Here we have a great beach vacation in September with almost 30 degrees Celsius worn. Very large beach with about 19 degrees Celsius warm Atlantic ocean. Very high waves then leads, also beautiful pool to use. The salt water pool was perfect and one on the free sun loungers direct sea view.
The hotel is really a bit older, but very clean. Had room to the side of the road, which unfortunately especially at the weekend was very loud and unfortunately without balcony. The service was great. The small Schlender and shopping we used every night. The lots of British ... people were mostly older and pleasant.
Altogether there was nothing to moan about for a very reasonable vacation. read more

The ageing hotel has the charm of the 70.! It must then one of the best hotels have been, but then! Renovations were only sporadically carried out! Our recommendation would have been a complete overhaul! We would have liked outside had breakfast, but that was from the hotel not available! As this also very well arranged, we had in the very lively breakfast room not overly long anyway! For a supposed cleanliness is ok on the part of the pleasant and friendly staff catered for. read more

We have a beach vacation in the five star hotel looking forward to it and in the days that concrete block at the parymeile recovered. We were very disappointed. If you would like to sleep calmly, the hotel is definitely the wrong choice. We had a room on the seaside - also here was at night partytime. The room for our son was actually the hallway - was not done!. Room very badly soundproofed. Extremely unpleasant was the fußbodenabfluss in the bathroom, from the permanently after sewage smelled. Unpleasant was the partly broken floor tiles in the room, where you ... had tried, through paint with a similar color improvement to reach. Also the chairs and sunscreens were old and faded. You have altogether the impression, that the hotel the funds for investment are missing. The breakfast room (in its ominous, totally old-fashioned decor I am not as in the airy-light summer vacation felt) was too small and it formed every morning long queues at the entrance. Super were great beach is right in front of the door and our trip in rental car to Lissabon. On the hotel I can however totally do. read more

Unfortunately are the hotel room very badly soundproofed. In the field of Terrassenhotelzimmer penetrated beverage choices to the rooms. Loud it was also at night on the street to. An undisturbed good night's sleep in the rooms to the street was only in the early morning hours possible. Window are simply vitreous. Due to the casino, opposite cafe's, shops competence sometimes to 200 people in the late evenings in front of the hotel. Unfortunately this is from the tour operators concealed. In addition it comes that the Hotelzimmertüren not silent Schließern leave. read more

The hotel is a bit outdated really, but nevertheless recommendable. The cleanliness in the hotel was impressive. The pool is very recommendable and the beach is via a flight of stairs directly from the hotel from reachable.
The breakfast buffet is very good sorted and in our opinion. Very versatile. read more

The hotel has a wonderful views of the Atlantic ocean, offers much comfort and deserves the stars absolutely.
Because we in the low season traveled, were the most of the adjacent restaurants closed and you had little choice. However offers the hotel a first-class service. The location of the hotel is also very convenient to attractions such as the Cabo de Sao Vicente or Lagos in a short period of time by car to visit. All together a successful stay. read more

Ideal for a beach holiday, there were enough pool chairs on the hotel terrace are available, and there to decide for yourself, whether you're in the pool or in the sea. (no clothes to the beach drag, remaining on the couch in the hotel) and in the town there is available at very reasonable pinches to shop. read more

I can agree with my predecessors have told me only: all in all a good hotel. Without a rental car you can but not much, to to explore the beautiful Algarve. You should book in Germany. In Portimao it is, for example, Hertz. A trip to Lisbon is strenuous (about three hours drive) but unforgettable beautiful! Tip: hopp on-hopp-off tour, you will see the most of the beautiful city.
We had booked only breakfast in the hotel. This was not very varied and very english. Big minus: the scrambled eggs was from powder and tasted terrible! It was the same ... each day, no alternation. Service and cleanliness but spotless!
The restaurants and beach bars in the area offered all identical 'english' Food: burgers and co-delicious pizza in the pizzeria was it.
Fish have we only get fresh in Albufeira and Lisbon.
Trip tips: Lagos, Sagres, Albufeira, Monschique, old, Lisbon. read more

Portugal-short get away. Have a relaxing four days on the Atlantic Ocean and with the hotel just the right place found. With a rental car from the airport only 30-45 minutes drive it. Everything was well signposted. In the hotel we were very friendly welcomed. The room was very nice, with a large balcony and a view of the ocean (I believe, all rooms facing the Atlantic Ocean). Had breakfast included in the price, which was very good-plenty of choice, prepared, the service was very friendly and even champagne, if you wanted. The wide beach could be reached over footbridges ..., which was very pleasant, since the sand was very hot. Nearby there was a shopping street with lots of little shops and restaurants. We ate lunch only ate a little, and in the evening, we went to the Casa da Rocha (Portuguese cuisine with delicious, same gem eighth sangria). Very recommendable, since not only is the kitchen was very good, but the view from the terrace overlooking the ocean. With the rental car we got during the day trips and to the south-westernmost point of Europe (Sagres) travelled. There was also the last bratwurst prior to America. Otherwise, we have long walks on the beach very much. Very recommendable. read more

The hotel is large with a large heated indoor seawater pool for adults and a smaller one for kids. Everything was very clean and well-kept. Recommendation: The room with seaview. The view of the beach and the Atlantic Ocean is breathtaking at any time of day. We had booked only breakfast, which in the heat also us, as some places in the surrounding area are available and the number of restaurants to suit all tastes which has to offer. Our recommendation for delicious Portuguese cuisine is the restaurant Casa da Rocha with ever-changing table d'hote dishes at the end of ... the promenade toward Alvor. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk. The hotel guests were mostly international (British, Dutch, Portuguese etc. ) and the atmosphere was pleasant quiet and a relaxing atmosphere. read more

The hotel was redone within the last year the you realized that everything clean partially restored, the right wing is still remodelling but little didn't bother. You can tell none of these. Breakfast didn't leave any wishes open. The average age 50y. Plenty of business people. The rooms are large plenty of space. Small internet cafe. British Swiss Spanish Dutch. read more

Mature, older hotel. We were lucky to get a room in the 4 Floor. This was probably recently renovated. But there is here as on the exterior of the building's age to see strong. The stop for the lift in the basement sounds like the elevator on it's last legs. We also had some construction noise from adjacent promenade from the Straßenausbau stand. Excavation works on the moment including! The beach chairs and umbrellas at the pool were of a 5 -star (Hotelklassifizierung on site) hotels really not worthy. The breakfast was okay, but also here we've had other can ... enjoy. The staff spoke hardly any German, but you get along pretty well with English. What makes up for all the complaints but is the location. The hotel is situated on the beach, only separated by a staircase. The beach is a treat! At night the lighted footbridge the about the whole width guided invited for a stroll. Especially at low tide you can also make a great Standspaziergang, the Felsenhänge and cliffs were a treat. Beautiful. The place is only partly beautifully, partly is he really with unpleasant high-rise buildings built up. These dim the Panorama cut. There are restaurants, a reservation with half board not necessary. Lagos as an excursion time you should consider. Tip, but not necessarily with "Follow me tours". Terrible. The tour guide had so much Esprit like a dead stopover. We stayed here for the second time, we would go back for a few days, but not longer. Two weeks in no case. read more
