The hotel lies together with the Palazzo directly on the Canale Grande, 100 meters from the Markusplatz. The bauer consists of a innovators part (photo) and a older part. These are back. The Palazzo borders directly at the canal. Breakfast area and terrace ( summer) right on the canal, unique! The view in the room went on a small inner courtyard, therefor rather dark. The flat screen tv is rather small. Therefore review with the room. The staff are, as a leading hotel of the world is excellently trained and very accommodating. Beware prices in the bar, it is a ... venetian five star hotel. However in any case a stay worth. read more

For a city stay through the central location was a great hotel. A something in the years come, but the is Venice is also. Many room have no nice view, you paid with the strong. But disturbs me the not to sleep. Is compensated for with the breakfast on the terrace overlooking the Grand Canal. Alone worth the hotel! If you are in the peace and quiet in the sun and watch how can come alive has the charm of Venice. read more

The hotel Bauer in Venice is a absolute sharpened hotel in top location, in the middle of Venice on Calle larga 22 marzo, one of the luxury-Streets. To the Piazza San Marco is comfortable in 3 minutes. The hotel consists of 3 parts, the Casa Nova (Neubau/Anbau), the farmer (bulk) and the Bauer Palazzo (age Venetian Palace), in which the most expensive rooms are. Casa Nova and Bauer have approximately 90 rooms and 18 suites. The Palazzo are approximately 40 rooms and 38 suites. The whole complex is about 150 meters long enough directly at the Canale Grande over. Next ... to the hotel runs a small channel and directly in front of the entrance there is a gondola. The front of the main entrance is in art Deco style the forties and embodies the charm of ancient Venice. The lobby is fantastic, lots of marble, Chandeliers from Murano glass and elegant leather chairs alone the entering the hall to a special experience. The hotel is Member of the ' leading hotels of the world '. The service is absolute top class, discreet and perfect, quite a old grand hotels and so, as one of the leading hotels is used. The guests come from all countries of the world. We have especially Americans, Italians and ' jet set Russians' as well as some Asians seen. We booked breakfast and what the absolute highlight. As a member of the ' leading clubs' there was an upgrade to a deluxe room and a small Venizianische glass vase as a present. read more

The rooms are fantastically beautiful and very well maintained. We had a beautiful, sunny and spacious room on the fifth floor with a view of the roofs from Venice. Left you could Canale Grande see and directly in front of the house was a small canal. The furnishing matched the one Grandhotel and was very well maintained with only very slight signs of use. For the safe in the wall, there was at the front desk a small key, as in good old days. The wardrobe was accessible and the bathroom with lots of marble and wonderful small mosaics decorated. Also here the cleanliness and the furnishings just perfect.

  • Gastronomy
    5.0

For breakfast, there is the 'bar Canale'. With good weather can one on a wonderful terrace at the Canale Grande sit. However it was very busy. Therefore, the guests also offered, the breakfast in the 'Settimo Cielo' drives, a wonderful roof terrace from Palazzo, the actually only the palazzo- guests reserved is. There is a view over the roofs venice with panorama on the Canale Grande, the Markusplatz and the campanile. Just lovely! The service is perfect and there is everything, what one for breakfast could wish for, including a glass sparkling wine! Only the rolls the Italian was not so good. At the nightclub 'b-bar' is unfortunately not so much the matter. The music is good, the drinks are okay and the prices steep. The gourmet restaurant 'de Pisis ' we didn't have, town center an excellent kitchen.

  • Service
    6.0

Also the service is absolute top class. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We wish a sunny, bright room and this wish was fulfilled immediately. The front desk is around the hour with able staff manned, the understand, each problem to resolve and endeavour, every wish to fulfill. If it doesn't work with Italian, then it's OK in English and of course, there is also staff, who speak German. The rooms in the morning as Geisterhand during the breakfast cleaned and of course, there is also evenings the 'turn down service' with aufgeschlagener blanket.

  • Sport & Entertainment
    4.0

A pool there were unfortunately not, but a good equipped fitness center as well as sauna and steam room at the palazzo.

The location is absolutely perfect. One reaches in a few minutes the Markusplatz and has a ideal starting point, around Venice discover. And if you would like to buy: the most expensive shops of the city beach chairs on the doorstep... From the airport you got along best with the water taxi to the hotel (cIRCA 80 euros). You can also bus to the main station and then about 30 minutes or a vaporetto (ferry) to take to Piazza San Marco.

Very beautiful hotel with small drawbacks archived

Our room was quite large, however a little dark. The room service was quite good and the staff was very friendly here. At the reception we rather gave a drawback. Here obviously nobody was able to react competently and friendly to complaints. We were presented a bill from the hotel bar (without signature), which was not ours. It was very surprising that in a 5 star hotel it was possible to give a different room number to order something to drink. The waitress was even rude and started to curse in Italian. A strange behavior for a 5 * - ... hotel. read more

See above, cleanliness great, but a little outdated for a 5 *- hotel

  • Gastronomy
    1.0

Disastrous: In the Deluxe Restaurant they mixed up the entree with the main course, the former was served after the main course ... The pauses between courses varied between 2 minutes and 1 1 / 2 hours .. This was topped only by the sommelier, who gave totally confusing recommendations, which in return he didn't bring, so you had to do with water... In summary: The view from the restaurant is very nice, but you can also enjoy it at breakfast without any hassle.

Friendly and courteous. The first time in my life five star service was really important: I had discovered large stains on my shirt, 45 minutes before leaving to the wedding of our friends. I received the shirt within 35 minutes washed and ironed in our room. This type of service we really appreciated only when we really needed it for the first time.
