At the front desk is friendly, if for our standards sometimes a bit clumsy. But over it can one way there marriages, one is not finally in Germany the complex is really clean, the same applies to the rooms. There were mostly american and spanish speaking guests there, a few russians (of the pleasant sort of!) And a few more guests spoke german. The age of the guests was mixed. All around everything very harmonious. read more

    The rooms was clean and of average size, the bathroom as well. The furniture consisted of a closet with mirrored doors, chairs, bedside tables and tv cabinet. There was a tv and a fridge, the regularly filled. There was a safe also there. Although we not rented have, never somewhat way. Of course we had no valuables openly to lie about. Note: the door to the balcony in the room 6219 left not close properly.

    We had all-inclusive, the choice of food was not überbrandend large, but what there was, was very good! There was for any taste always something (and also theme evenings/various nationalities). Praising to mention the excellent quality of served beef, irrespective of preparation. We stayed from verdaungsproblemen spared. In our reservation there were 2 times a visit in the theme restaurant by a mistake from the hotel the scheduling of the food at the brazilian we failed, but ultimately no matter was. There is several restaurants, some are with the shuttle. We have however on 'our' restaurant with attentive and clever workers no day want. - the people of the country are poor. A Dollar daily on the essenstisch under a plate and a Dollar daily on the bed for the maid apparently great pleasure and not hurt.

    The staff are s e r warm, with english you got along without problems, some german words are known, but you can't assume, that german fluently spoken. Tried a bit in the local language, reapeth recognition the waiter \u263a - the rooms were thoroughly cleaned. Additional services we didn't use.

    A visit to the oceanworld was in our package. On the prisoners dolphins have we but thankfully declined and hope, all sunday We will oceanworld maybe visit-if no delphinshows or similar more there! - since we as neugiersnasen on own fist on the way were, we didn't take part in any activities participated, we had enough entertainment. On the complex there were several pools, the always clean were. Beach towels were provided, free chairs and sunscreens were in our vacation endless available, the beach hardly visited-super! - Internet is for 5,- $ Dollar/half hour available.

    The hotel is located in north cathedral. Republic the shuttle from the airport costs with the taxi circa 2000 pesos (~40, -€), on the return journey we have 600 ps paid \u263a The beach is right by the sea \u263a oh, and the hotel right on the sandy beach. In our vacation there was a constant wind on the coast, there was strong waves. In the more immediate vicinity the hotel there is nothing-. You can go shopping at hotel prices in a small supermarket. There is on the complex, the several hotels includes, nice evening entertainment and also during the day something for the guests done. You could book excursions. They are expensive and we have on own fist trips started. If your not as goldbehangene supertouristen rumlauft, have their 'outside' beautiful experiences. Let you in the country and the people, drive from the main street with the guagua (= works as the service was tremendous. Dolmuş) for 20 ps/p. person to Puerto Plata (6 kilometer?) And look at itself around! Line f drives through Puerto Plata, line c on the outskirts and the bus station (from here continue for example after santiago). There is also a hochseilbahn ( teletrafico -from the main street. A motorradtaxi -motoconcho-for the drive to the station and then on the mountain by cable car - wonderful experience!). You can after sosua or after santiago drive. We had no problems, but in the dark always in the hotel back. - the beach from costambar is also very clean!

I was the complete month May in this hotel. Furnishings were very good, the buffets and drinks left nothing to be desired. Every Sunday VIP reception with show -program, Open-air concert (life -band) and large fireworks. The staff always friendly and helpful. I very gladly come again to this hotel back. In recent years, I have several times other hotels met, the lifestyle tropical beach was the best of its kind. Well I also, that it is not so lots of German vacations populated. read more

It has been our last vacation (march 2011, report :american beach hotel) not much has changed. Certain vip areas are newly built. We were our travel date with altogether 6 german vacations represented. The only german tour operator is Alltours. The rest is located in american-canadian hand but usually only 3-4 days stay. So practically every morning new faces at the beach. For these tourists is the vacation extremely good value for money and the vip room -surcharge costs only a couple Dollar more. It is now all tourists allowed at all vip -partying to participate. read more

    Standard the room as one it in a third country can expect. We had a room with a sea view on the 3. floor. Mini bar was a let down as advertised. Water i could initially only by request at the cleaning staff seconds. By tip it was always better so that we on the day of departure suddenly 5 full bottles are available. The rooms were cleaned daily and fresh towels hanging. A safe you should rent. Costs for two weeks :40 Dollar

    The main restaurant is the Casablanca where the majority of tourists ate. The line up for the a la carte - restaurants have we avoided. Except for a few exceptions was the quality of the dishes just mediocre (the meat often tough and dishes only luke warm). The selection left nothing to the imagination. The good news: we have always found something and were always full. The gastronomy is on american standards set: rather fast food. Since we every evening a Dollar tip given we were preferentially treated. The beverages stood for example already before opening of the restaurant on our table.

