The hotel consists of a main building and on the site spilled lodges, in reihenbauweise. Between the buildings is however plenty of green available. Directly in front of the hotel there is a large parking, as well as a parking garage. The hotel is very clean and tidy. Unfortunately is the seating in the restaurant, as well as the patio furniture on the balconies terraces getting a bit old part of the restaurant but had chair covers, so that the age not any more to look at. You could maybe just for the whole area should have. A exchange will ... be necessary in the short term. There are only isolated German tv-program. While we were there unfortunately only Eurosport. Wifi is subject to a charge and the portuguese telefonbertreiber offered. You can at the front desk however freicoupons for 30 minutes In the lodges is no wi-fi available! read more

    We have one of the lodges occupied. The division is generous, the bathroom very spacious with 2 sinks. Much marble. The floors are all tiled. It is a tv available, as well as telephone, mini bar, ironing board, iron, in-room safe, air conditioning, large terrace with 2 loungers, coffee table, as well as large table with 2 chairs. To the neighboring rooms is the terrace separated. For our room we enjoyed the view of a large pond area. The mini bar is appropriately filled, so that even enough space for our own drinks remains. Room service is also available. To the price the food there is a service charge of circa 3,50 Euro per person in addition. Our meals were Within 20 minutes in the room.

    Next to of the pool bar there are a restaurant. Clean and tidy. In the morning, in this restaurant a gigantic breakfast buffet offered. Next to the buffet can several egg dishes before the eyes be prepared. For the restaurant is a spacious hotel bar available. Evenings is in the restaurant a buffet offered. For our stay for 27 Euro. To the buffet you can enjoy the house wine (red, white or rose) for lax 5 Euro the bottle of order. The bottle of water is also will be charged. The waiters give however also a bit more to, as long as the bottle is empty. Very customer friendly. Thus the büfettpreis almost again good value for money. You can but also select from the menu. While we were there was within the büfettzeit 19-10:30 P. M. live music played.

    The staff are efficient, friendly and very friendly. Unfortunately is the communication is only in English or portuguese possible. This we didn't have a deduction, since this in Portugal mostly it is. The rooms are thoroughly cleaned and on request are the beds times changed.     Not only for golfers ideal location. Around the hotel are three 9 hole - golf courses designed. If you don't golf would like, is within a few minutes at the beach of vilamoura, Falesia or quarteira. The journey time to the airport is approximately 15 to 25 minutes. If you don't have a rental car can hotel-shuttle bus to the beach take advantage of.

We are frequent flyer and knew us very well in the hotels from. This hotel has only a nominal rate of recommendation; we have it nevertheless dared and this hazard every day regrets! Fortunately we had only booked breakfast, even this was repeated daily. There were only two sorts rolls in the offer, the bread selection was however bigger. But: no cook = no waffles, pancakes etc. The rooms are good and clean, the bathroom could however also good scrubbing, this also applies to the terrace: Should the seats, as well as chairs because of the State urgently disposed of! ... Any use is here for the hotel guest unreasonable not to mention I would like also, that the service it has rejected, essen on the terrace to serving ( the terrace the hotel was directly next to the restaurant). We are golfers; the squares were satisfied. In any case, I can't understand, why this hotel with five star rated, of 4 stars, rather 3. 5 would be here attached. read more

2 years ago we were already once briefly here, everything is quite right, but because of the change by Marriott/to Pestanagruppe Renaissance there are some changes: the wonderful golf course belongs to the group, and finally the hotel guests get a fair price reduction. Unfortunately this is also beautiful spa at the entrance resorts not more, and the entry to be paid extra. The transportation situation to and from the hotel was heated indoor pool no alternative. the rooms bathroom are very spacious and well equipped. the quality and selection was excellent, Dinerrestaurant upscale, certainly therefore very few visitors, comfortable ... it is in the pub Oscar at the entrance resorts (limited menu) to. The staff the hotel is very friendly and tried some of the organizational defects of the creases and the patient. Internet access in business center still subject to a charge, a little scary for today's times! read more

A very beautifully located house in the middle of a resorts, directly at the golf course (27 hole). Style and decor is very attractive. Restaurant then convinced. Unfortunately the spa at other end of the resorts. Either shuttle bus or drive. Was not good, that we for the spa and hotel guests €15.- entry had to pay. Now leads Pestana the building. read more

