Very central hotel

The hotel is very central, only a couple Blocks away from Union Square. One comes from the airport very good with the beard now, in the one to to Powell station and the road high runs. The hotel and the rooms are antique furniture ( matter of taste). We had a large deluxe room ( free Wi-Fi) with a view of the Backyard. At our room there were 2 things to complain about. 1. the Lock. The corridors are cCTV cameras, but the door could merely behind tighten and about 3 centimeters impressions. With a little violence could easily access ... can provide. 2 of about 5:45 A. M. until 7:30 o'clock in the morning has the heater extremely loud Klackgeräusche made (, as if someone in either against the heating pipes is proposing). We have also the front desk reported, but relatively powerless was. It will probably heating water have been. The a couple of days in San Francisco we have no alarm clock used. The breakfast is for American standards, unfortunately until 07:30 A. M. respectively 8.30 at the weekend. One has the choice of French toast, fried eggs, scrambled eggs, etc. This is then freshly prepared and in a few minutes serves. Furthermore, there was cereal, as well as orange juice, coffee and different types of tea. read more

Central but noisy, old room

The first hotel our round trip was very centrally located at the Union Square. It is an old hotel. The room was unfortunately through the outdated pipe and the heating always on the noise make, apart from that old decor but OK. Not far to the vibrant sights to look at. Nearby there are a lot of restaurants, the cable car runs directly in front of the hotel from. For breakfast 2 choices between French toast or eggs with toast-delicious! read more

Due to delayed flight I arrived extremely late during the night (3am). No problems during check in. Room was tiny but clean and comfortable.

Its location is just excellent: within walking distance of the Asian Art Museum, Fisherman's Wharf, Union Square. The cable tram stop is just around the corner

within 5 years we were a second time the Cornell hotel. The value for money of the more simple the hotel is good, if you are in SF for us everything we needed no SpA etc. good transport connections for us, that opposite the hotel has a parking garage was in which our rental car parking could (can be booked through the hotel). In the price locked breakfast was fine for us. the hotel has a French touch with appropriate background music and French owners and management. read more

Good city hotel in the heart of San Francisco archived

The rooms are rather small. Typical of San Francisco. About the cleanliness couldn't complain. The hotel has a very own style. Someone who something against French style and such art hasn't feel comfortable. In the hotel there is a wonderful Oldschool elevator. It was really flair. read more

The rooms were a little on the small side. The furnishings are slightly worn. However, the room was always clean and was cleaned thoroughly every day. You could notice that the the hotel was already a bit older. There was no special furnishings, but really a bed a closet TV and mirror, but our room has bath. With too much expectations but you shouldn't come.

  • Gastronomy
    4.0

Unlike most of the United States is here the breakfast included in the room rate. It is served in the restaurant Jeanne d'Arc restaurant, which is situated in the cellar. The room is really uniquely decorated. Breakfast was ok. However one had to an unfavorable time if attending a relatively long wait for a table. There is only one dish French toast or scrambled eggs and not with a breakfast buffet in German hotel or similar. To compare. But we were already looking forward to it at all the breakfast, we have little expectations.

  • Service

The staff was friendly but reserved. Room service was satisfying. Since we didn't have any complaints we couldn't judge the Reklamationsverhalten.

The hotel is located right in the middle of the city. A cable car stop is right in front of the hotel, so you can easily and elegantly to the pier. Only a few steps to the Union Square. If you have a U-bahn from the airport had to walk circa 10 minutes walk uphill to reach the hotel. The way back is more nicer.
