    The rooms are spacious, if a little tired. The tv you get the ZDF-channels came in. Drinks from the minibar we must also at al pay, but you can get drinks from the bars take it to the room, since nobody tells a bit.

    Really rarely friendly and accommodating staff had.     Circa 1,5 hours to the airport, several shopping centres nearby, night bars, clubs and restaurants nearby One of the most beautiful beaches of africa, invites to long walk on the beach, for example left from the hotel to kongomündung, about 25 minutes walk. A medium-sized hotel at the beach situated in the near distance to ukunda. The hotel has had a good architecture for a determined already better days experienced, but the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff again more than made up for it.     The room is big enough - could still be better. Air conditioning, balcony, safe (gg. Fee), mini bar (gg.     A main restaurant with buffet : dishes typical of the country, indian corner and european food. Some dishes are directly freshly prepared or grilled. It is really very extensive and diverse and especially very good!. Furthermore, there were 3 different restaurants for the reservation is required by us was not used. There are 4 bars. The ordered beverages must one also in all-inclusive- sign. Every evening was for the food musical entertainment (although not always the best-but funny).     The staff is friendly and helpful - one everywhere said hello and a smile comes contrary, as you would in your own country in the hotel would wish! English is the main language, but except good to very good german partially also other europ. Languages spoken. The cleaning of the rooms is top. I am very pleased, that the hand-and bath-towels really only then to be changed, if you this on the floor. Our housekeeper was often present and asked, wether everything is okay. Even our coffee was always immediately on the double increase. The mosquito net was in the morning rolled up and in the evening again lowered (for me would be the a heidenarbeit ), the bed turned down with a good-night goodies provided. After the return of the 4 d safari (rooms had to be removed-luggage in the hotel stored) we received a new room. Since the air conditioning didn't work, i called this the front desk and from a house technician accompanied back, this repaired. Unfortunately, there was also the fridge broken and the whole week not repaired-probably do so, because this for us not a problem represented. On the whole hotel there was security from the entrance to to the beach and also in the night. Also offered a beauty/massage parlor (massage highly recommended) and also a internetshop. As well as a small souvenir shop, where tickets and brands are available.

I was already three times over there, and it is as if i home come. A shame, as it has many from Poland and the changes the whole. The people are general a bit cheeky and they take more than what swiss and german guests we know is unfair would. That must be the directorate be careful. read more

The hotel is huge but well arranged. The number of beds is located at 600. the condition is still very good, and we all very clean kept. Half pension is enough, because al is too expensive. The guest structure was 70% from Poland. The german, swiss and austrians were at this time clearly in the minority. We have the throughout the years (14) still never experienced something like that! It was always' our hotel '! The Poland also in the evening in shorts (short shorts, partly discoloured) appear. Although the gentlemen in the evening long pants to pay (there is ... also at the entrance),they were buzzed in. The waiters then belongs, that you only these pants with, and the waiters have lowered. read more

    The rooms are spacious. The furniture already somewhat older, but they are again and again ok for us. The air conditioning was quiet and worked well. In the room stands a kettle and always coffee, milk powder, tea and sugar. Kettle always briefly wash, before you use it, because it gather always deposits. The bathroom and the toilet are sufficiently, the condition... It is in Kenya. Us it was always ok. Towels every day and they smell also not more musty. The cleanliness... Oh well, it was already 'wishy, washy'.

The food in the main restaurant was a massenfütterung for a mass tourism, in comparison to the last years very much worse. Every evening there was the same, with minor changes, and there were fewer, as 1 buffet table is also the mass tourism to the victims. Until last year was always change during dinner, at the indian. If you are not warm for breakfast, that is on krümelkäse, you not stuffy, the mushy and so is, directed. The sausage is in the morning not inviting. But there are also jam. The prices when it comes to water, beer or Sprite are outrageous in the amount left. Water 250 cc, beer 320, u. Sprite 170. in nakumat you get tusker beer for 100. so minibar empty and 5 liter container water (decant) and for beer pure.

