With about 290 rooms a rather small resort on the Riviera Maya, the very skillfully into the jungle-like vegetation was integrated. The paths are therefore mostly shaded and you always something to see (animals, plants, small waterways). Because of the construction there is only one main path, and then the time 'boring', if it was as disadvantage want to consider. The advantage however evenly, everything is within the complex even distance, is not on shuttle and also outside the door is you in a stone's throw away with the collectivo. The guest structure was very mixed, but it is next ... to a large proportion of americans also lots of italians, the veraclubs owed. On the complex and on the rooms there is free wi-fi, as well as a computer corner with 2 computers for pay internet (30 minutes 4 Dollar). read more

    Very big, spacious, 2 super large beds, mattresses-was sunday Tv-dw. Coffee maker, safe and mini bar well. Content mionibar -well - but at least daily 2 Corona with have achieved. Bathroom was big and alright small soaps, shower gels, flannel amongst others ones. We had a top room, but nevertheless the laundry was in the closet (i have always left open ) at the end pretty damp and musty. One must at home everything-even ungetragenes -even washed! Bags musty-everything fresh air. In the lower rooms or extreme are?

    There was a buffet in the entrance area. This was on 'smart and plush' made, unfortunately in the construction, so you don't sit outside could. As here also the breakfast buffet was, you could not in the open breakfast, which i had very much regretted and not nice thought. Alternatively there was at the pool bar from 08:00 a. m. Continental Breakfast, which we at least 3 have done. Here, coffee, toast, jam, fruit, yogurt,. (unfortunately only the, no tip cheese, no crumbs butter, no egg, no muesli or similar) but it didn't matter, but if one sat almost at the beach. The speziaöiotätenrestaurants are recommendable. Also here it is the only, where you the possibility has, times in the evening to sit outside. Very nice was the tapas bar in the stylish chic directly in beleucheteten forest. Or close to the beach the asian variant (lunch pizza snack bar). The buffet in the main restaurant was however also very tasty and varied. But if you meters long buffets is used, is disappointed, everything is small and beautiful decor. At any time of the day you will be led to the square. If you are expecting more than a 2. or 4. table needs, it can sometimes be difficult to the rush hours. But you get quickly, as what happens. Tips are gladly taken and improve the bedienungsgewschwindigkeit. But why do we resent. I was surprised by the mso loo-bar, so the vitamin bar at the beach. It was from the guests very accepted and also we were during the day regular guests. Delicious drinks. My favorite was sac working rose-and of my husband - Tulum - bright green.

    The welcoming at the reception, as well as all other contacts the exceedingly friendly, welcoming and always on customer-oriented solution. We have at the check-in a room upstairs asked, we immediately implemented. We have not only our wunschblock 5 or 6 get, but also the top floor. Here we had a nice view about the jungle, has fresh air and light in the room/balcony and still visit various animals on the treetops observed! The room was cleaned thoroughly to good. We had every day another lovingly gefaltetes towel to welcome on the bed. 24 hours-room service was possible, we didn't use it, since we didn't place on the room were constrained, but it may well happen... The selection was plentiful.

    The pool with its beautiful beach chairs for us was usually only 2 or 3 times we were in it, the water was clean, in the afternoon, not cool! The loungers are very close together and close to the pool ordered. At the beach one felt as, although all cramped together was, not in such a way observed and still somewhat private. Unfortunately, there was while we were there very much wind and waves. Baden in the sea was only in the waves is possible. The wind was nachmmittags very uncomfortable. Pool was occupied. Sometimes we then already on the balcony fled. There was a hammock, and it was windless. Entertainment night in the theatre we once half seen, is not our thing.     The hotel is located in the pampa to the highway. On foot goes nothing at all. With the collectivo is 20-30 minutes in Playa del Carmen (30 Peso per pers and way) or in 10 minutes in akumal (over a bridge + 10 minutes on foot) the turtle beach (for 20 Peso per pers/way) The location at the beach is ideal, as right from the rooms from easy to reach. The bay itself is only by the guests of the royal Tulum and some private cabins/apartments visited, so you had space for hiking. However one saw during the beach strolls also rather many neglected land/ruins, the idyllic picture then unfortunately they bedin. The beach section of the crt is a proverbial tin of sardines. But the dear probably the italian guests...

