The hotel is very central, only a couple Blocks away from Union Square. One comes from the airport very good with the beard now, in the one to to Powell station and the road high runs. The hotel and the rooms are antique furniture ( matter of taste). We had a large deluxe room ( free Wi-Fi) with a view of the Backyard. At our room there were 2 things to complain about.
1. the Lock. The corridors are cCTV cameras, but the door could merely behind tighten and about 3 centimeters impressions. With a little violence could easily access ... can provide.
2 of about 5:45 A. M. until 7:30 o'clock in the morning has the heater extremely loud Klackgeräusche made (, as if someone in either against the heating pipes is proposing). We have also the front desk reported, but relatively powerless was. It will probably heating water have been. The a couple of days in San Francisco we have no alarm clock used.
The breakfast is for American standards, unfortunately until 07:30 A. M. respectively 8.30 at the weekend. One has the choice of French toast, fried eggs, scrambled eggs, etc. This is then freshly prepared and in a few minutes serves. Furthermore, there was cereal, as well as orange juice, coffee and different types of tea. read more

The first hotel our round trip was very centrally located at the Union Square. It is an old hotel. The room was unfortunately through the outdated pipe and the heating always on the noise make, apart from that old decor but OK. Not far to the vibrant sights to look at. Nearby there are a lot of restaurants, the cable car runs directly in front of the hotel from. For breakfast 2 choices between French toast or eggs with toast-delicious! read more

within 5 years we were a second time the Cornell hotel. The value for money of the more simple the hotel is good, if you are in SF for us everything we needed no SpA etc. good transport connections for us, that opposite the hotel has a parking garage was in which our rental car parking could (can be booked through the hotel). In the price locked breakfast was fine for us.
the hotel has a French touch with appropriate background music and French owners and management.

The rooms are rather small. Typical of San Francisco. About the cleanliness couldn't complain. The hotel has a very own style. Someone who something against French style and such art hasn't feel comfortable. In the hotel there is a wonderful Oldschool elevator. It was really flair. read more
