Very nice, if quiete simple hotel at a wonderful location, very friendly and competent staff, ideal for a beach holiday. Some comments say the food was not good, that is absolutely not true, i enjoyed the spicy meals very much, perhaps there has been an improvement due to the fact that they have a new manager there, mr.. Hewawasam, who takes very good care of the wishes of the guests. I had a great holiday there and would return every time. read more

The room is simply furnished. The view of the sea is given, however in the second row. One looks on the davorgelagerten buildings away. Cleanliness is ok given, the furniture run-down. Construction was a disturbance. As well as the noisy other guests, until o'clock mornings. Probably drinking sprees. Could also the pool not be used, there locals this as playground used and populated. The food was simple a catastrophe. As well, but the taste and quality an impertinence. The chef asked, which fish being offered, he said, tuna. As a cook it should know better. A small, very grätenreicher fish ..., cannot be a tuna are. Salt and pepper were on a table there. The evening music loud and pushy. Lots of russians. read more

    As already described, for 50 Euro a night and half board, overpriced and an impertinence. I am often in Sri Lanka, but such a lack of quality the food, I did not even in simple guesthouses found.     The front desk unbelievable customer service. On my complaint, the tv in the room would not work, said the receptionist, I could in the entrance hall television (!). On the next day my zimmerfernseher then set. My tuk-tuk driver couldn't on my room and the luggage there and pick-up, this is not allowed. The front desk came in person to the room with threatening gestures, the driver from the room to hunt. It was not only the driver, but also his wife and child, with which I for years friend of mine. Very hospitable everything! The English of the staff are bad, but you could get as far as communicate. The room boy did his work satisfactory.

Really nice hotel. We like to travel back. The staff are attentive and helps immediately. Complaints are taken care of immediately. Food could be a bit on edge diminish. Apart from that is the price-performance super. read more

The ageing hotel is nevertheless in good condition. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The sea and the pool are in a class of its own. When our 3 week stay changed the quality of the April weather. Week 1, many Eastern Europeans = very bad food! Week 2, many British people = food was excellent! Week 3, many uncultivated East Europeans = food worse than in week first the can, you have week 2 proven. Actually a great shame! read more

For 2, 5 stars are appropriate, room very simple and functional, but it was completely sufficed, bungalows wonderful position right on the beach. We had all-inclusive. Swimming pool is very clean and a good size. Staff are very friendly and the room boys are true artists decoration of the bed. We were in the village, a short distance to pool, restaurant and bar. However are unfortunately quite a lot russian guests been there. However is the front desk with the division and planning the tourists guests for layout a bit overburdened.     The rooms are very simple, although we one new mattress had and slept soundly. The air conditioning ran very well, we needed. Fan didn't try it. The shower is beautifully large and the bathroom also. However you have to the eyes a little push, because it is of course everything a bit old and ailing. However water came even quite hot and the toilet was quite new. We had no telephone ( before in the room was one and a tv) and no tv. We have however also not used. The juice you have to at the front desk rent, with us was none available.

    We were only in the restaurant in the village food. Some went into the beach, because it's a bit stylish and better would be, but we were satisfied, are always full and the selection of dishes was ok. However were drinks almost never brought, therefore we took us from the bar just our drinks with high in the restaurant. The dishes were not hot, but that is in the country as usual, and almost everything very well seasoned. For children is a lot too hot. There was always 2 different types of rice, mashed potatoes or kartoffelstückchen, soup (very good ), fish,2 currypasten (i only tried it once and fire spat ), meat was diversified beef and hänhchen, however sauce is almost never there. Desserts are delicious, always cakes, puddings, fruit

    Overall the staff was very friendly. Partly. German, but with english one has everywhere can communicate. The cleaning of the rooms was fine, and in the afternoon were always new beach and beach towels, one could take, as much as you want. Laundry service we didn't use, doctor no used and apart from that we were in our tour guide at the beach called piya in very good hands. We recommend him therefore right away, because it helped us with transactions of any type always immediately helped us and we took a 3 day trip with him, the us wundevolle insight into the country. Near dealing with complaints, what we only the move in a bungalow included, we tried to help and after 3 days we had then our small house at the sea.

    The pool in the village is large and clean. As you in the sea not really swim, we did a lot of use. In the sea was then only wellenhüpfen announced-but with caution-strong surf.     The location is a dream, forever beach for hiking, until a schildkrötenauffangstation. But please only if cloudy, otherwise it is a höllenmarsch. You can also with the viennese jungle past, a restaurant with german owners, i think. In the area the koggala lake, turtles and snake farm, galle with fort and shops, unawatuna bay for swimming, snorkeling and diving, good proximity to yala national park. If the tour operator finally the new highway would go, for us it was unfortunately no that, shortened the transfer time of about 5 on 3 hours We saw it as free sightseeing and was nevertheless very interesting.

