Facilitities are very nice, unfortunately but by a dense mangrovenbusch deferred from the beach, so you the hotel no direct sea view has.
The employees are very friendly and are willing to help.
Room was all right, however were the windows and doors leaky and with strong wind you had to everything seal, apart from that strong disturbance by pfeifenden wind.
Bathroom leaves much to be desired.

On the first glance a very beautiful area with pool. Suite spacious and large.
The 5 stars are unfortunately not at all international standard. In the room absence time the towels, shampoo etc. Shall not be replaced, bedlinen also not. The zimmerservicekräfte sit rather on the bed and look away.
In the gym are 1/3 of all equipment was broken. The restaurants were lack of guests mostly closed, so that you were forced in the buffet food. It is in the buffet area on the floor so fatty slippery, the you have to be careful not auzurutschen. Many of the ... guests with us were complained about diarrhea.
Most of the staff is quite hard and tried a great service to make, the others are unfortunately so renitent after tips, it was annoying.
Huge construction site directly next to the hotel.
Lastly is still in a bar in the evenings my camera was stolen. Help from the staff this is not to be expected.

The junior suites in the hotel correspond of course not European 5 stars, but the room is big enough and in particular very clean! No mold in the bathroom! No rusty mountings! No of hair after cleaning or other Fluff on the floor! Very clean!
The area is very nicely kept and exactly like the building constantly maintained. Unfortunately were for our stay the Yacuzzis except business. At the low season located.
The restaurants are all great. The atmosphere in the A-la-carte restaurants and bars is very nice. It was a lot of value on details put. The food is ... altogether very tasty and fresh.
The beach is very clean. Beautiful sandy beach and turquoise water:-)! The many fish in the water speak for a good quality of the water. The pool is nothing for people who gladly dives into the water make. It is not very deep, just wholeheartedly on relaxing and enjoying laid out.
The staff are very accommodating and always tried. Our glasses were never empty.
What we also very positively surprised was, that there is no all inclusive-Bands has been made! Everything was just simply all inclusive. 24 hours long. sparkling wine, wine cocktails etc. Just great!
We spent our honeymoon in any case very enjoyed and can only recommend the hotel! read more

Right upon arrival, we had our first disappointment-the booked ( and paid ) room with a view of the sea, had no direct view of the sea. Unfortunately is in the catalog not 'partial' or' lateral' view of the sea, what us the right expectations would have given. See attached a photo ( from the room you could the sea practically not at all see, just from the balcony). We were assured, that the general view in these room types is. After repeated questions, we spent our second stay a room with better view gotten (see photo attached ), however ... understand we under' view of the sea' furthermore something else.
Even if it was nice, daily flowers in the room scattered or in the bath tub with something water to find, so should the maids your time but rather on the cleaning concentrate. The floor was probably never cleaned (which one also on the suitcase on the final day could see, after we these on the floor had put). The towels there was, was every day also a surprise. The worst was however the toilet seat in the 2. upon arrival (see photo attached)-we were also assured that sterilized was (the dirt went with the bare fingers away.) and the apology was, that the rust by the cleaning there remains (we hope furthermore that it is' only ' rust was.).
The team is certainly trouble, with the existing ingredients beautiful offer supply ( even if the buffet in the final outcome always the same and we have the second day no longer knew what we were going to eat-I think this was the first all inclusive vacation in my lifetime, when I really had lost weight!). Unfortunately we were neither in the catalog forewarned, or check in informed, that because of the low occupancy the buffet-restaurant evenings only on a few days was open. Every evening were only 1a 3 restaurants open. When check in were the reservations presented respectively prescribed in which restaurant on what day and what time of day food was in the first stay we had the person, for these reservations is responsible, already informed that we always ask after 20:00 o'clock want to eat-you promised us, for the second week to organize. Unfortunately it didn't work. We should one evening at 18:30 o'clock in French restaurant food. We would, however, not so eat early (as much of the day and evenings there was after eating, the mostly about 45 minutes took, also do nothing). There was however no alternative for us and for the restaurant Chief us only said ' I on the restaurant manager, I decide and I tell you that you can eat at 6:30 pm or you don't eat'. At the end we had to eat in the snack bar a burger. The buffet was then on a group open (as well as on the next evening, where the choice is between Japanese and sushi had- all other à la carte restaurant were for group open). Here we felt then nevertheless as customers 2. class.
Because of the low occupancy it was in the hotel very quiet-so there were also almost all activities canceled. However has the animation team here also no more trouble, the existing guests something to entertain or the activities take place to let (Hey nobody to nearby apply, but more than once sluggish 'volleyball' to call you can then probably nevertheless). From aerobics there was only yoga or Pilates ( which I not when aerobics would call), the disco was closed (there were Cuban live music to about midnight -in the long run somewhat repetitive), many other activities we didn't notice at all. Unfortunately the opening hours also always very limited and not understandable for us (games gave it from 09:00 until 17:00 o'clock, thereby you want if rather evenings what to play when it rains, since it was however also during the day closed; there were water sports only from 09:30 until 16:00 with one and a half hourly lunch, etc. ). read more

