Our (father and daughter) top - hotel for the skiing vacation in saas-fee. 2013 was our 5. year du glacier. We were before it in two other hotels, however every time something missing for completely be comfortable. Du glacier was then great food, great wellness, pleasant staff - here we have (56 and 14) us then really comfortable! And saas-fee is a car-free town, which for me-in particular in the winter - in the meantime a must has become. A commentary on ' the best value for money in saas-fee ': you should general price level in Switzerland and the ... exchange rate franc / Euro account. read more

We have a great week in the hotel had. The staff were more than net and the hotel is very centrally located. Coop and migroß are on the doorstep. The bellman always to the lift with the electric taxi. Guests with high culinary expectations have to the expectations something down 'screw' but the chef has already effort. read more

Unfortunately reservations (table and taxi) is not working. In the bar we were not at all welcome, at 23:00 o'clock there was still another drink, then the guests left alone, that means the barman was no longer present, the receptionist asked us at 23:30 o'clock to go, since they have to close. Since we on the sunday our half board wanted to redeem we were allowed into another hotel go, because the own restaurant because of to low utilization was closed, only we got a 3 course dinner serves, not 4 star, respectively not 5 star standard (the ... replacement hotel cost 5 stars) and the service very inattentive, we got wrong food and had to the beverages itself refill, 5 stars? read more

Beautiful tastefully equipped hotel, excellent cuisine, friendly staff, would stay here again in a heartbeat. The wellness area is very small, the jacuzzi tubs are great with a view of the allalinhorn. read more

Style), from after the first steps in the hotel, streams a. The four star hotel du glacier was 1901 one of the first hotels in saas-fee. It was 1996 while nine months rebuilt, is since 2005 of the family anthamatten and by a young, dynamic couple ( santina and Pascal) competent and with a great deal of heart run. The team members are mostly around the 30 years young. The hotel has despite its optical size only 40 room ( single, double, double superior, suites, family room). Some rooms have a small balcony. read more

    Our superior room consisted of a small bedroom and a living area. The furnishing is functional, old and stuffy. Everything is very clean. The mattresses are good. Shelf space and places to sit are abundant. Safe, a in addition lockable boxes and mini bar are available. A large lcd -flat screen-tv and dvd abspielgerät belong the facilities. The bathroom with from the hotel was very good and bath tub/ shower is big enough and with the usual implements equipped. The toilet is not separately. A small balcony with two chairs permits smoke with a view of mountains, glacier and funicular railways.

    Breakfast and eat at the panorama restaurant mondial restaurant. At the breakfast buffet is everything available what for a four-star hotel usual: various juices and breads, croissants, muesli, meat, cheese, hard boiled eggs, scrambled egg, bacon, sausage. The half board consists of a 4-course choice menu: salad from the buffet or appetizer from of the kitchen, soup or juice, meat or fish, dessert or glace/sorbet or cheese platter. For vegetarians become on request special menus together. It is well, creative and with fresh products cooked. If possible, will be suppliers from the village into account. The soups, the vegetables and the desserts are each especially good. The wine list is extensive and allocates 80% walliserweine on.     The strong service- and customer focus the whole hotel team from. All of the staff inside are very friendly, set up, helpful and competent. And a treat in Switzerland unfortunately no matter. Three example: A bellman to the minute with his electric cart drove with the bus station of saas fee and unasked before check in will be charged the luggage brought to the room. To 2. I with the reservation for a room as in a upper floor. We stayed this on the 3rd floor. To the 3. I prior to the notification of the wine list asked. This was me within hours via mail. Good cell phone and wi-fi-front desk in the entire place. Wi-fi via password is free of charge. At the front desk there is also a free internet-corner.

    The great newer wellness complex offers from the large (for up to 7 persons) finnish sauna, from the resting room and the three free as well hot tub -bath tubs a breathtaking view of the well and feegletscher.     The hotel is toward the south and the south -room ( glacier -room) offer with a fantastic view on the feegletscher and the two viertausender allalin and well. Sideways right you can see the viertausender täschhorn, cathedral and lenzspitze. Where you can see the hotel room on five nearby, striking viertausender? The hotel lies in the middle of saas-fee a stone's throw from the town square and the village, but the clock during the night - luckily - not proposing. In spite of the central location is it quiet. Lots of shops included Migros and coop are only some meters away.

Very nice patriarchal hotel, we really enjoyed it, the breakfast and dinner of magnificent quality. The room with a view of the glacier is something special. If we go back to SAAs fee are, then only at du glacier, as long as discontd are available. Again many thanks to the friendly staff. It is reasonable value for money. read more

These are however generous and also have a seating area. Wether from the rooms (only south side) or from the dining room (rest. Mondial) or the wellness area – of everywhere you had a lovely view of the glaciated mischabelkette. There is in Europa not many hotel room, the this view allowed.     The rooms were very spacious and with the most decorated what is needed (hair dryer, safe, mini bar, großflachbild -tv with over 50 programs (pal). Dvd player is available. Also the bathroom is spacious. Our room had 2 window and a balcony on the enchanting view of the 4000. Moved or the pure sun could enjoy. At 15 degrees celsius, pure sunshine on 1'800 meters over sea middle march in t-shirt and shorts when reading a book, the was great. Almost every day clean cleaning.

