous was.
