The hotel lies together with the Palazzo directly on the Canale Grande, 100 meters from the Markusplatz.
The bauer consists of a innovators part (photo) and a older part. These are back. The Palazzo borders directly at the canal.
Breakfast area and terrace ( summer) right on the canal, unique!
The view in the room went on a small inner courtyard, therefor rather dark.
The flat screen tv is rather small. Therefore review with the room.
The staff are, as a leading hotel of the world is excellently trained and very accommodating.
Beware prices in the bar, it is a ... venetian five star hotel.
However in any case a stay worth. read more

For a city stay through the central location was a great hotel. A something in the years come, but the is Venice is also. Many room have no nice view, you paid with the strong. But disturbs me the not to sleep. Is compensated for with the breakfast on the terrace overlooking the Grand Canal. Alone worth the hotel! If you are in the peace and quiet in the sun and watch how can come alive has the charm of Venice. read more

The hotel Bauer in Venice is a absolute sharpened hotel in top location, in the middle of Venice on Calle larga 22 marzo, one of the luxury-Streets. To the Piazza San Marco is comfortable in 3 minutes. The hotel consists of 3 parts, the Casa Nova (Neubau/Anbau), the farmer (bulk) and the Bauer Palazzo (age Venetian Palace), in which the most expensive rooms are. Casa Nova and Bauer have approximately 90 rooms and 18 suites. The Palazzo are approximately 40 rooms and 38 suites. The whole complex is about 150 meters long enough directly at the Canale Grande over. Next ... to the hotel runs a small channel and directly in front of the entrance there is a gondola. The front of the main entrance is in art Deco style the forties and embodies the charm of ancient Venice. The lobby is fantastic, lots of marble, Chandeliers from Murano glass and elegant leather chairs alone the entering the hall to a special experience. The hotel is Member of the ' leading hotels of the world '. The service is absolute top class, discreet and perfect, quite a old grand hotels and so, as one of the leading hotels is used. The guests come from all countries of the world. We have especially Americans, Italians and ' jet set Russians' as well as some Asians seen. We booked breakfast and what the absolute highlight. As a member of the ' leading clubs' there was an upgrade to a deluxe room and a small Venizianische glass vase as a present. read more

Luxury hotel in a great location with corresponding professional service, but without flair and atmosphere. Vey motivated staff in a rather cold and modern ambience. As usual in Venice small room to high prices and a rather spartanic Italian buffet, but with a grandiose view. read more

Our room was quite large, however a little dark. The room service was quite good and the staff was very friendly here. At the reception we rather gave a drawback. Here obviously nobody was able to react competently and friendly to complaints. We were presented a bill from the hotel bar (without signature), which was not ours. It was very surprising that in a 5 star hotel it was possible to give a different room number to order something to drink. The waitress was even rude and started to curse in Italian. A strange behavior for a 5 * - ... hotel. read more

Bauer Hotel is one of the more traditional hotels in Venice.
The rooms are very clean, but also a little outdated when it comes to the furnishings. International guests, many Americans. read more

We were in July 2009 for 2 nights at the Hotel Bauer at a wedding. The first night we had a suite at the Hotel Bauer, the second night (on demand) in the Bauer Il Pallazzo. The Hotel Bauer and the Bauer Il Palazzo, were basically an interconnected building with separate entrances, reception areas and terraces. The Palazzo was somewhat the boutique hotel within the Bauer, had a half star more, and offered some rooms with view overlooking the Grand Canal. read more
