The hotel golden Barrel lies somewhat outside of the historic old town from Rothenburg directly at a main street. The old town is reachable in circa 10 minutes on foot. We stayed in the old building of the hotel accommodated. In spite of the location at the main street we have to deplore no noise disturbance. The room was decently furnished, clean and peaceful to the beer garden located. From the beer garden no disturbances from. The hand and bath towels in the bathroom but we had already much better days and times for newer exchanged. Positive is the really ... big flat screen TV in the room. The food in the restaurant was for the price reasonable and was good average. Same goes for the breakfast buffet. Not really something to find fault but evenly also no highlight. Our in short: The hotel we can recommend. We went on our annual visits in Rothenburg but for slightly higher price much better. The from the hotel golden Barrel offered level can be however in Rothenburg also quite reasonably priced get. read more

A very good hotel for a city break. Directly at the stadteinfahrt located, short distance to the historic old town. Very good breakfast! Everyone is very friendly! The room lied at the back and was therefore very quiet! read more

I warvzwei nights in this hotel and really nothing to fault. Had me prior to a comfort room to a quiet side reserved which I also got. The hotel lies at the entrance of rothenburg and is easy to find in the yard are ample parking, the nothing costs. There are standard and comfort rooms are located in a new building I had a night 69 euros with breakfast paid. To wonderful old town walk about 5 minutes and the market place about 10 minutes. The hotel lies no 10-minute walk away from beautiful Rothenburger old town. We were welcomed in a friendly manner and our room was large, clean and luckily to the backyard, because the hotel on a main street is. We spent two very friendly couple with three pleasant days at the hotel. The service was accommodating and very friendly. Two of the rooms were rather small, but we knew that beforehand, therefor were all three room by a common balcony and we put a greater than the size of the room. The rooms were very clean, the bathrooms gave no reason for complaints. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food was excellent, the breakfast buffet offered plenty of choice for every taste. Lovingly aufgemalte faces gracing the eggs. We had booked the culinary tour and most warmly recommend. ... The aperitif and the starter in our hotel and were excellent. All in all we enjoyed our stay in the hotel and in rothenburg OB der Tauber very good. read more

We stayed a night here. Nice people, friendly staff, good food. To the city center one runs about 5a 10 minutes. The city center is worth seeing. Would love to go for a walk on the Wehgang. Suitable for short stay. Large parking lot directly in front of the house and against surcharge would also have a garage. read more