Nice style house in attractive facilities and form. Directly at the villa sol 27 hole golf course. Spa right on the hotel. Shuttle bus or car necessary. Restaurant good and reasonably priced on 5-star standard. Very friendly staff. Is located in a resort of villas, but quite close to the town. read more

Felt like 2 to 3 stars for the price of five stars. Maybe some call it "local". To me it was humiliating. The staff is extremely bored (as if there wasn't a load of work to be done) and rude. A "cold" house without charm. And after the vacation you still have problems with double charging of your credit card. Thank you very much. Never again!!!!! read more

The former "Vila Sol Algarve A Renaissance Spa & Golf Resort" (now: "Vila Sol Spa & Golf Resort") is despite the separation of the Marriott group early 2010 still in pristine condition. The hotel is not too big, and the construction integrated into the landscape. In the "Vila Sol" there is double rooms and suites on the second and third floors. The lobby is bright and well maintained and has a good range of seating. The cleanliness is, both indoor and outdoor area always good, the public restrooms are very clean. We booked two double rooms with a connecting door ... (room 303 and 304 ) for a total of three adults and two toddlers for a period of 10 days incl. breakfast. In the hotel itself caters mainly English, Portuguese and German (well-kept and well mannered) golfers all ages but also business services (in the hotel also congresses). You can see the hotel guests an appropriate incomes, however there is no formal or informal dress code. The whole area is huge, you could hardly (unless you are passionate golfers) to explore the grounds. read more

    We booked two double rooms (room 303/304) with a connecting door and had virtually a small (felt like) junior suite. The rooms were in the base area big enough and the bathroom is very large. Air conditioning (easy to operate) in each room. Large balcony with two chairs and two chairs. LCD TV (ARD/ZDF/kika) as well as minibar and iron with ironing board available.     Every morning we had a breakfast from the buffet, which were served at the restaurant on the second floor. The choice of food is extensive: A hot buffet (bacon and eggs, crepes, etc. ), A buffet with freshwater and Brotspeisen and eight different kinds of cereal. Further, an extensive selection of meats and fresh fruit (no tinned fruit! ) served. The juices were not freshly squeezed, but they were ok. The hygiene was generally very good, the quality of the dishes of a high standard. Unfortunately, the buffet little variety for a longer period. Unfortunately the staff in the breakfast room is set up to extensive everywhere active staff running around, but without a luxury hotel, the service is appropriate (annoying Frühstückszettel fill in, plates were only late or not cleared). The room service was was exemplary: discreet, clean, honest and in addition, in the afternoon cleaned upon request. On site of the "Vila Sol" is a log cabin with a small kids club. An employee is available there.

    The 27 -hole golf course is surrounded by beautiful in a park. As we are no active golfers and only the pleasant golfer's atmosphere I can't knowledgeable information to the Court itself. Kids' club with staff available, very little busy. Shopping possibilities with the car can be reached in a matter of minutes. The internet service (wifi/PC available) costs senators extra (5€ for 60 minutes), an embarrassment for a luxury hotel. Outside are two beautiful pools (swimmers/non-swimmers) over two levels and a spa with indoor pool. Great: few visitors of the hotel were at the pool for hours we were the only ones user (and which is surrounded by first half). Plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas available. Clean and very clean.

    A disadvantage of the Vila Sol" is the surrounding area. If you need a beach with its about a 5 minute drive and arrives at the mass tourist location Quarteira. Another possibility is exploring the Ballermann site Albufeira (about 20 minutes) and the only moderately wich Regionalhauptstadt Faro (also 20 -30 minutes). Only the on the edge of the mountains nearby towns Loule (15 minutes) and Silves (40 minutes) are really worth seeing. A public transport is not available, the trains (Intercidades and Alfa Pendular) from the train station in Faro regularly in the direction of Lisbon (beautiful but 3 -4,5 hours. By train). Therefore: A rental car is essential. Directly at the "Vila Sol" are some real estate apartments for sale or rent (often empty) are available. Overall, the Algarve more packages than Individualtourismus, which was less demanding hotel architecture in the busy tourist sights to see. However, the beaches are in detail (although in the high season full) nice and good sand and water quality. trend in the Algarve: have ever west the lovely.

