The hotel is located directly by the main train station, however this is about 800 meters away from the actual city center. Since we gladly on foot are traveling, we didn't mind.
The public areas of the hotel are in a very modern design and probably recently been renovated, but was missing the real 'designer hotel' the necessary consistency, which also in our room reflected: nice furniture, however old and dirty carpet. Also muffte the room very.
The modern restaurant is in our opinion failed: it is extreem dark and everything is very close together. A part of the breakfast ... restaurants is only a building of tents. Selection of food and taste were reasonable, but what not at all -and not at all in a 4 star hotel-is the coffee - disgusting plürre!
Because of the large hotel in Florence we would next time another accomodation choose. Because the hotel however all in all okay is, we can still recommend it - without breakfast! read more

The hotel lies opposite the busy train station from Florence. Also the penalty for the round travels keep in front of the hotel. It is thus for plentiful hustle and bustle catered for. Through the windows we could the hustle and bustle of great watch. But we were really surprised: the closed window were so close, that no loud of outside was to be heard. The sights of interest ( Museums, Cathedrals, but also the many restaurants, Piazzas) are reachable in a few minutes. Our room was spacious and was meticulously kept clean the shower but might be for more ... popular guests was much too close. The hotel tried hard, with state-of-the-art facility, impressive. So quite succeeded but it seems not to be. On closer look but some things to complain about: breakfast is reasonable, a small offer from the great ham, the Tuscany is, we would have liked but already expected. The breakfast room made a weird impression: the windows are with curtains always tightly closed. The weird wall lamps (continuously Changes the color of the light) can be used only very sparse light. The Most Unpleasant thing is however the odor on the whole room. ( Directly in front of the windows the Frühstückzimmers is, as we soon noticed, the garage for the buses of the transport undertaking SITA) it smells so after gasoline or oil, that we on the first day the place several times change, a reasonably pleasant corner. But you get used to it!
The staff works professionally.
The location of the hotel offers of course great possibilities for excursions to Pisa ( with the train around 14 €per person-and retoure-in a little more than an hour. Also the train station from Pisa is very centrally located). To Siena, San Gimignone and vineyards of Tuscany one drives best with a bus. ( with a you can find in the cities hardly a parking space)
In short: the hotel for a city trip in the best way suitably, because you actually only for sleeping and breakfast in the building comes. read more

Perfect hotel for a city break. The hotel is located directly by the main train station and all sights are from there easy to reach on foot.
The room is clean and very modern decor. Breakfast buffet is excellent, lots of choice.
I would immediately again this hotel stay.
We were by car in Florence, were able to park in the parking garage ( however 25 Euro per night).
Next to the hotel is a pizzeria, very good food, good price. read more

The front desk of the two young ladies were not very friendly. The two men from the evening service were much friendlier, we got a good recommendation for a small restaurant nearby (IL portals). Annoying is the tourism of four €per person per night, since 1 July 2011 from the city of Florence is applicable. Our room was nice and clean, although a bit small for a superior room. The bathroom was clean and spacious. Unfortunately missed some things, the a four-star hotel should actually be taken for granted. So in the bathtub/shower was able (danger of slipping!) appropriate there ... were no tissues. In addition the room very poorly lit. At the desk there was no lamp so gloomy, not that you could read and write. The cabinet, in a passage was was not lit. No price list for the minibar or for the telephone charges in the room. Our room on the fifth floor, was despite the Verkehrslärmes quite quiet. Good Soundproofing. The maid the room exemplary cleaned and tidy. The breakfast room was not very attractive and quite dark. The quality of the food was just average. With one exception, there was no fresh fruit, everything else was out of a tin. No freshly squeezed juices. The coffee comes from the automat. The location of the hotel is very good, right next to the main station. Almost all sights are easy to reach on foot. Bus stops immediate nearby. read more

I felt like me three nights long at the hotel well cared for and have slept on the good mattress good. Bathroom was OK, breakfast was-until on machine coffee, and the in italy! Good and plentiful, the atmosphere in the breakfast room OK on check-in and check-out was already waiting to it, is what but plausible, if a full bus loads of guests. be two people with cars rather not recommended-arrival, the neighboring parking garage is reasonably priced rather luxury tax liable. read more

The B&H hotel ambasciatori is a recently refurbished hotel to just opposite the main station in Florence a busy road, from the you but thanks to the good sound-insulating Windows not end much easier.
Because of its proximity to the bus station and train station is the hotel is an ideal starting point for the investigation of the city and the entire surrounding area.
What the staff, we were treated like 'normal' tourists: first a few minutes left, then without large warmth and processed. The check out ran similar from, only that one us still a little longer wait.
It ... was the waiting staff at breakfast (over-) keen very: hardly beach on the breakfast table, is to get a coffee to, was already covered the table also. Well, after the once and then it is something unpleasant was, everything went well and the rest of the two days we had no problems more! ☺
Otherwise was the breakfast for Italian conditions acceptable-not to much variety, but also not to much. It was at least fresh fruit, three kinds of cereal, a lot of sweets, bread rolls jams, olives, three sorts of sausages, two types of cheese and eggs.
What the cleanliness of the hotel rooms is concerned, this was decent. Although it was here and there a spot, the cleaning lady was, but on the whole was everything OK.
Our room itself was of average size, had a very comfortable bed with new, hard mattresses, a TV (only with Italian channels!), a closet and a safe.
Unfortunately, you could see the bathroom, just how motivated the workers in pursuing the renovation or how much (or rather: how little!) allowed the renovation costs: the bathroom-fixtures were only temporarily fixed, the flushing of the toilet covered area not more the switch of the old switch, which made it the plaster-upgrades could cistern, etc.
However, what was not what us most and didn't disturb our stay, the smell was in the room, and all in the bathroom: it smelled really bad like drain, as the drains were apparently not properly attached or it under the tiles rots.
Therefore, our assessment: only conditionally recommendable!
Without the bestial smell for not too demanding the hotel as a place to stay for guests a city break have been quite passable. But I would definitely stay there not more (at least not in room 239!) read more

A very modern, luxurious hotel. It offers a very large breakfast buffet with delicious and varied food.
But it lacks a little in an idyllic setting, as it is in the center of the city of Florence is.
But one experiences the Italian culture as soon as you walk out of the window.
Parking is free it unfortunately not, but they offered us the possibility, the car in a parking garage for parking charge to leave. read more
