The Riu Palace Oceana exudes elegance and generosity from. Architecture, interior design and the materials (much marble) are already something special.
The hotel is well-kept and in very good condition, everything is clean and tidy, the rooms, the restaurants, the swimming pool, the spa and so on., you feel good.
The Riu-staff in all areas are very friendly and willing to help.
The offered food is varied, balanced, tasty and delicious. One has the agony of the choice between appetizers, salads, main courses, side dishes and freshly prepared desserts (like for instance kaiserschmarren with vanilla ice cream, or crepes with ... sugar caramel).
The guests (minimum age 16 years) mostly older people, were mainly german, english and french.
We were 2 weeks there (february/march 2013), unfortunately was the weather often very ' autumn ', the sea stormy, the sky cloudy, it was often very windy and the temperatures were around 15 to 17°. On some days it was careless with strahlendblauem skies and the temperatures stayed on from 20-25 °.

We spend christmas in the hotel Oceana and enjoyed it very much. The evening was festively decorated with a gala dinner. The santa claus brought gifts. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant manager welcomed its guests personally and fulfilled gladly special wishes. Overall we felt really good.

When i first in the morning for breakfast on the balcony of the restaurant sat and on palmengarten, pool and sea looked, i thought' so were you in your youth the vacation of hollywood stars expected! ' in which there is nothing to add. In the Oceana everything matches: which-at least on the top floor highly tastefully 2012 renovated- minisuiten, the personal service, the sophisticated atmosphere, the glass, light-flooded, palm-lined swimming pool, where it has good swimming and to have some german town it would, the spa area and, last but not least, the tasteful food: in particular, the ... tunisian dishes are very recommendable! From the often tunesienurlaubern reported verdauungsproblemen in all the years, the Oceana know, no trace. Only the entertainment in the evening is below standard. Also whoever wanted entertainment and disco need, like at the beach promeniert and cafés and boutiques nearby his hotels like, is available in the Oceana misplaced. For a short-term false one-week beach vacation we opted for the Oceana decided. We had a dream of a week. The director has welcomed us and us personally to the restaurant brought. Only the barkeeper the beach bar ... there was a exception with its unfriendliness. Apart from that the hotel we can really recommend at any time. For our first vacation in Africa we have a real fantastic!
The hotel lies in Hammamet, however secluded from large Hoteldistrikte, directly at the beach. The direct surrounding area is dominated by private Strandhäusern and few other hotels and clubs. By the generally low building everything seemed very harmoniously, the view from the rooms suggested, that only hotel far and wide would be.
The somewhat remote location fits outstanding the concept of the hotel, except nightly( discreet) live music in the lobby of the hotel and allsamstäglichen belly-dance there is no annoying animation, but you have lovely seine peace. In ... the low season in February 2012 (1 year after the Revolution) one on some days under the week also the live music saved, what the utilization of just 30 guests located. Sometimes one was after 21 o'clock the only guest at the bar.

From the beach you can wonderful by yasmine -Hammamet walk, there, there are a great port and the Medina. You can but also heedlessly with the taxi drive: costs to yasmine circa 4 Dinar (2 ... Euro) and to Hammamet in the historic part circa 6 Dinar (3 Euro).

If you want a quiet relaxing vacation is just right here. The hotel is service cannot be beat. The staff is the exceptionally high level of over the guests concerned. The beach is wonderful. The rooms are huge and clean. read more
