Hotel Serena^{(3 stars)}

For me alone the room was generous. The equipment sufficiently. Against the other evaluations, I had both sufficiently coat-hangers and shelves in the cabinet. The room had been freshly painted in merry yellow. The balcony very beautifully. It was not clean and I had anything to criticize.

I booked neither breakfast nor other meals, and/or taken up, there I prepared drank my breakfast and on the beautiful balcony the coffee.

I found great to service! The friendliness was not to over-bid both of receptionist (daughter of the house) landladies and other staff. The daughter speaks German. I got 6 fresh towels (more than I needed) in 7 days altogether room cleaning was every 2 days. I felt very much “at home”, in the morning and Abens was always completely cordially greeted there.

I did not use the offers, although the pool was really very enticing, tiptopp cleanly and very beautifully. Beach chairs were free. For children there were several playgrounds and the small ones was allowed even in the garden the plants to excavate and gardners play. Since I was however as single on the way, this was not important for me. I noticed however that the family of the hotel is extremely child dear.

I was pleasantly surprised over the Serena (after I had read some evaluations here). It was very beautiful to live there in the main house one week. The architecture of the main house pleased me from the outset really much. It both from the outside works maintained, inviting and simply sweetly (I do not like at all the other bed castle/multistoried buildings etc.), and inside was maintained and beautiful everything. Also it was absolute noiseless, so that I could fall asleep problem-free in the evening early. The other guests were not at my time all from Germany and it gave Gröler or similar everything levelful and recommendable.

I find the situation good, because the hotel is not directly because of the main street and thus is somewhat calmer. For buying there is only 1-2 minutes to the main street with all its small business/supermarkets/restaurant, Snack Buden etc. one runs also only few meters of direction Mesonghi over to the bus stop to come and to the taxi conditions. The bus is very inexpensive. A travel to the capital of the island costs straight times 2 euro! To the beach one only a few meter runs. However I preferred the other beaches of the island, which I could reach by bicycle (wheel check-out counters costs 5 euro). Beautiful trip possibility was the day on the small boat “Homer”. For 15 euro one can book this trip in the morning with the captain at 9.30 o'clock (inclusive freshness Greek salad! ). We are to be stayed different beaches/bays/fishing village etc. driven off with always sufficiently time around there something. Everywhere one can book there trips, no problem!

The rooms are sufficiently large. The mattresses are partly unfortunately already strongly through-convenient. Remedy one can provide however by the fact that one covers the warmer than buffer puts between mattress and purchase. The kitchen consists of refrigerator, one sink and two stove plates, whereby the second plate hardly earns this name… It is sufficiently cutlery and pots for two persons available. One should bring along oneself for detergents, drying cloths, Spülbürsten and other little things such as salt and pepper however!

As previously mentioned very affectionately prepares. The dinner consisted of a small hors-d'oeuvre plate with Greek specialities and salad. The main course changes all-evening and can in ahead be inquired. If one wants to along-eat as self-supports, then this must be indicated to 15 o'clock. For emergencies it gives to naturally supply itself also for self-supports the possibility at the bar within the pool range with beverages and small snack.

With the hotel it concerns a family business. The staff is sea-honors friendly and forestalling! In particular the “daughter of the house” speaks very good English and also little German. A somewhat dirty towel was exchanged behaviourless immediately against another. A removal into the more beautiful 1. Floor (balcony! ) was possible without problems.

