The hotel is nice and clean, conveniently located at walking distance from every major spot in Wien. The staff is friendly and speaks fluently several languages. The breakfast has a large selection and of good quality. Weak point: being a 4 star hotel, I would expect larger rooms and bathrooms. read more

I liked almost everything about this hotel - clean and cosy room, friendly receptionists, great location (3 minutes by walk from Rathaus metro station) on a tiny and quiet side-street.
The bad things are: very expensive breakfast (20 euro per person), very unstable wi-fi connection, no tea-making facilities in the room (which is strange for a 4-star hotel), no dressing gowns and house slippers in the room. But there is a BILLA supermarket just around the corner, so you can buy some food there.
Hotel itself is overpriced, but we had a special offer with good discount, so decided to ... stay there. read more

Were already to second time in this hotel and are definitely again return. The location is ideal, the center is only a walk far away. Because of the proximity to town hall Square ( subway-station) can be reached in shortest time to all sights. We were in the hotel welcomed in a friendly manner. Especially recommendable the privilege -room! We have nothing to complain about and thank you again for the beautiful weekend read more

We have us in the privileges -room felt really good and were very well taken care of; only the water prices in the minibar ( 4,40 Euro for 0.7 liter!) were completely not acceptable.
Regarding the espresso-caps in the room there obviously disagreements between barrista, the US a choice kredenzte, and the housekeeper, the caps on 'standard' (2 with, 2 without caffeine), and the rest with took.
The air conditioning worked very well, the bed was soft and comfortable.
The inclusion of television/radio with drop-down -menu was unfortunately cumbersome and time consuming, the selection of programs and channels ... then however good.
The breakfast was until 12 o'clock served and there was' everything ', whereby the choice of fruits and cakes, Particles and strudel especially large and very good was, the selection of hearty food was good average. read more

An ideal hotel, if one the city Wien on foot or with public transportation explore would like.

The location of the hotel is be real advantage-and probably the only reason, to book it. Apart from that it has its best times already behind itself, what the atmosphere at not compensated, rather will be underlined. Traffic-Technically very easy to reach. Metro stations Rathaus or public theater. From the airport Vienna 1 times the praterstern change, very easy. Very pleasant atmosphere. The hotel Mercure josefshof is a beautiful, charming and central hotel in Vienna.
it is perfect on the metro stop town hall to reach.
check in ran smooth and very quickly. Despite earlier Arrival was the room ready and they offered to let us, the sheets. ( clue: with room reservation through a onlinereservation portal as trivago. De or similar according to front desk no choice A-Club-points credited)
the room was very clean, with a flat-screen TV and a large bathroom. You had a view of the inner courtyard. On for itself was the room not very large -personally I ... had for a 4 star hotel then nevertheless 2-3 square metre expected more.
the beds were very, very comfortable, as well as the pillows.
wireless Internet was free.
the choice of the breakfast was excellent-service too very accommodating. Nice, small breakfast room with everything you need.
check out too smooth -luggage you can in a special therefor existing room kept and with actual check out.
small Vienna-tip still in conclusion: at the Vienna State opera is a place evening cashier, the 80 minutes before the beginning opera/play etc. opens. Most expensive card costs here 4 euros. So we have sleeping beauty to a super-Tariff can see. read more

The hotel is not far away from the town hall. a maximum of three minutes walk. There you could easily with the underground U2 zum Prater star or to the karlsplatz (in various directions transfer) drive. Due to the location (side street), it is nice and quiet. All objects of interest can one the service was exceptional. Transport and within very easy walking distance. For a city trip anytime again. The size of the room: number 524 is on the top floor and relatively small. For us as a couple, no problem, since we were there anyway only to change ... the clothes and to sleep in. The hotel is centrally located (2 minutes to the underground town hall or public theater). Check-in without any problem. The room was large and the beds good. Our bathroom was large and had a corner bathtub. The breakfast was very extensive, tasted good and was also available for late risers (at eleven, there was a fresh buffet).HCLFHLWireless internet is expensive (7 €/ hour) but there is a PC with Internet in the foyer that you can use free of charge the easily is available (not continuously occupied).