This hotel should one book, if you like activities. For those seeking peace is this hotel not recommendable without limitations. We stayed in this hotel with the food, the service, the cleanliness, the location and the room very satisfied. Also the beach is wonderful. For us personally but it was the noise nuisance by the entertainment and the very lautsprechenden italians, the time in groups to high. The reservation of the chairs from 6:30 a. m. in the morning went on the nerves. At our time was the hotel also written off, so that you at the beach really ... very close together and it by the pool from 9 hours no more free beach chairs there. Those who oppose entertainment has no objection, is here surely more than in good hands. read more

    The rooms were spacious and clean. Depending on, where the room is, can the noise from entertainment events come. We had a room close to the pool and freitagsabends finds the pool party till about 1 hours at night. Sleep with ear plugs was still difficult.

    This area we rate not so good, as we the entertainment rather on the nerves went. Constantly music, any announcement of the entertainers or a activity, the was evident. We are rather the peace loving and thus gladly to do without on entertainment. For us it was no soft animation more. Sleep on the couch at the beach or by the pool was not possible. The hotel while we were there booked and so was the find a matching liege by the pool very hard. The reserve of the chairs in the morning from 06:30 a. m. (!) Was already very annoying. The pool even, the beach and the fitness center are very nice.

    The hotel is for excursions conveniently located. With the collectivo (mini-van, between Playa del camen and Tulum commutes) one comes fast and very cheap to Playa del camen for shopping, to the cenotes azur, el jardin de eden and kristallino and to Tulum. On foot however, there is nothing within walking distance From the airport we have 1,5 hours to the hotel need

Very beautiful hotel, wonderful clean beach without stones, natural, very good food (no stomach problems or anything like that ), staff very friendly and helpful, whole hotel area was very neat, beach and trails are daily maintained, the only hotel at the beach, for those in search of peace to recommend. No children. There were very many excursions were offered, price-performance ratio alright, animation and entertainment during the day and in the evening, something for everyone (Zumba, darts, Volleyball amongst others). Hotel facilities are all monitored and during the day even the beach from the security guards controlled. Would definitely ... recommend this hotel. read more

The all-inclusive - hotel lies at a quite calm beach between Playa del Carmen and Tulum (each around 20 to 25 kilometer away). With 288 rooms the hotel at the Riviera Maya the smaller hotels. For nature lovers is the hotel because of its embedded in the jungle, and of the many animals (coatis, ingutis, lizards and lots of birds) recommendable. As already described several times, were quite many young italians, the us but, despite its somewhat lively temperaments absolutely didn't bother us. In the entire property is free wi-fi available. The use computers in of the lobby cost 54 ... mxp (3,38 Euro) per half hour. read more

    From previous reviews we knew, that the rooms on the ground floor because of the close vegetation a bit dark. As we before by e-mail requested, we got a quiet room in the 1st floor. The houses near the theater (number 1000 to 2000) are rather something for night owls. The rooms are in good condition and with all the necessary Equipped. Positive we felt, that except a air conditioning a fan, and a door with screens was available, because of this we could the pleasant to cool nighttime temperatures sleep with the balcony doors open.

    Generally all meals placed. There was sometimes too short waiting times at the inlet. The tapas bar is quite atmospheric, but the low chairs and tables not so quite comfortable. Very nice was also the open restaurant at the beach, in the noon the buffet and which evening grill restaurant serves. Unfortunately, it was to our travel time in january there often very cool and windy. As already often described, one can in the evening in 4 restaurants à la carte and buffet food. The air conditioning was in some days after our experience in the restaurant was a bit too cold. Overall, we were with the gastronomic offer very satisfied.