There was a possibility Billard to play against fee. In the pool range a table tennis plate is available. Whether this is chargeable, is not well-known us. The pool is as mentioned very beautiful and had more than enough lying and sun screens. The beach is unfortunately something by cigarette dumps etc. contaminated. It exists and a sand/gravel mixture and is predominantly equipped with (very much) expensive couches (2 € per couch + 2 € per screen and day). However it is unproblematically possible to put with a towel between the couches. The water is beautiful clear and was pleasantly warm at the time of our stay. At the close road and along the beach are numerous bars and discotheques. Unfortunately are also quite audible this partial…

The rather small plant with main and auxiliary buildings spoils with a really beautiful and above all deep (to 2,50m) pool. There many guests longer vacation make and therefore one - probably recommendable - rented cars here use, are actually never overcrowded and calm the plant. Even if one finds the way only against 10 o'clock to the pool, one will be partly still first there. One can book the hotel with half-board. This is also very recommendable according to the local travel line, since the meal is prepared by the “nut/mother of the house”. We were as self-supports locally and (only) one evening there ate (price: 8,50 € beverages). It was really good. The rooms are cleaned 2x per week. On this occasion also the four towels (2x small/2x largely) are changed. These are probably of course somewhat older however quite acceptable. The rooms were sufficiently cleaned. At the time of our stay the plant was predominantly occupied with Germans and isolated dutchmen.

The beach is about 7 min footpath far away from the plant. This applies however only, if one leaves the plant over secret means, which lead by a field and a building ruin. There are purchase possibilities for self-supports there to Hauf. Recommendable it is probably to be made certain that some the there supermarkets pure tourist markets are and therefore extremely expensively. Of Al tip: If one leaves the plant direction road and descends thereafter on the right of, one reaches a well sorted and to some extent inexpensive supermarket already after short time on the left roadside, in which also native its purchases transact. Only one bit continues to give it on the left of still another very good baker! To the airport there is about 30 bus minutes - always at the beautiful coastal road along. The tour operator offers trip possibilities. If one booked a rented car and over sufficiently if time orders, one can explore the island on own fist.

The room is very cleanly, bright and has a large balcony. It is sufficient reservoir available and for 8€ can one the safe for the whole week rent. At the shower no shower curtain is present (TIP: Toilet paper and clothes from the bath take. ). The kitchen was quite meagerly equipped, so that there were only 2 copies from everything. (TIP: To carry forward one should: Sharp kitchen measurer, spice, detergent and rag, wiping cloth, possibly filter)

Since we had booked without food supply, we did not plan to eat in the hotel. On the first day us was however offered to be able to along-eat at any time dinner if one said answer on the same day. That we made once and were positively done by the typically Greek three-course meal. There was chickens with Rosmarinkartoffeln and vegetables, in addition Zaziki and salad (price: 8€). In addition one has the possibility small of snack and larger courts to order at any time (both typically German/European and nationaltypically). The Zaziki is particularly recommendable.

The staff was always forestalling, very friendly and at any time accessible. Every two days the room was cleaned, the garbage was emptied and new towels was brought.

Considering its that it concerns with the hotel Serena a small family three-star hotel, we were as we the relatively large and very clean pool saw positively surprised. There were numerous couches and sun screens (free). Each evening the pool range and the couches were cleaned. Over the pool were many plants and it clearly to to stay invited. Furthermore one can the table tennis plate free of charge use and against fee Billard play. A small playground is also present. At the gravelly sand beach one can for for each 2€ couches and screens check-out counters. One can very far in the sea in-runs (there is sandy soil). Unfortunately only few showers and toilets were present. The beach is directly because of a small promenade, where many restaurants were to be likewise found. Unfortunately played some of it constantly music so that we looked for then places, where one could lie calmly. Result: 6 suns for the hotel pool, 4 for the beach.

First: We are two students, who were on the search after a favorable relaxation vacation. Any “Schnick Schnack” was unimportant to us, but we were on the search for a small and family hotel in which one feel all around well can. These requirements specified above has the hotel Serena fill corresponded. We booked a Studio for 7 days. The hotel particularly captivated by its family atmosphere, which was radiated by the family of the house (the hotel is led by 4 generations). The hotel line speaks German and English. In our vacation period area German guests were to be found excluding.