    If the ferry is nice, is the distance to the hotel in 1-1,5 hours to create. In the meantime, there is a very modern supermarket, where one could get everything. The hotel is directly at the beach. The area you can well with matatu or by taxi explore. When taxi really good bargain!

A beautiful hotel, what probably already times better days seen. The garden of the hotel very well maintained. In our room there was a toilet, the only very badly worked. The bathtub invited for placement and not available plug not for swimming a, is however with existing shower also not necessary. The in the room existing refrigerator didn't work. The prices the all-inclusive area is covered. It cannot be, that you are in a country such as Kenya converted 1,60 Euro for a Cola in size 0,33 liter. Will be charged, where you outside of the complex 0 ...,20 Euro costs. You must be a long time at the main bar to wait, its asks for comment. Then one waits for the drinks, and then for the beverages sign, including gästename and number of the wristband, what the whole situation even more time required. The staff even with a few exceptions ( Julius from the grill) very rude. We were on our honeymoon and were with our wedding guests (6 people) and it really was not possible in the 6 days a regular table for 8 people to find. One had then an empty table found this from the staff as already occupied declared. Our friends had to despite previous reservation and corresponding payment with a 3. person in the room on the 'embedding' waiting. The promised mosquito net for the son of our friends had finally from our other friends made available are. It cannot be, that with regard to the high prices happens. Lunch, in different restaurants withing walking distance, was although it is very tasty, but left a with at least 1,5 hours until 2 hours but slowly the appetite lose. It should have the motivation of the staff consideration. At the beach was a quiet walk on the hotel's section not possible, as you as soon as you entered immediately by the local ' beach boys' besieged was. All in all a pleasant, quiet hotel with very love, friendly staff, the always ready to help, even if you - as we both, the didn't speak english. The rooms were already getting old, but clean and tidy. The property (garten/poolanlage) are in a good condition. Meals i. really good quality, selection also very plentiful. Drinks also okay. (all-inclusive but definitely ebenfehlenswert ). Our special thanks applies poolbarmann Stephen, he has with his friendly, loveable and funny attitude shown, that life is more than just work-hakuna matata. read more

The value for money was correct. The rooms including bathroom could have been a bit bigger. We have specially booked a superior room. After arrival one has told us, that the only difference in the location -in other words sea view-is. The 2 huge pools are all in all very nice, would have however partially repaired. We have several times to sharp knew hurt. The food was good. I have in the main restaurant a corner for children miss anything. It would have been nice, if they from time to time dishes such as chips or sausage for offer would ... have been. Whereas you at least at noon in the snack-bars of pizza and chips got everything. The gym is for african conditions above average well equipped. If you with the climatic conditions get along, there is everything for a work-out. What i didn't like, is, that you for the safe had to pay extra. And i thought it was a bit irritating, that one for each order, even if it 'all-inclusive' is, an extra document has to sign. read more

Great hotel! Can only recommend it. We have the 2. night the room oh e problems can change, as we exactly opposite the evening entertainment the room had. After that it was totally quiet in the room. An example for the service: my flip-flops are at the start the stay broke down. This i next to the trash can put, as they did fit. After the day at the beach were my flip-flops still in the room, but repaired. We were totally surprised, because we at that point in time also no tip for the room service left. The changed ... but then!-) Safari directly on-site over FTI and also super satisfied. Prices are fair and reasonable. To the boys at the beach enough was already written. I found it rather annoying. Have it with any kind of try (are enough to try it out). Friendly, aggressive, ignore, just what to buy. Will mean nothing. They are nevertheless. Tip: the gift shop in the hotel has absolutely good prices. No bargaining needed. Is not all. Apart from that: minutes 50% of the price. Excursion tip: buschtour. Very intense and exciting. School attendance, buschdoktor and more. read more

