Velturno is located 8 km from Brixen, thus it takes 20 minutes by car to get to the nearest skiiing lift at Plose and 45 minutes to Selva Gardena. And that's about the only downfall for skiiing.
Other than that the hotel is fantastic. Family-run, very relaxed atmosphere, and great food.
The breakfast has everything you need with a local touch to many products. Dinner, ususally a 5-couse-meal, is of fantastic quality and you will never eat the same again. Also a lot of local produce and meat.
The sauna area is well equipped with 3 hot saunas and 1 ... steam room. There is also a heated outside pool. No jacuzzi though.
Overall it is a great place to relax if you don't mind driving to the skiiing areas. For hiking or mountainbiking you can start straight from the hotel. We have been there four or five times now over the past four years and will be back. read more

Just last weekend to skiing vacation the unterwirt.
The hotel appears old long-established and has in recent years obviously fully renovated. So the senior chefs were still hard.
There is a right beautiful and very new wellness area with four saunas, relaxation area, indoor and outdoor outside pool and treatment for cosmetics and so on
The saunas are very appealingly designed, the quiet areas comfortable. Very annoying during our stay were however the italian guests, what i don't know, that of the sauna-/wellness area as relaxation area shall apply. The italians were therefore always when the larger groups on us ... kept proper conferences in and outside the saunas from, what the relaxation not favorably was. There the staff nothing contrary to hold had, i have sometime to 'silencio' asked, which also worked very well. To mention is, that the italian guests, despite sign, fully dressed in the sauna went, against what also nobody said something, and pretty uninhibited, the female guests the nacktduschen observed.
Also the most rooms (excluding königsanger ) have been renovated and are now very attractive and modern. Especially come one must the bathrooms, which really very nice come.
Not very comfortable unfortunately the dining room. Here it was a little bit, like a schulausflug. The chamber would be a few partition, the whole a bit straighten out and for privacy ensure, really good. Fear this is due to the constructional doings not be possible.
In our case the loudly over several table entertaining, in tracksuits dressed italian unfortunately not a pleasant overall impression.
The food is good, rustic and more than enough.
Winter sports region Brixen/plose is tin approximately 30 minutes easy to reach, St. Ulrich (Seiser Alm) and St. Christina/Wolkenstein (gröden) are approximately 45 minutes out. In the summer you can certainly right in feldthurns with the nice hikes start.
If you want a refined, fine dinner can do without and driveways to the adjoining winter sports regions to purchase may, is available in the hotel's in good hands! read more

Everything great, gladly come again. Family tauber is for every individual guests. The leisure offers or the weekly program was helpful and ensures that large variety. The spa area it didnt deserve the name, swimming was even in the open possible, outstanding istaußerdem, that always hot water for tea available beach and water tapped could be. read more

The hotel has a very promising homepage, the hotel suggests. Unfortunately, this is not true. It is a former coaching inn, the hotel would like to be. This claim you are not structurally still personell do it justice. Many areas are dated (for example restaurant, bar). The entrance area looks messy. The cleanliness of the rooms and in the spa are good. The guest structure during our stay was mixed. Our suite was on arrival not bezugsfrei. We were asked, to take. There was no service. Ultimately you forget us, we asked even after about 40 minutes after, whether our ... booked suite now finished. A drink or similar for the wait was not offered us. read more

We have in this beautiful hotel felt very comfortable. The staff are very friendly, the dishes excellent and diverse. The room as in the brochure, the spa area and the fitness room well equipped. In the beauty area being pampered. The indoor swimming pool is although not very big, however the possibility, to the outside pool to swim, great.
Tenders for sport and fitness facilities are varied. read more

Good can eat here, you can also get a good rest and excellent facilities such as pool and saunas etc. Enjoy. But around 21:00 it seems the staff from the waiter to the senior boss prefer to be that the guest into the room goes. Unfortunately. It helps nothing if the senior with its south tyrol charm with each guest a friendly word is, then behind but there is nothing. So you can be sure, if you after eating in the room to coffee or a liquor go, the senior boss the standard rate 'set fetches the schenschten in ... the stubn inside, gell' says. The hotel is very personal run. The pool is very good and varied, the breakfast good average. The advertised ' regional produkte' are a minority in the selection, but available. The sports and wellness area is very well-kept. The house daily offered hiking are varied and include light and moderate tours in the surrounding area.
For travellers without a car the hotel is well suited, as well by buses to Brixen/Klausen connected. From the hotel are many simple tours possible.
With the choice of the double room one must decide: east has room with a lot of sun, but they ... are to parking located. West lying balcony only late evening sun. As a comparison but there is a general accessible rooftop terrace.
The east, room 112 ( and possibly further)-which we luckily only one night inhabited - affected under heavy noise, if the overlying gaststättenterrasse evenings of guests full-one hears each stühelrücken. That was the only negative - besides that the hotel was ( the second time) again base for a very nice week of vacation. read more

Stay there is simply a pleasure. Friendly staff, food and drinks of the best quality and of the sauna and wellness area is lovely.
Unfortunately, that no Wi-Fi in the room to have. Some black hair from the previous guests were in the bathroom yet to discover.
Nevertheless you feel the unterwirt comfortable and just left the building with the feeling a love embrace and looks forward to seeing you! read more
