I have a month there, which was probably the most interesting vacation of my life was. You live in the middle of of all exotic animals which one in Afrika want to see and otherwise only knew from tv. Elephants, hippos, monkeys, etc. Right on the doorstep. Around only wonderful african nature and nevertheless you have to in the camp not even close to european luxury do. Especially a thick praise goes to the kitchen, i have rarely so well eaten in Afrika! read more

Not only the everything worked smoothly, but the very personal service made the trip to a special experience for us and our son (11 years).
What Jerry so everything on a simple charcoal grill scrumptous was amazing!
We can Gerti and her team really warmly recommend!
Again many thanks Gerti and Peter! read more

Comfortable small camp right on the Talekriver. All tents have a view of the river and shore areas, so that animal seals are guaranteed I. Great service, great food (congratulations to the chef!). The tents are functional and nicely equipped and very clean. Of course we had sheets! The morning wake-up call with coffee and cookies for the early hunts worked perfectly. The electricity was twice daily (early in the morning and in the afternoon to late evening). A flashlight is part of the tent facilities. The offered Bush walk is definitely recommendable (daily at 11:00 o'clock). By Masai ... Daniel we have the area around the camps of exploring on foot (only in the Masai village visit we)-very interesting and instructive. Thanks to our driver John-You were great! Thanks to your Eagle, we have a big five 'cracked'. Thank you again to the whole team (especially for those special tea.)-we felt very comfortable! The only, slight criticism: a bit more water pressure in the shower would be great. read more

I was in this year already the second time in Aruba-camp (January and August) and total loved it. If you want to enjoy pure nature and between the Safari on a dip in the pool, is right at home here! In any part of Africa (also the judging from other guests) you can admire so many animals. Alone in the Mara has more than 1000 lions, cheetahs about 25, about seven leopards, hyenas a large Büffelherde, elephants, hippos, crocodiles, Gnuh's, giraffes, wet horns, sea eagle, vulture of all kinds, baboon, mongoose, jackals, Serval, zebras. and not to mention countless antelopes ... of all kinds. In January (summer in the Mara) you can enjoy very good on the offspring of all the animals and in the summer (winter in the Mara) at the large Gnuh-hike (a, three million Gnuh's in the Mara, an incredible sight!). The climate is well; during the day, not too hot (no high air humidity) and the cold nights provide for a good night's sleep. The service in the camp was excellent, the kitchen also. The spacious tents, with a terrace to the river, are nicely equipped and in the beds sleep very well. The staff was very friendly and the price/performance ratio cannot be beat. I was certainly not the last time there! Heinz (from Frankfurt am Main) read more

There is a small problem
- Hotel not recommended

Facilities of the hotel was satisfactory, but far from Deluxe standard.
No sheets, but rather cover, which were not changed.
-View in dense bushes without chance of animal seals from the tent I
-A bucket next to the toilet suggested to the incompatibility of the toilet paper to go (however no sign or mündl. Note) and we followed this idea yet (!) the toilet was clogged twice daily (also with the neighbors)-Deluxe?
There was no lock on the tent, everyone has access, there is a wooden box for valuables with a cheap Castle
The existing plug in the tent was ... only on the third day shown (our iphones, batteries were in the evening always unsecured to recharge at the bar)
-Electricity and thus light gave it only in the evening-19 22:00, so it was very dark in the tent every morning (very unpleasant especially on the day of departure), problems with compressor were used
6:30 or 7:00 to order breakfast was not ready, but an early start on where safaris and is common (only with pressure of the guides came in the hallways in the morning)
Our room was on the second day not cleaned properly, personal items, the on the bed (our bedding) was covered by dust bags thrown
There are no soft zuckerfreien
-The food was average, the meat tough and not edible; chicken inside bloody
Toilet in the restaurant reminded of the station toilet from Varanasi-India.
-In an animal Safari lodge should determine books and detailed information about the national park, as well as animal be included in reports I, but unfortunately there were only old magazines
-In other words from a German gemanageten hotel was no trace
The Maasai Mara is a source, but the money disappears into the pocket of individual and is used not to protect the Parkes and its animals, on the production of a tourist infrastructure.
The way to the park for all visitors 90 kilometer dirt road on, which resembles a Materialschlacht and no back sick is highly recommended. The extremely strong dust from other vehicles can also be burdensome and over three hours for 90 kilometer! Absolutely go! If we would have known this before and would have been well advised, we couldn't have asked for the flight, as well as a decent Safari lodge in the park decide.
There is no park information (maps or similar) with a fee of 80 $per person/day. The Kruger National park is a fraction and the park is in excellent condition. So why in the much smaller and more expensive Maasai Mara National park not? You may find yourself waiting to generous donations from abroad despite the huge revenue?
-The 'offziellen' paths in the park are not marked. There are hundreds 'wild ' way, the guides were started, a terrible destruction. Many guides run throughout the area, which cut further turf destroyed (and taste of the food). For examining a black Rhinos drove some even in the bush, in which it is hidden. No respect for the animals! There is no control, although these offences are punishable.
On the square in front of the hotel/restaurant is the view to the period beginning on the opposite bank of the national park, only will nähernde animals by women, the suggested with Äxten (!) wood in the national park, expelled. The absence of control, just ignorance.
In the evening the Maasai their giant Kuhherden in the national herd. The wild animals are hurriedly when we saw the cattle of it. The cows (there are thousands) eat the grass of wild animals and it results from the first kilometers in the park Wildlife is no more. This behavior is not due to hunger, but the prestige-the more cattle, the more important the Maasai. read more