A great, massive, 'caribbean ' sandy beach – slightly sloped, where the loungers are. Against tip are the loungers mornings already prepared. At low tide great area for snorkelling to the reef, at high tide beautiful waves, in new moon, the water high up on the wall and all loungers on the hotel lawn processed. Diving school/-base right on the hotel beach (price/transfer = ok) Catamaran, but not pushy (we have people spoken, the at the beach a safari booked: cheaper and fully okay) Restaurant: always an offer with indian food! I love curry! Apart from that varied, but not ... overstuffy. Only drawback: all inclusive-cocktails are poor and the staff bar she has come. But staff comes also with tray to the beach. Gentle animation Internet costs! The annoying, because no wi-fi in the room, but only in the lobby read more

The hotel is quite manageable and i think not too big and not too small. A very nice beach and a beautiful sea we had all-inclusive i would recommend if you mainly beach holiday as it otherwise rather can be expensive. Drinks are great beer absolutely delicious.     The room is ok every evening against mosquitoes in the room gesprüt and the net is down left. The cleaning also well folded.     Friendly were the mitarbeitarbeiter all we had no complaints especially a security we have very in our hearts. The fat conner comes for the return trip clear that it was a check-out but the i my band (all-inclusive) have to give and no dinner or geweige something to drink get i have ever experienced. This is some what we the vacation at the end negative vote. Really ridiculous. Most strike themselves the plates full and then half weggeschmissen but a dinner for 2 person is not have achieved more.

We have for the 2. time our vacation southern palms hotel ( the 1. time 2006) and stayed at the all in all again very pleased. The hotel is directly at the beautiful Diani-beach, has a great pool area and was clearly arranged and large. The rooms are pleasant and functional decorated, however already somewhat ' in the years' old. But. Since one is anyway the least amount of time, and they were clean in principle. The staff is always friendly and tried very hard, the guest to fulfill every request, no matter wether in the restaurant, by the pool ... or at the front desk. Sometimes an order something daueren, but 'hakuna matata', we are on vacation and have time. All in all it was again very pleasant and we will a couple of years definitely again return read more

    Nice position right on the beach, shops in the immediate vicinity ( for example nakumat supermarket), but... You immediately got a or several companions, as soon as you onto the street goes. Basically not bad, sometimes but somewhat very annoying. Excursions: we have a flight safari ( 3 days/ so 2 nights ) in Masai Mara and it was wonderful nice. Our camp was called 'fig tree camp' and was perfect excellent. We had great pirschfahrten with a great guide, to have naturally also the 'big five' seen. The camp was located very nice on a river, with a bit of luck you can live there hippos watch, offers the best service, comfortable and very nice tents and super delicious food. And it has even a pool, in the you during the 'lunch' can refresh. Recommendation: we have the safari at the beach when Jonathan of weight-tours, since we have 300 Euro p. people paid less than if we the tour through our travel agency would have booked. When weight-tours everything was great organized, we were on time pick up and everything was very well arranged. So very recommendable!

Great holiday! Beautiful hotel, beautiful beach and very friendly staff. Only fly in the ointment was, that cash from the box at the front desk was stolen and the hotel manager did not care, as we reported it. Local at the beach were very annoying. Day trips should stay on the ground and with the tour operators to be booked. There are considerably cheaper and the price often negotiable. read more

The southern palms beach a very good hotel and really recommendable! We will be back... Very good is the diving station, in prices always act ;-) ... To some other reviews here, 60 Euro in the month as earnings is for kenyan standards very much! Nevertheless all over tip, that is clear! I think, you should even times the pool boys think... But their job make all excellent... The room service could be a little bit better and when it rained could in every room an umbrella ready... But apart from that everything perfect! read more

    Our room was on the ground floor it was equipped with a terrace, mini bar (to pay extra), coffee and tea, telephone, air conditioning, safety deposit box (2,20 Euro per day), tv (ZDF). A mosquito net is available. By the size it was adequate, the storage space was perfectly adequate (closet). The bathroom (separate shower and bath tub) are ok, a bit old but very clean.     The transfer to the airport takes about v2 hour, depending on how the ferry in mombassa drives.