The hotel area was very attractive with a nice pool area and well kept garden. The beach chairs by the pool were quite worn out. There is hardly any shade. The food is for all-inclusive very good, of course, rather lukewarm. The freshly prepared meals such as fish, meat, pasta, Fachitas are very good. The specialty restaurant we have tried, but were not impressed. The pool towels exchange was very cumbersome. We were able to leave our towel about after five days the first time changed! Welcome drink can one forget, no 5 * welcome. The drinks at the bars ... are different time very tasty, sometimes rather watery. It has a currency exchange in the hotel area. The rooms are very large, but the furniture was already older-it didn't bother us. The bathroom was with a bath tub. Cleaning of the rooms was of nine to 17 o'clock. Was laborious, since the room often 16 o'clock still wasn't't made. You can go on various excursions. We stayed for two days in Havana and area and at the beach Bay of Pigs, we would highly recommend both can. Be careful with credit cards, it stands behind an American bank, you can not use in Cuba! One of the nicer hotels in Varadero, the ambience is good. But the hotel was lacking a lot to genuine five stars. (for example, the cocktails were made of every bar woman/man.) you can't expect hardly in Cuba. We had a lot of wind and bathing in the sea was limited, water sports as well as impossible. All in all, you can definitely a good, nice four stars hotel, but not a five star. The buffet restaurant in the sparrows are out of order. In both an other couple (by accident and taken account of the same matter) were the rooms dirty: not only the bed sheet, but also the mattresses was dirty, full of stains, dust everywhere, the fridge the mini bar was not especially appetizing. After two more standard room-the room we had booked was a superior room, so a standard room - inspected had, but in the same condition, we were in the so-called royal upgraded free of charge. After twelve hours flight, a certain waiting time at the front desk, comfort and to food, because the rooms not finished yet ... were, on the day of arrival until late afternoon initial evening busy, a clean room to find (inclusive waiting time between complaints and action). Melia Varadero in, not so far from this hotel, the also the same hotel chain belongs, had I not seen anywhere. Melia Varadero had inspired me; is however a four-star hotel compared to the Princesa del Mar you bring your own soap and toilet paper, because the cleaning lady 'illuminating' it, or if there is no will be rationed, if one were times on tour and the tip time forgot. Great hotel the higher price range. The hotel is only for people over 18 allowed, therefore very quiet. All inclusive is really all-inclusive including cocktails at the beach. In the restaurants all inclusive al la carte be ordered. Great pools, lots of sports, however, the only offered, if the employees in the mood to work. The vacation there is however absolutely great and relaxing. read more

The hotel complex is spacious and very well maintained. Especially the garden is beautiful. The hotel owns a large restaurant with buffet (gran terraza) and 5 à la carte restaurants. The buffet also includes 3 grills, where fish and meat freshly prepared are. Here you have from time to time with waiting time. The selection of dishes is big, from time to time are the dishes unfortunately not more warm. From the à la carte restaurants are especially the japanese and the rock house recommended, these two restaurants we have also 2 times. Rock house especially cuban specialities deliciously prepared ..., and the japanese restaurant is equipped with all the around an experience. The italian and french restaurant have not convinced us. The oriental restaurant we didn't visit. The pool area is large and beautifully decorated, however, we have the beach preferred. Beach chairs with umbrellas were always abundant. The beach section of the hotel is really beautiful, there were also the loungers not so close strung end to end as we did with other hotels in the immediate surroundings have seen. While we were there, there were the temperatures always around 31-33 degrees, it is not so warm happened, because it at the beach always a bit windy, for the night it was then from time to time a little rough.