The grounds of the hotel is almost a part of Vilamoura. Everyone knows it. The hotel features normal hotel rooms, bungalows, apartments, apartments and they houses for rent or purchase. We opted for a bungalow. The cleanliness of the hotel area/room was super. A cleaning crew runs 24 hours the grounds from and cleaned the room. Whatever time, you can leave your sign on the door and the room was cleaned. Fresh towels, toilet paper, shower gel, shampoo, cream etc. Will be provided. The bed was made and the 3 days the sheets changed on request, we can also more). ... The pool area could be cleaner, but definitely not before you have to find it disgusting. An hour of internet cost 5 The breakfast was excellent, something for everyone. Great selection for everything your heart desires. Dinner (buffet) cost 39€ per person with drinks and 32 euros without. It was super delicious, is its price but definitely not worth it! In this hotel there were hardly any German, but were very many Portuguese, Spanish and English. Mostly couples with children of all ages. read more

    According to the Hotel description should be the beach - 3 kilometers (2 miles) from the hotel. Not even close. There are almost 6 km and without a car not reach, and the city center. 4 times per day a private shuttle service to the beach or marina and back, in 3 hourly. However only between 10:30 and 18 hours. Outside of these hours you are either in the hotel or in the city. A taxi from the hotel to the beach/town costs around 10€ but no more. If you are in the hotel during the day a taxi for the evening before reserved forced admitted, you have to stay in the hotel. For evening/night you'll need to go back to a about 60m long and 4m wide on line a garcon sad taxi waiting. wait lie 1-2 hours!!! Without a rental car, is lost here! On site is impossible to get a rental car! The best traveling take care of it. The location of the hotel is really very poor without a rental car!!!

We went to the hotel about 3 -4 years ago which that prompted us this time to book it for a week. First impressions were not good to which the hotel after the bend, you could already major weathering with from platzender paint on the Gebäudemauern see. The first impression was basically also not improved during the week stay. In many places in and around the hotel dirt and "tired" areas. The rooms were sadly in need of updating. Very large disadvantage was the location of the room toward the Gulf/parking lot where directly in front of the hotel is ... built a pond with a fountain, where the fountain unfortunately unpleasant loud noise generated. In the fitness area were some broken equipment and a"the not more tidy on the wall (risk of injury). The breakfast was ok, not a 5 star hotel worthy. Here only satisfactory attentiveness of the staff. read more

    The room we got (deluxe) was already very worn and need a new paint. Shower in the tub, not up to the 5 -star category. The room faced the golf/parking lot and from 8 hours starts the fountain in the pond in front of the hotel with his work, so we could refresh both loud until early evening.

    The showers at the indoor pool were partly broken. The pool area was clean and had enough towels. The outdoor pool did not work, but at this time of year isn't surprising. About the fitness area I have already described the condition mentioned. I also found Unusual wireless Internet access in the lobby area (surcharge).     We went to the hotel about 3 -4 years ago which that prompted us this time to book it for a week. First impressions were not good to which the hotel after the bend, you could already major weathering with from platzender paint on the Gebäudemauern see. The first impression was basically also not improved during the week stay. In many places in and around the hotel dirt and "tired" areas. The rooms were sadly in need of updating. Very large disadvantage was the location of the room toward the Gulf/parking lot where directly in front of the hotel is built a pond with a fountain, where the fountain unfortunately unpleasant loud noise generated. In the fitness area were some broken equipment and a"the not more tidy on the wall (risk of injury). The breakfast was ok, not a 5 star hotel worthy. Here only satisfactory attentiveness of the staff.

We stayed at this hotel for 12 days and we enjoyed it very much. The Garden Rooms of the hotel are just amazing, the area around it very well maintained. The staff is especially at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Although we did not in tow - there was a huge separate kids' pool as well as a "kinderland" with a children's play area - therefore the hotel is very well suited for families. As the hotel is located on the outskirts of the town and is not directly on the beach, a rental car is the best ... option. So are various beaches and other attractions in the Algarve within easy reach. The hotel also offers a free shuttle to the beach at regular intervals. All in all a all around a successful holiday, we would book this hotel any time again! read more
