Hotel Petradi Beach^{(3.5 stars)}

The Petradi Beach is a gorgeous hotel right on the see front. Quite a distance from the main tourist area so very traditional and quiet. A room with a sea view is a MUST! There is a busy road on the other side - and you wouldn't want to miss the gorgeous views of the see and Venitian Fortress anyway!! Quite far from the main resort area so if you don't like a 20 minute walk then you can hire a car - the hotel has a car park on the road. But we didn't and the walk was very ... enjoyable along the sea front! If you head away from the main resort up the road in the other direction there are a few lovely restaurants which are right by the sea serving excellent food and are not crowded with tourists. Hotel rooms are greek - which mean white washed and basic BUT comfy nevertheless. Satellite TV is great and the kitchenette is very useful as we often cooked a meal (Champion Large Supermarket 5mins drive/ 15mins walk away) and ate it on our balcony overlooking the sea. Lovely Pool (1 Adult and 1 Child) and beach next to eachother - beach very safe with a lifeguard and guidance flags. Beach is usally calm and has great views of the fortress. Overall a lovely hotel in an ideallic quiet setting right by the sea - very good value for money. Especially when you get a delicious breakfast every morning thrown in too!! read more
