Amwaj Blue Beach Resort & Spa Abu Soma^{(4.5 stars)}

Spacious room containing all the usual attributes expected for a hotel of this status, was clean and in good condition. One slight concern was lack of tea and coffee facilty in room, which could have been provided on payment of a supplement to upgrade. After taking seven annual holidays in Egypt this was the second hotel that didnt have tea/coffee in hotel rooms as standard.

There is a main restaurant which services a wide variety of international cuisine, a Fish restaurant, an Italian restaurant, a Lobby bar, a beach bar, a disco complete with bar, and probably much more, but we were happy with the beach bar and lobby bar. Food was well cooked and tasty, the drinks were perfect. Only one suggestion we could make, would be for management to provide small bottle of water per person in hotel rooms per day. We did not tip until our last day and no one gave us any less service, during our stay.

Staff throughout the complex welcomed us and spoke excellent english, we could not find any fault at all with any member of staff, reception, our room cleaning, Mahmoud at the beach, Mohammed and Mustafa at the bars, Ahmed in the restaurant, and all the other staff too numerous to mention, were welcoming, humourous, genuinely polite and caring, and took time to speak with us to ensure we were enjoying our stay. Absolutely no complaints about the service we received.

Plenty of sunbeds, pool areas clean, heated pool fantastic for a quick dip. Beach area very clean and staff very helpful. There are plenty of activities provided including animation team who are very friendly and include guests without pressure. Thanks to Tito, Momo, Sveta, Roma and team for not hassling us when we preferred to relax. Water sports and boat trips available, best soft sandy beach we have experienced in Egypt.

Very clean, all inclusive hotel, with pleasant friendly staff throughout the hotel, catering for a multi national clientele.

Located on a soft sandy beach, with access to all types of water sports, boat trips within the hotels grounds, there are a few shops including a clinic and pharmacy, excursions available including taxi/limousine and shuttle service to Hurghada if required. Slightly isolated with a one hour drive to airport.

The entertainment team consisting of nastia, sveta, roma, denys, Tito minu, Momo and dj karika is super good mood and they do their jobs very well. Greetings from passport two

The hotel is rather lonely and right of it is a construction ruins and to the left of which is not something. But the first impression is deceptive. The hotel consists of several 3 story houses and is in a good state. Clear who searches finds but should stay at home. All but also really everybody was very hard make the stay as pleasant as possible. It was with us in the room, wether everything is okay, wether the food tastes or, if something is missing. Very friendly was especially randa, a tour guide, the in the hotel works. Their german was almost perfect. There were a problem, randa has been resolved. Most of the waiters were very polite and they all have always with a smile on the lips your job. Also the people at the bars or by the pool were very pleasant and unobtrusive. The cleaning of the rooms worked perfectly. Food and beverage is good and is always abundant. Was clear the hotel not fully booked but nevertheless you had the impression everyone his work seriously. Internet access against an extra charge but still cheap. In the hotel were 60% russians, 30% ukrainians, which in no way is the same, and the rest of german, british and czechs. I can honestly say that i very on our russian roomie goggled have. Not only has this klisches the saufenden and plates vollstapelnden russians met. On the contrary, in the soccer could even friendships arise. It was a pleasant atmosphere. An absolute expert in his area is Osama. He has a small travel agency where you quadausflüge and the like can book. With a bit of skill in the act on its costs. People should everywhere in the hotel traded. In conclusion still another episode the shows me how nice and honest these people are. I have my bill from 678.30 egyptian pounds paid by credit cards. Somehow, with the payment a 3 with reingerutscht. So from 678 pound 6738 pounds. As i at home my accountstate looked were 700 Euro down the drain. I then 3 times in the hotel called and even without a large knowledge could be helped. 2 days later i had my money back. Superb

Room is big enough for 2 person for a standard room. all fully equiped with furniture, bathroom, air-conditioning, TV, balcony, terrace, mini bar, safety box, telephone. The building is new !

There're 1 Italian Restaurant( 1 complimentary diner), Seafood restaurant(non inclusive), 1 bistro(inclusive) that open 24/7 so whenever u're hungry between meal u can just go to the bistro(most convenient facility!). The food served in the dining hall are variety with each day different themes eg Tuesday is Seafood day! Well i would say the quality of the food isn't as 5 star as it should be but it wasn't that bad at all! Those meals served and free flow of drinks at the bar for one day could cost more than $70 per person and I just paid $450 for 7 nights for flight and hotel.

The staffs are very friendly! I would like to say my heartfelt gratitude to the ANIMATION TEAM who has made the resort so alive and happening! Thank you so much dear JASON, DENYS, ROMA, TITO, MIMI, MOONO,CRISTINA, SVETA AND OLGA! They did an amazong job to keep the guests entertained:)! Most of staffs can speak in English and Arabic, majority can speak in Russian and some can speak other languages eg Italian, French. The room is always clean. They have entertainment for the kids as well so called mini disco after diner:)!

There're diving centre, snorkeling, kitesurfing, kids club, disco every night, perfomances by the ANIMATION TEAM(AWESOME), internet access not inclusive althought i would suggest complimentary of 1 hour internet access for 1 day:). The beach are clean vast, with more than enough of sunbeds, with jetty than make snorkeling if possible at any time.