The hotel is very beautifully convenient and surrounded by numerous Olivenbäumen, palms and Zypressen. It is calm and with some distance to the main street convenient. To the beach one runs over small secret means about 5 min. on the way there is many Souvenierläden to be found. (TIP: In Angelas Souvenierladen one can acquire very favorable air mattresses (4,00€). In other shops the same mattress cost 9,00€. ) The resort Moraitika is particularly coined/shaped by its numerous restaurants, Souvenierläden and Coctailbars. In direct proximity a disco is from which we however nothing at all heard. This may have lain to the Nebensaison. At all very few were the matter in the place by the Nebensaison. It is very positive that numerous pharmacies and physicians are in the place and a few meter removes a German-speaking physician resides. An attendance of the old local core of Moraitika (TIP is particularly recommendable: Start behind the supermarket “Coop” left the mountain. ) The tavern “Village” is definitely be worth worth thereby (good meal, merry operation). The capital Korfus is only 20km far away, so that on the one hand transport from/to the airport lasted only 40min and on the other hand a trip into the capital be absolutely undertaken should. The public bus drives several times daily and a ticket costs 2,00€.

We had the type of room Studio A. for us both were sufficiently large it. The balcony was equipped with two chairs, a table and a sun screen. We did not use the kitchen line, since we booked HALF BOARDS. But the refrigerator was “more popular” the. Unfortunately only the shower curtain was missing to us

We had booked our week vacation with half-board. The breakfast is rather simple, but tastes good. Some disks fresh weissbrot, jam, sausage or cheese as well as coffee, dte and O-juice stood daily on the Frühstückstisch. To evening bread there was each day fresh weissbrot, as well as a large Salatteller. The main foods were partial Greek specialities, sometimes also only spaghetti Bolognese: -) however it is totally more delicious. Thus we can recommend in any case in the hotel Serena from Mama´s kitchen to dinners.

The hotel family is endeavored around each guest. Nikoli, the daughter, can speak well German, otherwise all English can speak and also understand: -) The rooms are deseamed every two days, also the towels are changed. That is also necessary. Unfortunately there is no shower curtain in the bathroom. For this reason the bath stands after showering half under water: -) therefore it we always used a towel as bath runners.

The hotel looks from the outside very nice. With that about 20 rooms one becomes acquainted with also fast different guests. It is clean and the family is friendly and always helpful at each time.

From the airport one drives 35-45 min with the bus about to Moraitika. The hotel lies in a calm side street. To the beach one is about 5 minutes on the way. At the beach there are some small Snackbars. Unfortunately many couches and sun screen are distributed, but to our time the beach had never overflowed. From therefore it we probably-felt.

We booked this hotel with Kochnische, because we wanted not to go eating each day. The stove was however defective. Probably this problem would have been fast to repair owing to nice services, however us at the sight (and dirty rusted) of the stove plates and (meagerly existing) the kitchen implements, the desire on is cooks passed. In addition really nothing at all is present (like e.g. Table-ware cloths, detergent, salt, pepper etc.), so that we would have had to buy everything, which does not pay for one week. Besides a ant road ran directly by the room. In the bathroom no shower curtain was present, so that after each showering soil stood under water.

Very friendly service. The rooms are cleaned every 2 days.

Only the really beautiful pool made it bearable in this hotel.

The hotel lies rather central, which pleased us well. However also a discotheque is in the proximity, so that it can become rather loud on weekend already times. To the beach there is to foot about 15 min.

We rented ourselves for the vacation a Studio. The room was cleanly, relatively largely, not exaggerated luxuriös, but completely sufficiently. The kitchen consisted of two Kochplatten, a rinse, a refrigerator and (cook) table-ware - thus everything possesses, in order to be able to board two persons. The bath was not excessively large, but clean and completely ok. A shower curtain would have been only useful, needed one in addition, not necessarily. The balcony was enormous. Whereupon two chairs, a table and a sun screen - perfect. The rooms could be more comfortably (air conditioning system), then naturally no more at this favourable price. To that extent it is a outstanding price/achievement relationship.

