Were now in marches 2013 for the 2. time in this hotel (last time in novemeber 2012). Since now in march the hotel almost was fully booked (in comparison to november) was already in the morning at 5:45 o'clock (!) The ' reservierungswahn' on the pool- and sun lounger los. There you had to unfortunately part, as it at 8:00 o'clock already no chairs more-the us this time already very much disturbed. A few additionally sonnenhütchenm to the beach and at the pool and again 50 would the problem eliminate. It is the lobby bar very, very uncomfortable ... and noisy. Since we 5. there were we had at the restaurants up to 40 minutes to wait for a table. Lunch at the buffet it could then also times 30 minutes-just 20% too much guests for the entire infrastructure. Wi-fi included. Works to the beach. Adults only hotel, mostly italian. Medium average age. All inclusive.
Buildings belong painted, everything seemed somewhat verloddert.
Guestrooms are in the jungle, no direct sea situation.

We stayed at crt felt good. There was mixed clientele. Although yes but everyone was so its quirks has, is no group directly negative. The 'reserve' is just in the pool area (there wind and longer sonnenstellen ) extremely: already 07:15 a. m. no more couch!. At the beach it was during our travels from in the morning already unpleasant windy, so there were also partially throughout the day are to receive. But good were also early occupied. The bay is nice for walks, sometimes one is nearly alone. The seashore to the hotel the a catastrophe, if you ... Karibik holiday presents. Not only uncomfortable, narrow struggled beach chairs, also the cleanliness the beach section was not royal.
The restaurants you can all be recommended. Took some getting used to, we found the placement at any time of the day, but with the time you this as preference i guess. It flexes the rumsuchen between the tables in full restaurants. It was nice, that there is no reserve the specialty restaurants there. You can use daily, as far as space. But we had never problems.
The entertainment did not bother us, at the beach you'll get little with, by the pool it was however also not so bad. I just don't know, why the both in an adults-only royal ambience accommodate must?
At the start we found the entire Areal a little cramped, but for instance the short, not pretentious way from the street the entrance was for the use of the collective than ideal! You are quickly everywhere within the complex and fast on the doorstep- our summary after examination of the complex gran bahia-this mammoth facilities for us will not be into question.
The standard rooms i found very big and enough. Who gladly laundry/gear on the balcony dries, should a small line bring their own. We were for the 2. time in catalunya bs. The quality is still very good. The already often mentioned problem with the chairs is in our opinion not the number, but the mehrfachreservierung at various locations through the same people. Normal and fair would be a hotelbadetuch per pool chair/person and not further couches with books, hats, shoes or t-shirts etc. To reserve. If one assumes that always some guests on excursions are, would be the number of sufficient. In the current situation, at 7:00 its couch were reserved. Thus nothing also out-sleep on vacation! The hotel is nice in a small forest with a lot of animals integrated. Rooms are large, but depending on the location in the lower floors dark and due to the large humidity musty. The furniture was very spartan. Loosened the with the cute animals, the the staff every day lovingly decorated with towels on the bed cleaned. The quality of the meals was good, but quite monotonuous. What we have never in a hotel in this extent experienced, is the reserve of the chairs. Already at 6 o'clock morning all loungers by the pool and partly at the beach ... reserved with towels. With a full occupancy with 600 people there are especially with strong wind by the pool far from enough chairs. We hope, that the management as something considered. The entertainment the italian Vera club performed, there was constant and noise program. We will the next time pay more and a small complex with more comforts. read more

With about 290 rooms a rather small resort on the Riviera Maya, the very skillfully into the jungle-like vegetation was integrated. The paths are therefore mostly shaded and you always something to see (animals, plants, small waterways). Because of the construction there is only one main path, and then the time 'boring', if it was as disadvantage want to consider. The advantage however evenly, everything is within the complex even distance, is not on shuttle and also outside the door is you in a stone's throw away with the collectivo.