The hotel was huge! with 1 small heated pool , 1 huge non-heated pool, private beach with jetty, restaurants, shisha place, volley ball court, gym, diving centre the resort is very alive even though it's located about 30-40minutes away from the city. our room is always clean, the staffs are very friendly and helpful, always offer help and smile at any time. Im so glad i've chosen this hoetl!

This hotel is pretty remote from other hotel, located 30-40 minutes away from Hurghada city and 15 minutes away from Safaga town (just a small town to withdraw money coz there's no atm machine at the resort). There were a 1 shop selling bikinis,1 shop selling perfumes, 1 shop selling coffee and tea, 1 pharmacy. In the resort they're diving centre(they do offer diving license from Padi), snorkeling centre, Utopia Island sight seeing.

Our room was very well maintained and is also cleaned every day %blank%. Also the hand towels were always fresh, even though we the daily changing unnecessary find. In the room we an information brochure was missing on the hotel itself, like for instance meal times, opening hours of the bars, extra charge for... Etc. It must be as a newcomer everything yourself. I found good, that we in the room an ironing board and iron had, after almost three weeks, had to the then also be used. On the balcony there were two chairs. A small table would have been nice. For a small tip we were placed a handtowel decoration of our cleaning staff on the bed gezaubert get. The us again and again a smile on the face gezaubert.

In the hotel there are two restaurants. A in the hotel itself and a at the beach. Similarly, another fish restaurant (cost extra and looks cute quaint from ) at the time our stay is a newly opened, the we however didn't use. At the beach you could have breakfast and lunch (lunch it was us there but too crowded). In the evening there was food a la carte. For all inclusive users this is even free of charge. In the main restaurant it is especially around new year's eve very, very full, partly we found no space, and are later come back. You must for simply find out, whether one of the at the buffet in purchase takes, or rather an hour later and then relaxed food. The food in the restaurant counts for us to the best, the we have ever eaten. The selection was huge and always in moderation as. I would say, that it a cheek think, as some nationalities your plates who piled and then the food trash can. This is in a country, such as Egypt an isolence. All adults should bear in mind, that in front of the hotel door lots of people go hungry. Catch up is always possible, any needs in the amwaj hotel afraid to starve. Mornings the breakfast was very british touch, but there was also delicious feta and the typical sweet pastries. It was nice again and again the so-called 'health corner' with healthy dishes. Every afternoon and evening there was chicken or beef, and fish. Time was mexican, once italian, once arabic evening. If you didn't find it, that is not to help. In the morning, there was always served juice, from the lunch then also the soft drinks. From and on glasses missing. As i can but also again only say, if make guests three to four glasses alone use, then this is the no wonder.# Much effort and attention to detail one has itself with the new year's buffet given. The selection of meat, fish and seafood was gigantic. In addition to the lovingly decorated individual buffets, great for the eye and for the taste buds. Also here six suns, for its excellent service and excellent food, that us yet stayed in good memory is.

All employees have us very friendly and accommodating treated. We were during the whole stay very comfortable and well cared for. German could the few employees, but for a: 'everything well?' It was always enough. Who speaks english, is in this hotel in good hands. But it was one or another linguistic problem at the front desk, the misunderstandings led. Our tip, just the man to raise, the great speaks german, then it worked here without any problems. Particularly to emphasize we would like the pleasant staff at the beach bar, of the pool bar and bar in the hotel, as well as the guys in the restaurant. We would be very happy, one or another again this year to see.

The large pool was actually heated and it felt on, than go the iced water swimming. A shame, as this not be used. The pool the wellness center is heated and therefore always strongly attended. The sea was but not cold, so that we the snorkelling every day use. Sport and entertainment is definitely offered and the entertainment team is also always endeavors the guests to motivate, we have the offer however not really use, since we really only to relax, read and wanted to snorkel. In the evening there are different themes, such as the choice of mr. and mrs. amwaj, bingo night, oriental show etc. Look is worthwhile sure, but also we only used it once

The well-kept and wonderfully located hotel is relaxed 45 minutes from Hurghada airport away. Already the first sight of of the lobby in the spacious garden with its various pools, gives a good feeling finally on vacation arrived. Almost all rooms, especially the on the upper floors have a sea view. Also we had the good fortune a room upgrade, without additional costs, to have. The staff in the hotel was always very accommodating and exceedingly friendly, also the entertainment team, the almost around the clock with sport possibilities and pool entertained. The types of people were of very different ages. We have older couples (around the 70 years) met, as young girls mitte 20. every age group can in this wonderful hotel comfortable. The largest percentage of the guests comes from Russia (about 95%), less, but nevertheless were represented germans, english and italian during our stay.

From the airport, we are just 45 minutes to safaga dangers. There the hotel lies right outside and without direct neighbors. For relaxing so really great. Restaurant, shops or the like, one finds only in the resort itself, but you can not just anywhere we wanted to go. The seclusion may, away from the mass tourism Hurghada is here very happy days spend.