The family guided Aruba Mara camp in Masai Mara and the Masai Mara river gate. There are five tents available we had the elephant with three Swiss resort El quseir beds, all of which have a mosquito net. The tents are functional equipped with a small area for storage space, a dresser with a mirror and a through a wall separate tent bathroom with shower and toilet. In front of the tent is a small veranda with opportunities to sit. 24 hour electricity is available. In the evening you can find in all the bed a hot-water bottle ☺
For ... breakfast there are eggs, toast, jam and fruit. Beverages as juice, Coffee and hot chocolate are offered Pulver product. The lunch and dinner is served, soup, main course and dessert were delicious and very plentiful. The staff are very friendly and accommodating.

A small but fine tent camp in Masai Mara-river. The tents, we had number second (Duma-cheetah), are very clean, with bricked area, a large double bed with a mosquito net (in the evening warmth bottle), a locked cabinet (safe) and a small wooden with a direct view of the river. The area is a bit dark and poorly lighted. For guests with long hair, which require daily care, the shower can be a problem. The flow volume of water was very small (in drops). But therefor you are in the middle of the boonies!
What Gerdis team on the plates ... conjured you can only be described as brilliant. No five stars Restaurant but a five award-winning cuisine! Sammy, the'head waiter' is always in a good mood, competent and very nice. Should there at the campfire sometimes later, you'll be greeted by a Masai of the tent. Between the game drive was a 'nature walk', which we did 'Daniel' Masai, offered. Daniel did this piece of nature in Masai Mara, very close. Then we visited the Masai Mara-village. Since the market was (Wednesday), it was a highlight with title 'worth seeing!'.
With Masai 'Peter' we had an excellent guide as a driver, of all of our needs was received. Unfortunately also not conjure Masais and so we still lack the rhino, as well as the Leo ☹.
therefor we 'socks' (young ken. Dog), which made the camp unsafe ☺.
Assortment, camp owner, gave us the Airstrip and on the way to the camp a lot about 'their country' told.
We can only recommend this camp and will definitely come again. read more

We have three nice days in camp spent. Families had booked a tent with an extra bed. The tents are very spacious, the tiled bathroom.
The tents are right on the river and a large veranda Masai Mara with a view of the river. Every evening there is a hot water bottle ready in the bed, which also with correct bed linen equipped is. There is no buffet, it is served, the portions were very plentiful, some already too much. The food was very delicious, a thick plus. At the front of the restaurant and are
a few sitting areas ... and campfire place.
We were there with our own driver, but every day there was a driver
from camp 'heard'. The Masai Mara gate is located less than five minutes away.
All in all, we were very satisfied, I would recommend this Aruba Mara again at any time book. read more

I was often in Kenya, in early so-called super luxury lodges.
For all my enthusiasm for the wildlife could I still only give 2-3 days of the year. The prices of the other camps in the 400-1000 Euro on the day with the reviewer really are lifted. The buffet can be, how am I supposed to one day for €1000?
I know the Aruba-camp for four years and am so often, it is there. The costs for a shortstay earlier I can stay there are five times as long, without having to really on something. Maybe it is in Aruba-camp ... at noon No 20 different dishes to choose from, but, what is it, is going to taste at least. Here you will be rewarded with quality convinced, not quantity. read more