    By the entertainment was in the pool area sometimes a considerable noise level available. The volume should in my opinion a bit less. Especially the daily loud message the unspeakable bingo-figures in several languages, but annoying. The loungers at the beach and pool were in good condition. Positive: during our stay were the loungers by the pool additionally cushions. The defective umbrellas from palm leaves by the pool are currently being renewed. The next time we go there are sure to no hotel with entertainment.

    The hotel area was relatively narrow and long stretched. The distance from the beach/lobby about 550 meters, wide at the beach about 100 metres. This humble width at the beach are the loungers at the beach but quite narrow. Only good, that the italians the blazing sun directly at the beach bearable. Medium sized hotel. Very nice designed with a dschungelpfad from the open lobby to to the beach (about 500 metres). The rooms are a little old fashioned furnished, but optically and technically in perfect condition. Minibar, fan and air-conditioning worked perfectly and relatively quietly. Entire hotel is in a very good state and clean. As this is a 'adults only' hotel is, it was fairly quiet with a high level. read more

    The rooms are in very good condition. I had a superior in 1st floor in block 1000. The jungle is enough to the floor, so that a view does not exist. Only in 2. floor have a view. Contrary to some other reviews i can a musty odor or humidity in the room not confirm. The furnishing is at a technically good condition. Silent minibar and air conditioning. Almost not to hörender fan. Tv and coffee maker. Rooms are relatively large, also the bathroom with large shower is perfect. If the rooms still somewhat modern furnished if, instead of the quite old (but intact furniture), i would all stars.

    Nothing to criticize. Very balanced food from all cultures something for everyone. A nice cosy open tapas bar was my favorite. Otherwise there were italians, steakhouse and general restaurant. (of course, all all-inclusive). The lobby bar and the beach bar with really very good alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails. Also at the beach you will regularly served.

    First to the beach: there is enough space and beach chairs (even if some thought this at 7 am. to reserve). There were enough shady spots under palm trees and jacuzzi tubs with a view to the sea. Fantastic. The beach was located in a bay, around 2 to 3 kilometer long beach. Since only this hotel, a smaller a few hundred meters north and another ' wochenenddanlage ' for locals further south on the beach are, it is very quiet and is especially in the mornings to extensive beach strolls or jogging. The pool is a bit small, but nevertheless large enough to the a few trains turn. A discreet and unobtrusive entertainment is also available. (Volleyball, darts, soccer, water aerobics, stretching).

    Hotel has directly at the beach. One goes about from of the lobby from around 5 to 10 minutes, depending on, whether one has that from coatis and leguanen stopped or not ☺ in the hotel there is a disco and a theatre where in my 14 days every time something else listed. In immediate proximity is nothing of activities possible. Next objective would be Playa del Carmen. About 15-20 minutes with the collectivo. Transfer from the airport circa 1,5 hours. The location was perfect for me, even if in the more immediate vicinity nothing is. Therefore full stars.

    The service is excellent. The employees, from the cleaners to the bartenders were extremely friendly and helpful. All they always have a smile on the lips. The foreign language skills were very good.

    The beach is beautiful and has a really great fine sand. What annoying is, the already in the morning at 7 a. m. the loungers with towels reserved and most people then around 12 hours arise. On the other hand should the management do something the entertainment is decent and there is nobody to participate forced. The disco is nice but unfortunately little visits!