    The staff's hospitality is still better than last year. Everyone will everywhere with a friendly' ola ' welcomes. Tips: the american tourists give regularly tip since it in their country as is the custom. So don't be surprised if getränkegabe and liegenhinstellen always a few dollars flow. New: the actually ate and included mini bar not replenished anymore. When booking in travel agency this point in writing. Complaints on site corresponding documents only trouble for both sides.

    We only at the beach anyway which raked every morning was. Loungers were also quickly brought but gladly a small tip has been inserted. We didn't take advantage of the leisure activities on offer and finally no computer in walking distance. An access to the internet there are in the entrance area.

    Cleanliness and order in all areas capitalized. Next to the shops the main street right along there are on the main street left along after about 300 metres the tyrolean lounge of Herbert where you delicious freshly prepared cheap food. Near any bookings of excursions please remember: only the travel organizers are for all eventualities insured with other providers you can really beautiful bad luck have.

Altogether so a good hotel with nice staff, what a relaxing beach vacation made possible. In the hotel cIRCA 90% English( from the USA and Canada (including postpaid-Canadians), about 5% Spanish and 'only' altogether other 5% Europeans especially from Germany, Austria and Sweden. Special highlights were 2 daytrips (alltours), among which we amongst others the 'whale watching' cards of the peninsula Samana humpback whales could observe. read more

Huge area, consisting of volt and I. P, ' normal hotel complex. For people the the necessary, Kleingeld' have, it is a nice touch. We have used it not. Each Sunday is a beach party in the volt and there must I. P the, marvelous also there, including food and drink. Annoying were the time sharer the the people constantly angequatscht have. We have several excursions-Mar y Sol tours-much cheaper than the local providers, to become acquainted with country and people. Very to recommend the catamaran tour and the trip to samana. The food was very, very good and varied ... in the Casablanca restaurant. It is still another three restaurants, the have we but not visited. A big compliment to the tour guide from alltours, the us up to the departure has very well taken care of. read more

The tropical know since 2002, the kitchen was the worst year, 2007 only the installations were renovated for the life (with toggle contract) and something about pinselt Tyler, but not the room (unchanged since 2004), it is a tourist second despite all inclusive class 'unfortunate' read more

Those wishing to relax is very well cared for. Excursion possibilities are bookable through the travel agency, but very expensive, for example. It wasn't recommendable. Otherwise, you can have on your own to Puerto Plata, where it shopping opportunities. It's just a bit for. read more

A very nice hotel with a great pool. The entertainers weren't pushy and you can enjoy your stay. The food is awesome, there is something for everyone. The VIP catcher but everywhere but they will leave you alone if you said. Every evening a great entertainment. We had a lot of fun and will surely go back again. read more

The hotel gave us a relaxing and refreshing holiday. The hotel area was very large and clean. The staff is very friendly, only multilingual staff at the front desk was everything you feel is too much. If they are wandt you could expect a problem with the record. Especially at the beach we felt very comfortable and there was always free beach chairs. The service in the first week was good, however in the second week deminishes considerable. For everyone could soak the preferential treatment for VIP Guests. But this is no reason to visit the hotel to stay at ... again. Book rooms with ocean view, it should you have to go without, as this is often blocked by large trees. For this money you will be better off on your own to Puerto Plata and a beautiful day. read more

A great place to stay. I can only recommend it. Which sucks is the VIP room deal, but it is kay eventually understand it the say VIP room verkäuferer referred to make this the Teimsherring interisiert is not. Staff is super nice ... The waiter Vrallem Pablo ... And Silvio and Gina vn the lobby bar ... Absolutely great place ... Except for the beach a bit could have been cleaner ... read more