There is the breakfast area as well as the pool bar. Since we selected only overnight accomodation, we cannot judge the breakfast. We ate or others in the pool bar and in a Greek evening participated: The meal was super (! ), sumptuously, more delicious, genuinly Greek (the nut/mother leads there the kitchen). The prices were normal to favorable. The atmosphere was always beautiful, the cocktails was really with love made (for example the barkeeper an orange thought for the decoration got broken - it rested not rather, to it a new, perfect decoration orange finished had).

The Serena is said like already a family business. The actual operators are probably parents, the three “children” (between 35 and 40) maintain however most contact to the guests. The whole family is super nicely and helpfully. English they speak flowing, in addition, on German one can inform oneself very very well. All are endeavored to arrange the stay as pleasant as possible. It is however under no circumstances the here often usual cool, artificial politeness, but a warm and cordial openness. The rooms are cleaned all two to three days. In addition belonged naturally we took the Müllentsorgung up, the change of towels and bedlinen, etc. additional service achievements not. It is however possible to rent over the hotel cars favorably. Complaints did not have we. Due to our impression of hotel and staff we assume however they are seriously taken and worked on briskly after possibility.

The hotel possesses a pool. It is between 80cm and 2,50m low and it gives a child basin. Beach chairs and sun screens were there EN mass (the leidige along-one-towel-lie-reserved it did not give therefore thank God). One can set oneself in the pool bar range to have and society plays or Billard (1 euro/play) play there to order also without something or watch television. Magazines and books are laid out as Relikte of other holiday-makers, which one can do without to ask oneself check-out counters. There is a small little house with toilets, so that one does not have to go each mark on the room. At the beach (by the way gravel/a sand beach) the couches cost against it euro per person to 3. At night one can be however free of charge because of the beach on the couches: -) It is however easily possible to put with a beach sheet to the sea.

The hotel consists of two buildings. In the one those of Studios (for two persons) are accommodated, in the other one the apartments (for families). The breakfast area is accommodated in the building with Studios. Between both the pool and the pool bar range lie. Here the dinner is served, in addition, during the day one can get meal, cocktail, beverages there. The Serena is very familiar led. There are about 10 of Studios and probably likewise many apartments. It is thus no hotel barracks, but everything very visible. Altogether the hotel is very clean. As it is usual on Korfu, no toilet paper may be thrown into the WC. This is for us at the beginning of somewhat unusual, one gets accustomed however fast to it. The guests, whom we met during our vacation, came from Germany, Austria and Holland.

To the conditions there is about 5 minutes, into the local center about 3-4 minutes. To the old part of town Moraitikas one goes about 10 minute (is worthwhile oneself however much! ). To Korfu city and thus to the airport one drives about 35 minutes with the bus, depending upon traffic conditions. The distance leads however directly at the sea along, is really beautiful therefore and seems to one more briefly. Besides one does not hear not one airplane in Moraitika. Purchase and maintenance possibilities in abundance are there. There is at least 8 supermarkets, a discotheque, some Cocktail bars and taverns in direct proximity. Of Al to trip possibilities offers allroute different bus and boat routes, in the place are likewise trips postable. Additionally one knows locally a car, a scooter or a quad rents itself - one should not go however necessarily to Six, it gives more favorable possibilities. Also with the normal regular buses the island is erkundbar. One should know however that the departure times are only “appoximate values”: -). This penalty are air-conditioned, unfortunately however possibly right full.

Studios were sufficiently largely, however quite economically furnished. After the photos in the Internet we had the impression that one painted in a beautiful yellow, and also the chairs on the balcony were again. The kitchen equipment was quite economical, but we needed actually also only glasses, plates, water digesters and the refrigerator. Everything was clean and for mosquitoes or times a few ants gives it to Paral… the family is anyhow endeavored to recondition ever further in addition are then autumn and winters there.