This was an absolute amazing dream holiday!!!! there is absolutely nothing which was not 100%. Everybody was super friendly, professional and made sure that it became an unforgettable holiday!!! Beach was just one minute from the pool, the lunch restaurant just above the beach where you could enjoy the view of the amazing turquoise/blue cristal clear water!! you could walk 1.5 km to the left and 1.5 km to the right and there was almost nobody! the food was excellent and regardeless in which of the 5 restaurants you went for dinner, it was just delicious!!! I cleaness ... of the hotel is remarkable. they were cleaning the rooms twice a day and every day you could get a fresh beach towel. the hotel is not as big as other hotels around but this makes it cosy!! it is very easy to get to playa del carmen, in case you would like to go for drinks or shopping tour in the eve. there are collection taxis passing outside the hotel every 5 minutes for only 30 pesos per person. perfect! we can recommend this hotel to 100% and will definetely come here again!! thanks to everyone who made our holidays unforgettable!! read more

After long consider we opted for the Catalunya Royal Tulum for our vacation decided amongst others because of the many good reviews. Unfortunately we were on our expectations disappointed. More about that in the various paragraphs. The hotel is beautifully located and by a dschulgelpfad connected to the beach. Everywhere iguanas and coatis, really great. The buildings were nicely decorated and the caribbean flair. Only the lobby bar had the charm of a berlin industrialized building out and as avoided. The texts here reflect really only our opinion again. Other visitors here it very well in the hotel pleased. Unfortunately ... we cannot us this opinion not endorse. In january 2012 we were in paradiso Rio de oro to Cuba and this hotel as a reference for our rating here taken. read more

    Our room was on the 1st floor of the ' blocks' right next to of the lobby. The room was large and beautiful designed. No mold, no dirt, absolutely great. If you are early to bed is, then you should another room. The noise through the nearby theaters with the evening entertainment is also when the window was closed significantly, which didn't bother us. The noise the middle highway is to be heard, but we had the window closed during the night, without climate we anyway became too warm. So you have the cars not heard. We liked it.

    Well, the gastronomy. We would have at the start our trip we thought, that we are only one star rating would, but it was exactly the food, for us the vacation a bit spoiled. We understand with the best will not, as the majority here the food taste could. We are really no gourmets and also with simple kitchen not a problem. The selection of the restaurant is big (5 including 1 buffet), which but nevertheless at the quality the food nothing changes. - breakfast : was okay, more or less always the same, but it tasted good. - lunch : in buffet form in the vicinity of the pool or at the snack bar (pizza, sandwiches, etc.). Once a week they grilled. Buffet restaurant was more bad than good. Often it has not taste us. Pizza was not great. - the tapaslounge and the steakhouse were the best. Buffet one could forget, was always the same, the other restaurants were not really good, the food simply does not delicious. We also had some strong stomach cramps and diarrhea. We declined since on fresh salad. After a few days we met other german holidays with stomach problems had to do. For comparison: we were a time on vacation in the eco-park 'Xel-Ha', what an all-inclusive offer. The food there was phenomenal. Lots of dishes that we in the hotel bad found, there were great and we noticed for the first time as well mexican cuisine can be.

    Service was very good. The rooms were always clean and tidy. Sometimes, here and there a few towels forget, but with some tip was the service then again better. On our arrival at the hotel we were not welcomed (we were usually). At the front desk we had to at the attention the lady fight, since this constantly on the phone. A few days later was then another lady locally, the very good german spoken and very pleasant was. By the pool were the cocktails served in plastic cups, which all on edge very 'chewed' were. Not very appetizing. A straw was sometimes left unattended, with the reference, that a 'Cuba Libre' no stalk is spent. We did this then always directly at the bar in/out privileges and partly at the clearing saved. Why from you the guests simple requests after a straw? What is just not at all. The room service (dinner to the room), i had to partly repeatedly call so that we could get to eat.

