    The journey with a taxi from the airport to the hotel is night 2.5 and during the day 4 hours. About 30 kilometer until clombo and then 60 kilometer to the hotel. The beach before the hotlegarten is often empty because of sand flies, trash and unterströhmung for an adjoining river and sea.

The hotel is well kept, the food very varied and tasty. The beach is wonderful, swimming is because of currents only very limited possible. The staff are very slowly, the working moral little pronounced. Everything took very long, it is difficult for a coffee for breakfast and in comparison other destinations in Asien, as Thailand or Bali, not courteous. If you want a relaxing holiday wishes, stays here for asian standards very much outside of the hotel. All work, massages are also of men performed, which we very bad experiences did. read more

- top food with a lot of choice/variety We have booked half board, more than adequate. You could eat lunch upon request in the hotel for circa 5 Euro/per person catering. For every meal time there is a large and good tasting dishes buffet. Who there nothing finds is at home only dry bread, there's really nothing to moan about. - annoying beachboys at the beach/in front of the hotel Beware Nico in front of the hotel annoying and way too expensive Richie at the beach is friendly but nevertheless also too expensive Sena is a good drivers in the ... Look for your travel to together! Good help for it, is the guide from dumont for Sri Lanka on amazon look at! We have, for example, with train ride to galle/ matara, the visit of a turtle farm, the transfer to the hotel, the Jeep Safari to the national park (only 2 in a Jeep with a guide), night with full board nearby the national parks only 190 Euro for two people paid. The hotel shows, which the rooms concerned, ambivalent. We had a standard room booked. The from the hotel offered room was to put it mildly a catastrophe. Mold in the bathroom, stains on the soils and the chairs, boxes worn and the room as such run-down. After a complaint at the hotel management was a superior room made available, the clean and the standard of a 4 star hotels was. According to hotel management is the hotel from middle 2013 entirely renovated. read more

Whoever is looking for peace and quiet, should this hotel avoid. The hotel is mostly by Russian and Chinese vacations ( home) were looking for. The noise by the pool and in the dining room you can't describe. The hotel was us as an alternative the Lanka Princess recommended, as in the lp renovation works carried out were. All in all, a very nice hotel, good food, friendly staff, and good size rooms, although ours smelt slightly musty. Very good free yoga classes offfered. The hotel's driver service seemed over priced in comparison with other places in Sri Lanka. read more

The hotel with very friendly staff lies directly at the beach. The May the beginning of the rainy season were, the hotel was not 100% IG fully booked. So, we had lots of space in the garden area, in the restaurant, at the bar and hence perfect holiday rest rest. Particular emphasis should be on the absolutely friendly staff with very good German. Bit of English you should nevertheless can. The rooms are probably already a bit shabby, the bathroom might renovation use, it didn't bother us, since we much on the way or at the beach were. It was ... every day thoroughly cleaned and our bed was lovingly decorated. In front of the hotel there are many guides. Just talk to them, they are very nice and you can have the most different excursions with you undertake. read more

Before the beginning our vacation we had a bit scared, because the hotel from the review something was dropped. We can't confirm this. The hotel has friendly, helpful staff and is always make an effort every concern of the guest to fulfill. We felt really good. The rooms were always clean. The hotel we would at any time recommend. However a shame, that the swimming on the very nice pool limited, because the red flag at the beach ( unpredictable flow ) swimming in the sea is prohibited. read more

We used this hotel as the first stop on our round trip. Transfer time from the airport about 2,5 hours. Since we unfortunately only shortly before place was, we cannot so eloquently rate but in general the EDEN a cozy hotel with beautiful large beach section and surely suitable for a relaxing beach vacation. read more

On arrival we were a bit disappointed over the cleanliness of the bathroom, as well as the towels and the bed sheets. The service from the staff was perfect. It was reacted immediately and we got everything was fresh and clean. The double rooms are ageing and accordingly in a worn condition. Us this however not disturbed. The main restaurant, as well as the Seafoodrestaurant we can only positively mention. There was a wide selection of cold, warm meals and freshly grilled specialties. Furthermore were curry in many variations. The garden area and the pool area were very nicely arranged. ... Pool chairs were sufficiently available. The pool boys were very considerate and helpful. The beach was spacious and clean. Swimming in the sea was only limited possible as the undercurrent was very strong. Following our very interesting, 7-day round trip was the choice of this quiet hotels for relaxation optimal. We would like to highlight the very good food specifically related to locals Currys, while the benefits of the service personnel depending upon daily form very patchy were. But this one probably less out of malice as more on Mentalitätsgründe relate. Apart from that matched the whole vacation allen expectations, whereas flora and fauna very impressive and outlandish are. For a round trip there is plenty of potential of sights to landscape and culture. Tip: insect repellant not forget! read more

The hotel is really a bit older, but it is actually a beautiful hotel. We could regularly see, that broken was repaired, one is thus already hard, the hotel maintained. The cleanliness was also reasonable. Unfortunately were also with us lots of russians, we felt those however not as disturbing, merely the ' liegenklau' was a bit annoying, since these are not even used. The average age transverse patch, to the end of our trip, but enormous through prior a whole group of pensioners. read more

    We had a superior -room. This was very big and also the bathroom was without complaints. The air conditioning ran, the tv and also the kettle. The cleanliness was also reasonable. The terrace i thought that was a a bit small especially behind the sunbed area started and you get a little bit cramped was, if the russians directly in front of a the loungers had established.

    The food was really good, we always found something to eat and it was varied. Merely a little more fruit for offer we would have wished. The atmosphere itself was about the same as in the fast food, wohlfühlecken there was not. The best tables with a pool view were always reserved, it is amazing what with tips everything to rules. Partly was the restaurant crowded. In this case the ' platzzuteilerin', the otherwise the table apportioning, as the earth swallowed.

    The foreign language skills are unfortunately more than poor, at least the front desk subject. This makes the check in to the ordeal. We were to some extent the english language, but the singalesische english is very getting used to and you have to be prepared. The cleaning of the rooms was excellent, tip thank heavens!

    There are, however everything only for an extra charge. Every morning there was 'water-aerobic' with the same music. This was free of charge. The pool was reasonable and always clean kept. Loungers there were generally enough, against tip they were also brought and with cushions and towel taken. However have the loungers already better days.

    The location of the hotel corresponded to our conceptions, it lies directly at the beach. From the airport it is however 3 hours away, so that the transfer a bit annoying. But one gets also just a remaining impression from the chaotic road transport in Sri Lanka.

As in such countries usually only for a tip a bit thorough cleaned. the food was completely okay. You have always found something to eat. but: the absolute disaster was, that in our room the safe did not work and despite repeated not was repaired. and by coincidence, was missing on the fifth day our stay suddenly an individual 100 dollars appearance, which I ... mentioned in my bag between the clothes had hidden, from my room. I reported this of course immediately or I am sure, that by a cleaning Kraft was stolen, but was done exactly nothing at all. it is however even worse: a US reisendes couple the day of check out the open drinks pay, as the hotel management a bill of €80 for conversations after Austria requested, which allegedly with the phone were led. Obviously was not the case, what the two or I manager of the hotel so said. This smiled however only so provocative and said, that we the hotel may leave, if this bill is paid. read more

    the beach only by a fencing to reach, but not very einladenswert. Rather even dirty. Before wait also always a large number of beach boys and as soon as you only a foot on the beach, you will being chatted up... Just a hassle. The already described several times the drive from airport the hotel also pleasant, but one takes in purchase.
