We were for the 2. time over new year in the diamond-hotel and we really liked it once again. Highlights include the friendly staff -without exceptions -, the food and quality of the courses, and the general state of the hotel and the location. The rooms, we had room 531, could have been a bit Bigger but they are good and sufficient furnished. Everything, what you from a hotel expected, finds One before. Also here absolutely cleanliness and friendliness the room service. Highlight is of course The new year's eve with a great buffet and very nice decorated tables and ... hall. Fireworks, live Music-everything you such evening, was available. One small downside: the hotel has very many Athletes as a guest -mostly young people. These are to friday the 28. in the house and ensure a Appropriate noise level in the hall and in the indoor pool. On 27. was still a very loud Disco music, but on the rooms not to be heard. read more

The valarmar diamond is a high rise building with 10 floors and about 240 rooms. From the outside it looks very confusing, the rooms are on all 4 sides of the hotel distributed. Inside strengthens this impression; also by the attached sports ( fitness room, gymnasium) and the wellness area. The public area ( places to sit in the lobby, toilets) is at closer inspection not clean. Especially the condition the toilets is from lunch not acceptable. We booked half board, that means in the morning a breakfast buffet and evenings also buffet. During our stay were many modern all ... ages available; German, English, russians, austrian, Italian. Families with children all ages, younger couple and seniors: so everything very mixed. There was also always at least a sports team in the training camp present- basektballer, volleyballerinnen ( Russian teams). You'll but only whilst eating seen or in the lobby ( because of the internet). read more

    The room was big enough - only the bathroom was too small. Unfortunately we had no double bed, but two singles pushed together single beds with very broad holzkante in the middle. This was very uncomfortable. The cleanliness was not reasonable - see above In orddung were safe and a tv and the air conditioning - this was silent and cooled perfectly, without the luftström somehow didn't bother. The size of the closet was also reasonable, but unfortunately you could the room not very good focus. There was no overhead light or similar, so that I had a flashlight in the closet put, to recognize, which clothing I search... The bathroom is a small, without window and ventilation. Since the heating pipes unplastered and a always hot, the stay was in the bathroom only with opened door possible-this is actually a undue condition for a four-star hotel. Furthermore were on the ceiling with the shower mold, the bathroom door down at the edge was totally warping (water damage?) and not washed lines dirty and unappealing. Very really bother us, also the blue glasfärbung the windows. With closed balcony door ( and only then, in the air conditioning) we have no normal natural light in the room, since the pieces of blue- gaukelt with the view to outside also always a bit wrong impression from the weather for. The fact that we a room in the first floor forward (on the main entrance) had, we could but the balcony door also not at all open, because one then freely from the opposite parking spaces corridors can. All together we have in the room therefore not very comfortable.

    The hotel has a main -restaurant and a snack bar by the pool. The main -restaurant in the proportion very few outdoor seats; by the size we have the inside area very loud and noisy felt; it had a replication -atmosphere. Quality of the dishes was okay-it was also always adequate refilled respectively freshly prepared. However were lots of dishes tasted bland and had to be seasoned. For example there was a french dressing to salad, the watery and tasteless was or tsatsiki, the merely from liquid yoghurt with gehobelten gherkins stock. The clouded the overall impression.

    The staff were always friendly. At the front desk was speak German and in the restaurant you could in German the beverages order. The cleaning of the rooms was a four-star hotel not appropriate. In the bathroom was not the mirror cleaned, the washbasin respectively the counters. In the remaining room was vacuumed, the bed made and that was it than... When we were in the cupboard doors sticky blob, the (glass) bedside table are in the course of the week totally dusty... Window were also not cleaned - stains from my own creamy fingers remained the whole week visible.

    Animations or similar we didn't use; the music of the sea water-pools the neighboring hotels, the wasseraktionen going on, was too loud. The chairs by the pool the valamar diamant were partly. Broken and dirty- but nevertheless in the early morning with towels 'reserved'. The hotel does nothing against - even if the signs this expressly prohibited. Therefore, it is also happened, that we no chairs more got, because all occupied or reserved with towels were. The cleanliness by the pool is moderate-at several spots are old kaugummiflecken or other sticky residues. In the evening goes a member of the cleaning staff around; the loungers itself but not wiped on damages proved. The beach we didn't use; the possibilities to lie down on the rocks respectively in a pine forest not please us. Positive: in the lobby there is a large wi-fi-area, the uncomplicated worked.

    The hotel lies in the immediate area two other valamar -hotels and forms a complex. To Porec you go on foot 15 to 20 minutes ( depending on the way and speed). The beach is from the hotel maximum in 10 minutes to reach.. There are chairs and umbrellas for rent offered; however this is expensive and the loungers have no cushions. You can but also with ceiling or similar on the lawn under the pine trees are; if you like it! Outside of the hotel complex brulo there is no entertainment possibilities; everything went on the complex or then in Porec - here is the typical touristic alignment with souvenir shops and ausflugsanbietern available.

    Our room was the description accordingly. Small balcony, good beds, fridge; there on the 2nd floor convenient were the sounds of the kitchens -air ventilation very loud.

    The offered meals are rather less expensive quality. There was not even crabs or scampi at the buffet, nearly daily grilled mackerels. Unpleasant, that guests in flip-flops and a short jogging pants for dinner come, even if these athletes in the training camp are. In a four star hotel you expected that not.

    The room staff is very friendly and attentive also at the front desk. The bar -staff, particularly the waiter in the evening are inattentive. A exception was a older barmaid called nada. The candles around 23:00 collected even if still life music plays.