This hotel is quiet find it hard to recommend, beach was great, a few people, always free beach chairs, friendly bar staff at the beach bar. Also the dreaded VIP room Scouts let me peace and Heli is in 14 days only ended up three times. The staff was always very friendly, room was cleaned daily and the travel agent of alltours was great! Excursions were offered by the hotel, trips to the immediate surroundings one should go there on your own, is absolutely fun! The buffet food was good but a little "monotonous in the 14 days", therefore also ... use the other restaurants. The guests came from the USA, Mexico, Germany and during the weekends many dominican, but it was always very relaxed. The drinks at the bars were delicious - quiet the Show light snacks and also "special drinks"! The entertainment was not to my personal taste, the main loud and there was always USA music- if you on the beach but that wasn't a problem, only at the pool it was annoying. The pool itself was too warm and I felt that the cleaning was not taken seriously. Once a week evening at the pool a water-fire show offered, gorgeous. Lunch we had at the pool and the rest was the show los. The weather was beautifully warm, 5xhat it rained at night and 2x's at night was thunderstorm with a flood. This was a great hotel with lots of restaurants and leisure activities. Especially the consistently good mooded staff ( they have always a song on their lips) was very enjoyable! Excursions were absolutely recommended to get to know the land and its people. Also only friendly people to see if you not so financially. If you just wanted to on your own roadside and hands. When you get something for not a lot of money you everywhere. Remember forever we are also the beach will as good as was empty. It was clean and the beach chairs were almost only ... use it as the other holiday-makers mostly stayed by the pool. However, I would not recommend the ( too warm). Cocktails must go to all costs!!! This is the 2 time at this hotel & found it just as great as the year before The staff is always tried hard to please the guests & we have encountered no staff, the miserable! Food is open 24 hours, when the main restaurant "casa Blanca" is closed for the afternoon, there is the "blue lagoon" at night and if you can tolerate that not without food * grin *, this may then go to the "indochine", which open most of the night! entertainment was very diverse, the entertainers & dancers are designed to keep guests in the afternoon ... activities ( such as, table tennis, beach volley, aqua gym, aerobics, fun pool & beach toys or a beach Party) In the evening there is a great show, however, the evening entertainment except for one week, but if the shows, the checks the twice If you wanted to, you could go to the VIP club again, which is open until 4 am - otherwise there are nearby ocean world and to puerto plata city is it with a guagua ( local bus) also not far, there you could look at the rumfabrik and more! Room cleaning was good, as was the check-in and check-out! Once again we had a super great holiday, the next year I will be again in this hotel will reiterate! We were there for 2 weeks. But we booked our flight 5 before, and paid around 900 Euro. One who likes small dirty rooms, few selections by meals, including diarrhea (many guests were there) this hotel is for them. It is only acceptable as this is a 3 star hotel. There was also a 4 star hotel and for VIPs. But I cannot say anything about it. One will however recover with the beautiful weather, clean water and a somewhat clean and beautiful beach. The hotel is in a very good condition. At present everthing is again being very strongly renovated. Which doesnt disturb at all. The hotel consists of more than 3 floor buildings, which are very well-kept from outside. It is clearly laid out from the size. During our stay the nationaility structure, there are many Americans (40 %), English (30%), Dominicans (20%), Germand and Austrians (10%). The hotel is also very family friendly. During the time we were there, there were some children who had a lot of fun. read more

    Our first 2 rooms were catastrophic. The toilet flush was not operating, the refrigerator is leaked, and there were still hairs and stains in bed from the previous tourists. Ther was also mildew in the bathroom. Then the third room was super with seaview. But we have also got that after the third complaint. Dei rooms are excellently equipped with air-conditioning, ventilator, hair-dryer, TV, refrigerator and the styling of the room is designed very Caribean.

    One should not really say much about the restaurant, you can see that on my stomach. The food is excellent. American designed breakfast, everything sweet. The restaurants are super well-kept. The drinks all are also good. Special tipp: try Banana mama, it tastes genial.

    The service is friendly. In terms of language, English language knowledge is recommended, still better Spanish. When there are some difficutlies, there is also a german speaking guest service. The rooms are daily cleaned. Sometimes more, sometimes less. When you leave a dollar for a cleaning lady every 2 days, the rooms would be also really clean.

    The hotel is situated about half an hour away from airport. About 5 km away from Puerto Plata. The hotel is situated right on the sea. In the neighborhood there is one more hotel and a little bit further there is also Ocean World (An Art Aquarium, where you swim with grooves and dolphins).
