Rydges Wellington (former holiday Inn) was completely newly renovated and converted! The hotel lies 5-minute walk from the Queens Wharf, as well as the shopping street! Great location! Modern, purist design the lobby from! The rooms are completely new and modern decor! Dreamlike views ( room high window) on the port from Wellington! Rooms are with small kitchen and large bathroom equipped! Absolutely recommendable nonetheless! read more

The Holiday Inn is located in the business district of Wellington, but still is easy access to the cable car and in the center. The parking is with 15,00 per night sporty but this is the only negative. The rooms are large and well equipped, even with microwave. felt very well Wellington is really nice but extremely windy. The cable car to the botanical gardens, the is beautiful and has a great outdoor play area. Of course, you Te Papa, the National Museum (free), really terrific and the Cuba Street. sit in the funky cafes and the always delicious ... coffee consume vegan and delicious dishes. The shops are funky. There's a Thai, in the fast food-style, super tasty and super cheap. read more

The Holiday Inn is centrally located in Wellington, only a few minutes drive from ferry terminal away and is also very close to the train station and is well worth the stars fully: Everything was very clean and new, great friendly service, in the room is nothing missing. Our room had direct view over the bay of Wellington/harbor with lots of natural light and friendly. With the usual equipment, there were still a fully equipped kitchenette with two Cerankochplatten, microwave, kettle etc. As it should be in the New Zealand Weintrinkernation heard wine glasses, of course there were available - ... very nice. A special feature of the room: The bathroom is through a matt glass wall separated from rest of the room, the area itself was a witty idea, but is just behind the wall toilet - we liked it didn't bother us, more than frames you don't see another layout, but maybe in the bathroom would be SMARTER; -) for our one night package there was also a great breakfast buffet; great choice, everything is well presented and delicious. valet parking for your car there was only cost $15 per day, perfectly fine for this location and a city like Wellington. A pool was available, but unfortunately we did not use. read more

The Holiday Inn on the featherston street is a recently built hotel in a central location. Train station, harbor promenade and main shopping streets are short walk away. The glass-fronted 17stöckige house because of its dynamic. The 280 guestrooms are spacious, luxurious and highly tastefully decorated. Like all the hotels we met in New Zealand, include hair dryers, free safe and a fully equipped kitchenette including iron, iron and ironing board also the standard in these rooms. We had a room facing the street, at the weekend was very quiet. From the wind, the here around the house is veiled ..., we realized nothing. I don't know if the rooms facing the marina area, especially in the upper floors, the better choice. Before the port promenade is a very busy thoroughfare, and the strong wind is always from West, so from the harbor. Pool, sauna and gym which we didn't use. The breakfast room, which also serves as a restaurant, is integrated in the lobby area. For this great hotel, it is easy to small dimensioned. And decoration and design of the room I absolutely didn't like. Under the unhappy layout suffers from the presentation of buffets. The selection of food is not so plentiful as usual otherwise in an appropriate hotel category. The quality of the food I can't comment on it as my wife and I almost didn't use facilities. Conclusion: A modern, brand new city hotel. Highly recommended. read more