This hotel should one book, if you like activities. For those seeking peace is this hotel not recommendable without limitations.
We stayed in this hotel with the food, the service, the cleanliness, the location and the room very satisfied. Also the beach is wonderful.
For us personally but it was the noise nuisance by the entertainment and the very lautsprechenden italians, the time in groups to high. The reservation of the chairs from 6:30 a. m. in the morning went on the nerves.
At our time was the hotel also written off, so that you at the beach really ... very close together and it by the pool from 9 hours no more free beach chairs there.
Those who oppose entertainment has no objection, is here surely more than in good hands. read more

Very beautiful hotel, wonderful clean beach without stones, natural, very good food (no stomach problems or anything like that ), staff very friendly and helpful, whole hotel area was very neat, beach and trails are daily maintained, the only hotel at the beach, for those in search of peace to recommend. No children. There were very many excursions were offered, price-performance ratio alright, animation and entertainment during the day and in the evening, something for everyone (Zumba, darts, Volleyball amongst others). Hotel facilities are all monitored and during the day even the beach from the security guards controlled. Would definitely ... recommend this hotel. read more

We were 2 weeks in february 2013 in this hotel. It was our 7 tes hotel in Yucatan. The service was excellent. For the food i can only a satisfactory give. You always find something, but with a price of over 2,500, -€ we have eaten much better. Brilliant the longdrinks like for instance the Daiquiri. If you've ever been on Cuba a drink, that the tears come. For us that was the first Daiquiri the 100% after ahoi-soda tasted. Also buffet in the evening is an experience. An atmosphere like in the clinic and the existing food was ... like in a nursing home shortly before the first. The beach area is rather small and relatively close to other guests. The rooms, we had in the block 6 on the top floor a de Lux suite, were spacious with beautiful, big balcony with hammock, always full minibar (requests were taken into account) tv, iron, coffee maker and a beautiful bathroom with large shower. The rooms were at 11:00 clock cleaned. In the evening fresh towels and, if you dinner was, were again the beds made. The deficiencies in the food and the drinks were by the really very good and always friendly service again poured out. The whole complex is in a very good state. There is exotic animals as coatis and small capybaras. The audience was international and pleasant. There were no american or canadian combat drunkards as we unfortunately in other hotels experienced. All in all we liked it and we can recommend the hotel. read more

The all-inclusive - hotel lies at a quite calm beach between Playa del Carmen and Tulum (each around 20 to 25 kilometer away). With 288 rooms the hotel at the Riviera Maya the smaller hotels. For nature lovers is the hotel because of its embedded in the jungle, and of the many animals (coatis, ingutis, lizards and lots of birds) recommendable. As already described several times, were quite many young italians, the us but, despite its somewhat lively temperaments absolutely didn't bother us. In the entire property is free wi-fi available. The use computers in of the lobby cost 54 ... mxp (3,38 Euro) per half hour. read more

Medium sized hotel. Very nice designed with a dschungelpfad from the open lobby to to the beach (about 500 metres). The rooms are a little old fashioned furnished, but optically and technically in perfect condition. Minibar, fan and air-conditioning worked perfectly and relatively quietly. Entire hotel is in a very good state and clean. As this is a 'adults only' hotel is, it was fairly quiet with a high level. read more

This was an absolute amazing dream holiday!!!! there is absolutely nothing which was not 100%. Everybody was super friendly, professional and made sure that it became an unforgettable holiday!!!
Beach was just one minute from the pool, the lunch restaurant just above the beach where you could enjoy the view of the amazing turquoise/blue cristal clear water!! you could walk 1.5 km to the left and 1.5 km to the right and there was almost nobody! the food was excellent and regardeless in which of the 5 restaurants you went for dinner, it was just delicious!!!
I cleaness ... of the hotel is remarkable. they were cleaning the rooms twice a day and every day you could get a fresh beach towel. the hotel is not as big as other hotels around but this makes it cosy!!
it is very easy to get to playa del carmen, in case you would like to go for drinks or shopping tour in the eve. there are collection taxis passing outside the hotel every 5 minutes for only 30 pesos per person. perfect!
we can recommend this hotel to 100% and will definetely come here again!!