    The gastronomy corresponded to a 4 star hotel. The breakfast was good and there was enough although also not anything special. The bread i all dark or vollkornsorten missed. This is today not anymore. Healthy is wheat and not white bread. In the evening there was a 4-course menu the rest. Mondial or three courses to choose from in the a la carte restaurant. Feeloch. The half board the mondial restaurant. In the hotel description is, that you also for vegetarians could have been, but in the menu selection was not sunday Was always main course meat or fish. The corridors are almost too much. Especially the soup is almost as much, as i in the winter at home as supper verspeise. She is however so good, that you can leave. The dishes were all excellent and tender prepared.

    The staff are young and very friendly. Waiting times we could not find. We were always served immediately. We had a package on the internet (not directly about the hotel) with room booked half board. The hotel has different restaurants. Here you can for the half board à la carte food. For the expensive food is a small extra charge to pay. But it is worth it to book this. Room service and the service in the restaurants is very good.

    In the house there is a small, fine spa facilities with 3 free jacuzzi tubs, via push cleaned and newly filled. Afterwards you can approximately 10 to 15 minutes with direct view of the glacier let yourself be pampered. Far does the area over two finnish saunas and a steam bath. Also some older fitness equipment are available. Under charge of chf 35:00 you can get a 5 * spa in a a nearby location 5 stars hotel visit (from 3 days stay).

    The hotel is situated in the middle of heart of saas fee. Direct next to the main entrance is located in the same building a migroß branch. 1/4 minute away, there is a coop branch. The trains are in a few minutes easy to reach on foot. Nevertheless it was in the very quiet at night.

After dozens of skiurlauben in Austria, now our first ski holiday in Switzerland! Pure nature, beautiful ski area, modern and traditional ski resort, but not a halli -Galli to the party. International clientele, older generation. Half board because of the high prices in the restaurants of advantage. Rates but altogether not so high as expected. Goes still. It's good value for money. We were very comfortable and can the hotel and the place absolutely recommend. read more

Nice hotel in the heart of SAAs fees located with very dedicated and friendly staff. Good value for money. The family room is very generously with sufficient space for children and adults. The staff are very child-friendly and use the child care sister opposite recommendable nonetheless. Who this hotel with half board bay, can have a varied breakfast buffet and excellent 4 course choice menu in the evening guests. In short: this was neither the first nor the last vacation in SAAs-fee and du glacier ☺ read more

High motivated, warm and very helpful people from the beginning to the end. Wonderful panorama both from the room from, as well as from the spa facilities. The whole day there was nothing to moan about. Arrival and enjoy was the motto. Very recommendable are also the restaurants and especially the Ehringer -Beef fillet in waiter-restaurant. We used the wonderful wellness area in the partner hotel. The good atmosphere, the courteous service the hotel has well temperature of the room always a bit too high, since heating was not changed individually adjustable is. read more

The balcony rooms of the hotel provide a great view of the Gletscherlandschaft, for the SAAs-fee is famous. The hotel is not very personal and equipped a bit sterile, but the staff are very friendly and helpful. read more

The hotel is located in the centre of SAAs fee. The lifting facilities are within a few minutes to reach. The transfer from the Pakhaus to the hotel and back worked excellent-we had not five minutes of waiting. We had a junior suite, which was very spacious and well equipped. From the balcony you had a fantastic view over the mountains around SAAs fee. At the breakfast buffet you had a great choice and the quality was excellent. For dinner we were in Feeloch-here is the food was partially opened fire prepared. Price/performance ratio was very good. A bit annoying ... was, that of nearby Dorfplatzes are some pubs and it until 01.00 o'clock evening is a certain noise level. For us it was a nice, relaxing weekend in SAAs fee read more

For guests with half-board there is regular evening very difficult, the creations of kitchen on the map to see, since even the wait staff (usually just age!) were not in the location is, the guest to explain this spontaneously. In addition to other terrible deficit of the staff, the very spectacular, and at the guest can only shake. Examples of these are: -Silverware were first after the court at the request of the guests (!) (not an isolated incident) handed Guests will be touched by its own weaknesses. To compensate -Youthfulness of the incompetent staff and excessive, obviously fake friendliness ... to conceal the serious scale shortcomings. -no tidying hand in the background (maître, head waiter) 4-star there is a joke in contrast to a fantastic kitchen, which is highly professional presented, even in the attached 'Feeloch' Summary: price/performance do not four stars and for a hotel that is not enough, it is not only the food and the room service vote! It is not a better youth hostel! Very sad, that the hotel management does not recognize. read more