    The entertainment team consisted of about 8 people which five were italians, one german, and two mexican. The entertainment by the pool was always the same, water aerobics, horseshoes, bingo, dancing and end. Since we didn't friends of entertainment are, we exactly for the discreet entertainment. Well, so decent but it was not. The entertainment was relatively constant very noisy, so we don't much peace by the pool had. If you get an afternoon wanted peace, this could hardly find peace. If not the entertainment disturbed by it, was the ' inhabitants of little Italy' (borrow name of the lots of people by the pool from Italy) busy loudly to converse, so between the animationspausen also no peace. We have in the meantime even better a few children in the hotel seen, since they probably quieter would have been. The pool alone was very large and nice. Unfortunately no pool bar the longer had been invited. Also annoying : by the pool there is a side the sun until the evening. There is visitor the reserve themselves your pool chair in the morning to in the evening there one hour to sunbathe. The rest of the time it is however rather at the beach. A disgusting behaviour, especially if you want to get a chair searches, since by the pool from lunch often nothing more was to be found.     After long consider we opted for the Catalunya Royal Tulum for our vacation decided amongst others because of the many good reviews. Unfortunately we were on our expectations disappointed. More about that in the various paragraphs. The hotel is beautifully located and by a dschulgelpfad connected to the beach. Everywhere iguanas and coatis, really great. The buildings were nicely decorated and the caribbean flair. Only the lobby bar had the charm of a berlin industrialized building out and as avoided. The texts here reflect really only our opinion again. Other visitors here it very well in the hotel pleased. Unfortunately we cannot us this opinion not endorse. In january 2012 we were in paradiso Rio de oro to Cuba and this hotel as a reference for our rating here taken.

    The area is beautifully, no major hotels in the area and a long beach. The beach section in front of the hotel was often crowded. To into the water was we frequently snaking run (there were beach chairs with visitors). Till about at 11 but it was unbearable, so we were only always starting from then to the pool withdrew. The sand is beautifully fine and the entrance into the water also very pleasant. Unfortunately, we had always the yellow or red flag, but thats at the sea if the wind blows. Fun we had nevertheless in the water ☺ Car rental is recommendable (wrangler Jeep 150,00 American Dollar) and thus one can make much on own fist. For the visits in Tulum and Playa del Carmen we use the colectivios the conveniently situated between the cities of commute. In Playa del Carmen as on a turkish bazaar. Shopping is not very simple, there one constantly angequatscht and nearly in the shops is drawn up.

