The hotel with its 40 rooms is inside narrow and winding, but it has its charm. The cleanliness was ok, the staff friendly.
But crumbled both on the exterior, as well as in the room the plaster chipped off of the walls.
The hotel is inside as outside urgently renovated. read more

Small city hotel in a central location on Hyde Park.
The tube (Lancaster Gate) is 5 minutes away, the bus stop is 2 minutes away.
It is the center (Oxford Circus) in maximum 15 minutes to reach..
Room was functional, rather small, for London but normal.
Very close is the pub ' the swan ', here you can quite good food, it is comfortable and at the weekend there is live music.
We have already been the 4. time here! read more

The hotel lies from the subway station 'Lancaster gate' only 5 minutes on foot away, therefore very centrally located. Furthermore lies opposite the Hyde park. Breakfast is continental very simple kept, but sufficient. Also fruit and small Müslipackungen, the you for the city can take are offered. Rooms simple but clean. Every day new towels! For all Reisendne, not much value on luxury couches and the hotel for city breaks only for sleeping benefit. Value for money for London simply good! read more

The location is ideal for a short break. The metro stations Lancaster gate, Bayswater and Queensway are in a few minutes easy to reach on foot. In Bayswater-Quartier there are also many restaurants. Guards hotel is very convenient (booked on the Internet) and the price performance ratio excellent. The room room was rather basic, the bathroom was small, but fine and very clean. The quality of the breakfast could certainly still be improved, but it was okay. read more

A predefined: We already have met some hotels in major cities, but unfortunately we cannot recommend this. The first room was a large basement room. This was very dark and it's right next to it in the courtyard a noisy air conditioner. The reception reacted on our complaints. We have another dark basement room without view ( the last room). Just over our bed creaky beamed ceiling, the us in the one or the other night awake at night. Only "ear plugs" could save our night's sleep. The hotel is in general had very thin walls. You can hear every ... TV, each phone call and conversations from other rooms. The breakfast was ok. Everything packets, really everything The hotel's location is really good. The subway-Station "Lancaster Gate" can be reached in a few minutes on foot. It's only good in all directions. The "Paddington Station" takes the walk a little longer. From here you can enjoy the airport as well as Windsor in about 30 minutes. CONCLUSION: We will be back. But not in this hotel. Sleep in a city break and relaxation is important. read more

We liked this hotel. We were greeted very friendly and made us feel very welcome. It is very centrally located, but very quiet close to Hyde Park. The breakfast was good and the staff always tries to fulfill every wish. When we return to London then we know where we can stay good and cheap. read more

For a city trip the hotel is more than adequate in size and shape. The Number of rooms spread over 4 floors (lift) and is manageable. From the outside it is a very well-kept impression across London Guards other comparable hotels. The interior is the hotel but older act as it really is. There were some Italians, but mostly Germans and Austrians in the hotel. read more

I would recommend the hotel to all cases through the internet, as it was at least with us so great value was - for the price we paid, we were less than expected. The walk to the Lancaster Gate underground station is approximately five minutes and just in the middle of the path is the pub Swan, which is a great atmosphere and the you can eat. The rooms are basic but clean and as the hotel is not on a busy street is also lovely and quiet. For breakfast, there were toast, jam, honey, Nutella, cereal and cornflakes, yogurt ... and fruit. To drink coffee, chocolate, milk, orange and a juice. read more

The hotel is located about 3 minutes walk from the Underground station Lancaster Gate. There is direct access and you need only short to get in to the center. The hotel itself is a bit dated and old-fashioned style. The rooms are a good size, the bathroom is a little small. The decor of the rooms is ideal with a safe, TV, kettle and fridge. Decor and furniture was a bit old, without jeopardising the good impression suffer. The choice of food and drinks from the continental breakfast was, as well as the taste, good. I wouldn't hesitate to stay ... visit this hotel at any time. read more

The hotel is highly recommended. It is right next to the Hyde Park in a quiet side street. The subway is only a few minutes walking distance. From there can take you anywhere in the city. It is very quiet at night. The hotel seems very winding. The room is small, but it was fully sufficient. The hotel is equipped with a television, and a refrigerator. The bathroom is kind of old and not more sparkling but very clean. The staff is very friendly. The small breakfast is enough. It will be toast, croissants, cereal, yogurt and fruit on offer. ... For a longer stay in London I'd recommend a more hotel. read more

The hotel is located in a very quiet, upscale area. The Hyde Park and the nearest subway station within a few minutes walk. A ascend to the famous sightseeing tours is nearby. There are several small kiosks and shops around the corner. Some small restaurants, mainly Greek and some pubs with live music are all within walking distance. read more

We stayed with four women for five days ( 4 nights) in a 4 bed room, the first double in an alcove ( big enough) with a window, by doorway (you came to the other beds, a double and a single bed. There were two armchairs ( but for a quad room 3 seating to little) and a small table, a chair, there was also. We had a fridge and a closet with safe (extra charge). Hair dryer was available, as well as a water heater with the coffee or tea making facility ( tea, coffee, milk and sugar ready ... and got refilled daily). The room was cleaned every day and there were fresh towels every day. The hotel is located in a quiet side street 5 minutes walk from Kensington Garden and the underground station. If you expect luxury this hotel is of course not for you. But for a city break in the evening to tired rubbish, is a great place. The breakfast was simple but sufficient, there was Sandwichtoast ( toaster is next to it), croissants, butter, jam, honey and Nutella, as well as several kinds of Kellogs ready and apples and bananas. drink there was coffee, tea, orange and apple juice. We brought sausage because five days only jam was nothing for us - fridge stands in the room. Also, we went out to eat lunch and rolls performed in the room in the evenings. All in all, we were very satisfied with our accomodation. It is an older hotel, rooms with high ceilings, bathroom fixtures too - but it was clean and that is the most important thing. Our suitcases before we could check-in at the front desk when you leave and the to leave we leave our bags before we left for the airport. For a city break we can only recommend this hotel! We will go again. read more