After 2008 and 2009 our third visit at the hotel valamar Diamant and again not disappointed! The room in the 4th floor made a renovated impression ( the bathroom not, but it was okay). Good: free access to the internet in the room ( LAN -cable and Freischaltcode at the front desk available). Bad: in anyway rather small double room a few hangers advantageous ( for example on the wall opposite the bed), so you not always all in the closet rooms must be. Food and foreign languages skills: the choice and quality of the food at the buffet was ... good, empty containers were quickly refilled. The selection of Streichkäsen ( for example Herbs - wild garlic- or other cheese) was poor. Further I found it annoying, that the descriptions of the various food only in Croatian and English, but not on German was. It was our third visit and every time were good three-quarters of the guests from Germany, Austria or Switzerland, since it would be an expression of respect, that the (often older guests) German Designations available sellt. In this context also negative: the English welcome letter in the room. Such most belated welcomes we even with vacations in Turkey on German found. Why this is not possible, I don't know, since the knowledge of German of the staff of good to very good rich; even here one noticed, that the majority of the guests from the German-speaking area come. This was the only small drawback; apart from that, have hotel and staff again a very good impression leave! read more

The blue tinted window avoid in the middle of summer certainly heat. The cleanliness was absolutely pristine. The breakfast, as well as the dinner were very fresh and varied; that evenings the dishes before all eyes gave a certain well-being feeling. We heard italians, austrians, German, English also russians. The associations and groups were not distrubing at all, were not flashy or loud. Rather a pleasant together. read more

    Our room was very spacious equipped with all comforts. The bathroom was not huge, however one had comfortable place (1 person).

    The premises we restaurant and bar/s ( swimming pool) are equipped with friendly staff very fast and hard run. The dishes by the pool before town by a chef as well as freshly zurbereiten and this really small prices. Cleanliness is ok everywhere paramount; the boss Marija in the dining room makes with their bare presence always with all staff as animation. All of this however with most friendly art. Also together is the staff very nice. Over a small grant ( tip) each employee. You have however not the feeling, that required should be.

    All of the staff were -compared to all other four star hotels we have already visited-remarkably friendly. Not fake. But as they say :' you forest in-calls, it returns back '. This can be in all situations experienced. Surprised we were, that all could speak German. Even in the smallest streets languages in the pub the people immediately in our language. Services are offered, we used however not ( doctor, laundry room) We had accidentally in the worn our safe adjusted, which immediately within 10 minutes from the very friendly caretaker regulated was. They are totally pleasant experiences.

    To the beach it is a comfortable walk; the next town, Porec in around 10 to 15 minutes on foot reachable. In aromatic pine/air a joy! We had bikes (could but also what rental) and explored in all directions the area. In the town are all superstores (such as Lidl, kaufland etc.) but also vegetables and fruit vendors are everywhere ( also on the roads) with the best quality). Required we however not, because the hotel really small price offers. Excursions over the tour operators offered.

We were very satisfied. The food was great and something for everyone. The distance to the beach was approximately 3-minute walk. Porec could be reached in a beautiful walk at the sea along within 15 minutes or one drives simply with the' small railroad', the every 20 minutes goes. Altogether a great vacation in a good hotel. read more

We have stayed in the 3. our summer vacation in the Hotel Diamant and were once again very satisfied! The check in at the front desk is perfect! Big praise the attentive, prudent Saalchefin Marija and the super friendly service - staff, special praise applies for the love Dragona! The daily breakfast - and dinner buffet are not only a feast for the eyes, but is a daily joy! We have in other hotels have never experienced something like that. In August 2012 we were for 4 nights in the hotel. Welcoming at the reception was all right, room we could with arrival to lunch also already relate. We had a room the cheapest category but a larger with sea view are. As we very late ( about 14 days before travel) booked I assume the no other more was available. Room was accordingly very reasonable. There were earlier very small room, in our case it was however two rooms the mixes were. Therefore we had also 2 bathroom each with a toilet in the bathroom. The food was very ..., very good. Evenings always buffet with 2 different pizzas, several pasta dishes, several fish dishes, grilled with fries, a vegetarian corner, a salatecke, cold appetizers and I didn't know what else. I can think of in any case not imagine that anyone was nothing good can be found. They also have a private wine specially designed for the valamar hotels on the also good to drink was (for at home I could not forward, but on vacation tasted it). To the beach it are so about 10 minutes to go. I as reasonable felt. Chairs on the beach and sun screens are subject to a charge, we just in the lawn under trees. The beach is mostly cemented, for small children there was a separate Sandstrandnische but always very with seaweeds was full. We stayed with our stay completely contented. read more

- room: mold, lack of covers with Überputzrohren, that means free access for vermin, beds on wheels, broken air conditioning. - food: it was lots of fresh prepared however always the same, juice = sugary water with dye ( für'was drinkable you had to extra are charged), broken toaster, muesli was easy not enjoyable ( may still matter of taste his). Who watermelons gmaw comes here fully at its expense. - with the move in a new room because of defective air conditioning there was no help although this was promised. - pool: ancient, dirty and broken aluminum beach chairs. ... Much too small pool area, with additional stentorian speaker sounds by hotel staff ( music). The too many positive reviews we are not understand. So is HolidayCheck no help in the search for a hotel. It is not a question of us, money back from the travel agent back (let us not, but it would certainly have been possible). In short: 2 to three stars maximum. read more