We had dreamlike 14 days. There was nothing, which didn't bother, the disposition of the italian guests held itself within limits. The beach is the absolute dream beach. Loungers at pool and beach you got at any time of the day. The friendliness of all of the staff is hardly words, absolutely cordial, and i had the impression, without tip to speculate. Wi-fi works in the entire hotel area very good, and is in the price included (in case for someone is important). For 0,99 Dollar per minute, from the room abroad phone. Everything else was actually already in ... the previous reviews. The fact is, if you are looking for a quiet relaxing beach vacation would, without much action around, the is in this hotel in good hands. We were for christmas/ new year's eve there! The hotel we have because of the great reviews here lined up. And exactly great we also found. We are both not picky and the hotel complex was for us a dream. The many animals, the watch was on the way to the beach or lobby. This was always swept and kept clean. In the lobby we spend almost every evening. The animation is only for italian tourist laid out, which we knew however. So we sat sometimes after eating hour with various cocktails (the all delicious were), chatting (also with other ... vacations) and observed the action. There was but also individual evenings, where we would like to again a bit of entertainment would have had. We find, for the food there are nothing at all to complain about. So wide choice. You can à la carte restaurant nice or but also the la Selva (self-service) go. The mexican we have only very late discovered (lobby-bar on the left hand side). We have also unfortunately first on the final day experienced, that a chinese there, but not every weekday on (snack bar by the pool - next to cocktail bar). For christmas and new year's there was a matching buffet, what amazing was. To new year's eve you had to but about 1 hour wait (grillhouse), as everything on the pool area concentrated. But what is it \u263a A trip with the collectivo to Playa del Carmen you just have to make. That was a experience worth it. From Playa del Carmen itself we were intrigued. So much shopping -possibilities, so much colorful, so much grims grams, so much restaurants. But we have never eaten. And if you have to the toilet must, can you unfortunately all without a food or beverage not purely (we could luckily a young waiter persuade). Our room was super (standard)! At the top. Nice and big, nicely furnished and always super clean. There were slippers, bathrobes, an umbrella, iron and ironing board and iron, always fresh flannel, shower gel, shampoo, body lotion (small containers). Every day the towels were changed (also beach towels), clean and bed newly renovated. With the towel-figures so lovingly presented are. The room staff we have a day Dollar compensate., for this service. Also we would have liked to every employees something! We found it good, how much trouble all and no matter how late it was, all were always really friendly. Excursions: Chichen itza sunrise-you can get very early, which is better, because much warm. Afterwards one drives in a cenote. Unfortunately make the probably all tour operator so and so we could not at all to the 'edge' penetrate, buzzing with people. Also a place for the food to find, was difficult and a lot of time we had not. Isla Mujeres/ isla contoy: the speed designed very funny. A flop was the snorkeling. Then on the parking on an other small bus wait. We had a sandwich eaten, which afterwards very good turned out. Rio secreto is also a must. The underground höhlensystem invites you to admire and fantasize a. We were thrilled! Afterwards there was 16 hours finally something to eat (and we would all be previously almost weazy) Note: please take, during each trip drinks from the mini bar with! Tried also early breakfast, provided there is a little (lobby-bar gives it small dounats and cakes). There is not always something to drink or to eat on the excursions and but so late, that you can't endure. Organisationstalente what a regards are the unfortunately not! We were at the end of november until mid december in catalunya royal Tulum. The hotel has our expectations more than satisfied. On arrival, you very friendly at the front desk with a small cocktail and a small wet towel for hands clean welcomes. Any staff were always very accommodating, attentive and unbelievably friendly. You will in all restaurants a great service. The room was brilliant large (normal double room), very large bathroom with a big shower. We had additionally a hammock on the balcony! Fantastic! The mini bar daily with soft drinks, water and peanuts filled. The beach hand ... towels from the room picked up and replaced. The food was very big, four à-la-carte restaurants of which we the grill restaurant and the italian restaurant is particularly praise. You could eat lunch in the beach restaurant buffet food or at the pool bar snacks. Everything tasted very good and the cocktails also have when i checked out. Very delicious and on the whole there is a huge selection of drinks. This we had in any hotel sunday The animation is good but decent, very pleasant. The beach is wonderful, turquoise water and white fine sand. To the beach only two hotels included catalunya royal Tulum. Couches get one at all times. The complete vacation was fantastic, Mexico is a great country and the hotel we would to 100% recommendable. The people a bad write are only talking about rubbish. We will definitely return. read more

We are as a couple now the 3. time and also immen other pleasure this hotel recommendations and gone. The hotel complex is still very nice and the beach is as always a dream. The staff are as always unbelievably nice and polite. However the quality of the dishes but gradually deteriorated. The menu in the grill restaurant is now 4-years-old and there was no change to see. The hotel lies at a great beach, the rooms are very clean and the food - by five different restaurants-varied. Beach chairs there was always enough by the pool like also at the beach. The employee of the hotel were very friendly and accommodating. In the evening at the bar at the front desk and also at the pool bar was from about 10:00 p. m.'t a lot going on. The food in the various theme restaurants was very good. Unfortunately was the dinner in the buffet restaurant a catastrophe: food was cold, no decent selection. For breakfast was the buffet restaurant reasonable. There were some days no butter, just margarine. Although there is a instruction in the restaurant on sparkling wine for breakfast gave, this was on several days not available. All other restaurants and bars were very good. Apart from that the hotel can be absolutely recommend. Nice hotel with a great beach and sea as enough chairs. On the beach, there was also hammocks and beanbags. The ... rooms on the ground floor are very dark, since the jungle directly in front of of the terrace starts. Best 1st or 2. floor. read more