Only for adults suitable. Beach with strong current. Hotel altogether unclean, worn and despite Hard-working staff (always after tip) no recommendation value. Very nice nature, beautiful excursions planable on Piya beach boy( approximately 50 years old) speaks very good German and is absolutely reliable-can get And organize. Pool was the cleanest ray of hope but too few Couches and umbrellas. At the beach no couches, no shade and partly Befestigungsarbeiten (Betonringe were introduced) Food despite buffet not International, but mostly very spicy dishes and Büfettische dirty. Juice dispenser-Lid with mold. Desserts and rice edible. Service here tip subject. Sometimes live ... music evenings otherwise a very quiet beach vacation nothing for young the love action. read more

    The strandseitige room( with a view of the sea, as booked) we could unfortunately only on the third day after protest at our arrival relate. It compensated but for the previously experienced things (moldy plumbing field, grumpy odor in the whole room). The room was really big, had a sea terrace with a lovely view, 20 meters from the Indian ocean away. The air conditioning worked well, also the fridge! And television, we need on vacation anyway never! A Safety deposit box at the front desk we had rented, this is very convenient and is not for relation, if a for example only travel documents get lost. We never lost something. Completely on the contrary! We had a whole day our jackets in ofenen the hotel lobby forget... These were in the storage area and US the next day immediately vomit.

As in a other Haus cooked and the kitchen 300 meters far away is, it is in the nature, that some not so hot.     friendly and nice staff. That you about tip (also here) is normal. This is a sign of satisfaction a guest. we have also several Wishes without tip fulfilled get. Motto: it echoed as from forest, as you yourself! We stayed with the complete staff thoroughly satisfied. Whether Wake-up service, towels, or a packed lunches for excursions, it has always everything worked.

    For our needs, the pool was adequate, was already early in the morning, daily cleaned. Also Couches, umbrellas and beach towels it was enough given. Also showers were sufficiently! The beach is a absolute highlight and this was for our booking central. Kilometer-Long hiking in fine sandy bays without club feeling with fence or guarding. The Indian ocean is not so quiet we quickly noticed. The unawatuna bay is not so far, here you could get with a Tuk-Tuk in 10 minutes back. Here are many, partly small hotel and guest houses settled, where you also shade and beach chairs right next to the sea for a few cents could rent.

    the location of the hotel is great, the arrival from the airport takes there one gladly in purchase. It is certainly a hotel for relaxing. Possibilities for excursions has numerous. From beach boys and vendors we had our peace, in Tunisia or Egypt surely worse. Friends of ours were 2 weeks before us, as we had already before our vacation contact to Sri Lanka. A emigrated Friend Bayern is for years Singhalese, so we knew from the beginning part, what to expect. It has a charming, locals and a 9-year-old son. We have the south from West to East the island we traveled and really much.

If you book this hotel, should its expectations minimise. Guests already in worse rooms bundled, as booked. Extremely high noise level( especially at night), pushy beach boys around the hour, monotonous food, mediocre guests, dirty rooms and moldy bathrooms are just some of the numerous lack. A vacation ballermann is against pure luxury and much more relaxing! read more

very shabby and dirty hotel. staff are very friendly, but completely overburdened. food was tasty, but never fully and too few. cleanliness in the restaurant impossible. 80% of the vacation guests warren Russians ( impossible). it was still at night 02:00 A. The booked room direct the ocean was only after 3 days available available. the food is mostly awfully spicy and for children and sensitive Stomachs absolutely not suitable. As a replacement was dry bread, half-board service. Prices without cause or explanation raised. The buffet is the amount of often not enough, short-there is nothing more. A desired mosquito net proved a cargo net, it was totally ripped. The second I was after two days together with a hook was passed. The service had determined that no hook in the ceiling is. Even if some, the hotel totally negative reviews not understand can, we neither had bed bugs, scorpion, queues or similar animals as all the years not previously in this hotel. The most dangerous thing we in this hotel and at the beach met, were sand fleas and mosquitoes and only if you're not careful (grins) as we. Once again we had our lieblingsbungalow the number 523. poet at the sea you can not sleep, unless at the beach, the bungalow was functional and ... clean. Of course you could 2.5 stars in Sri Lanka not with Germany comparisons. Who this nevertheless does, should better an elbow around Sri Lanka make. read more

    The beach was once one of the most beautiful the world (before the tsunami). What we very gladly like, it is not crowded (teutonic grill), you can wonderful walks.