There was a large breakfast area, in the evening we always on the pool terrace ate. There one sat very comfortably and could all day long some snack gotten too much standard prices. The quality of the beverages and meals was good. There was korfiotische kitchen prepared by the nut/mother. Some prescriptions I become surely times after-cook. After some days the meal repeated itself, what however not bad we found, since all was more delicious. For the children there was if need be always to noodles or fries. The atmosphere was family and friendly. After a trip one always occurred oneself, as if one comes home.

The hotel is a family business, whereby parents do not speak German, the two daughters speaks German and English and the son speaks English. We found the father, who tried in the morning when breakfast serving to teach merry us to guests Greek. The rooms were cleaned every 2-3 days and the towels were changed also every 2-3 days. We had adjusted ourselves and to have detergents for a hand laundry had carried forward to no additional achievements. Care of children from the hotel did not give it, but the plant is so child friendly (child pool, swing, jack, table tennis, plays to check-out counters) that the children had to always do enough. The absolute Freundllichkeit showed up in it that I asked the one daughter, to the birthday of my godfather child a few flowers on the table to also place and we in the birthday of an enormous bouquet and one baked cake was then surprised!

Leisure offers such as trips were offered by allroute, we were gone through to have however only the route after Paxos, which is offered by the way also at the beach and in the place. The pool plant with couches and sun screens was calmly very cleanly, enclosed by palms, roses and other plants only one paradise. In the evening was gewässert and the pool was cleaned. The plant consists of two houses (main house with Studios and auxiliary building with family rooms). Studios worked painted and friendly, in the auxiliary building are renewed the baths. The furnishing is simple, but clean and appropriately. We had booked and were content half-board. The breakfast was simple, but there was also times an egg. The Serena is a calm family hotel (many families, individual pairs and little however traveler). At our time 1x was Dutchman, 1x Austrian and otherwise only German there, from 4 years to about 60 years, but were vacations. Altogether it was very informal and nevertheless calm.

The hotel lies about 30 minute from Korfu - city removes. The shopping street of Moraitika lies a few steps far away, however also the first disco (starting from the 2. We have night with ear plugs slept). In the place one gets everything that one needs. However partly at horrenden prices (Nivea sun means 22, - euro) water is however completely inexpensive. Clothes are more inexpensive than in Korfu - city and there are some completely nice shops. To the beach it goes at the beginning over a abenteuerllichen Pattweg, at which our children discovered so some lizard. The beach was more broadly than meant and it gave sufficient couches, however also the before times largest hotel at the place closed, so that we had much place. The water was clean and it went in slowly. The beach was not so clean (cigarette stubs), but since we were nearly only in the water, we did not find that so bad. There are trip possibilities many. We are once driven to Paxos with Grotteneinfahrt and bath-great on lake. Otherwise we rented ourselves for 6 days a car (in the hotel to ask) l

With the mattresses one feels at the beginning of the feathers/springs, but after one night one gets accustomed to. Otherwise all great!

We had booked ÜF. The breakfast is sufficient with weissbrot, cut open, O-juice and super coffee!

The family is very nice and helpful and fulfills also times extra desires.

Who does not want animation, is here exactly correct: Peace and relaxation purely! The pool and garden are very clean and maintained, it give sufficient couches and sun screens, which can be used in vain.

The hotel is of the pool was inspired cleanly and very comfortably, particularly we. The room size is perfect for two people.

If one found the trampling path to the beach, one is in 10 minutes. There, of the airport there is about 30 minutes. With the bus. There are purchase possibilities some, but our opinion pure “Touri rip-off” (e.g. Sun cream for 12-20 euro) - there it is favorable to lend themselves and in Korfu city shopping go a rented car or a scooter (in port proximity and also in Lefkimmi it gives Lidl). In the main street of Moraitika one finds however everything that one needs.