After long consider we opted for the Catalunya Royal Tulum for our vacation decided amongst others because of the many good reviews. Unfortunately we were on our expectations disappointed. More about that in the various paragraphs.
The hotel is beautifully located and by a dschulgelpfad connected to the beach. Everywhere iguanas and coatis, really great. The buildings were nicely decorated and the caribbean flair. Only the lobby bar had the charm of a berlin industrialized building out and as avoided.
The texts here reflect really only our opinion again. Other visitors here it very well in the hotel pleased. Unfortunately ... we cannot us this opinion not endorse. In january 2012 we were in paradiso Rio de oro to Cuba and this hotel as a reference for our rating here taken. read more

We were for christmas/ new year's eve there! The hotel we have because of the great reviews here lined up. And exactly great we also found. We are both not picky and the hotel complex was for us a dream. The many animals, the watch was on the way to the beach or lobby. This was always swept and kept clean. In the lobby we spend almost every evening. The animation is only for italian tourist laid out, which we knew however. So we sat sometimes after eating hour with various cocktails (the all delicious were), chatting (also with other ... vacations) and observed the action. There was but also individual evenings, where we would like to again a bit of entertainment would have had.
We find, for the food there are nothing at all to complain about. So wide choice. You can à la carte restaurant nice or but also the la Selva (self-service) go. The mexican we have only very late discovered (lobby-bar on the left hand side). We have also unfortunately first on the final day experienced, that a chinese there, but not every weekday on (snack bar by the pool - next to cocktail bar). For christmas and new year's there was a matching buffet, what amazing was. To new year's eve you had to but about 1 hour wait (grillhouse), as everything on the pool area concentrated. A trip with the collectivo to Playa del Carmen you just have to make. That was a experience worth it. From Playa del Carmen itself we were intrigued. So much shopping -possibilities, so much colorful, so much grims grams, so much restaurants. But we have never eaten. And if you have to the toilet must, can you unfortunately all without a food or beverage not purely (we could luckily a young waiter persuade).
Our room was super (standard)! At the top. Nice and big, nicely furnished and always super clean. There were slippers, bathrobes, an umbrella, iron and ironing board and iron, always fresh flannel, shower gel, shampoo, body lotion (small containers). Every day the towels were changed (also beach towels), clean and bed newly renovated. With the towel-figures so lovingly presented are. The room staff we have a day Dollar compensate., for this service. Also we would have liked to every employees something! We found it good, how much trouble all and no matter how late it was, all were always really friendly.
Excursions:
Chichen itza sunrise-you can get very early, which is better, because much warm. Afterwards one drives in a cenote. Unfortunately make the probably all tour operator so and so we could not at all to the 'edge' penetrate, buzzing with people. Also a place for the food to find, was difficult and a lot of time we had not.
Isla Mujeres/ isla contoy: the speed designed very funny. A flop was the snorkeling. A lot of you have not seen (in 2. largest reef the world). Telfair, that it is not in the reef took place. On contoy we had a lot of mosquitoes (and nobody something with) 'help'. There, there are then lunch.
Stay on mujeres was unfortunately only 1 hour-if you don't to the center (market) with me. You loan a golf cart (travel guide consequences of ablegeplatz way, first street - opposite circa 12 Euro per hour) and drove towards south (other way round, as golf cart is available) once around the island without stopover. One creates that in a good hour, the whole island and it makes a lot of fun!
Note: this tour is constantly for beverage catered for. Food only the lunch (but adequate).
One drives from the hotel for a very long time up to the dock of the speedbootes (2-3 h) and collects on the way all other on.
Tulum - Rio secreto in Tulum (despite on the coast) is it very hot and interesting. We were then in groups divided. A further to coba, the other to Rio secreto. Then on the parking on an other small bus wait. We had a sandwich eaten, which afterwards very good turned out. Rio secreto is also a must. The underground höhlensystem invites you to admire and fantasize a. We were thrilled! Afterwards there was 16 hours finally something to eat (and we would all be previously almost weazy)
Note: please take, during each trip drinks from the mini bar with! Tried also early breakfast, provided there is a little (lobby-bar gives it small dounats and cakes).
There is not always something to drink or to eat on the excursions and but so late, that you can't endure.
