Wonderful break in a quirky hotel

This quirky hotel wouldn't be for everyone, but we loved it! The suite itself was very generous, with lots of bits - a huge bedroom, comfortable sitting room that looked out over the gardens, an inner courtyard that was completely private, a patio overlooking the gardens, masses of storage and the bathroom. Wow, it was lovely sitting in the jacuzzi looking out at the stars. Perfect relaxation. The staff were ALL extremely friendly and helpful. The bar area is a little disappointing - we would have liked more "age and country appropriate" music, the majority of guests while we were ... there were over 50. However, we didn't ask them to change it, and I'm sure they would have if we had. Costa Calma is very small, but has most things that you need, and within walking distance. We were half board, the food was really good, so we didn't go out looking for night life. If you want something different from the normal hotel block, I'd recommend this place. read more

Hotel exclusively with suites and junior suites. For sure already getting old, but for the guest is hardly noticeable. The suites are in great shape and has everything, what one for a vacation in the room needs (perhaps a little bit more). Who needs already 2 tv? Jacuzzi in the bathroom is also standard, lots of space in the rooms, the somewhere in igloo-shaped and well into the area fits, without the countryside to destroyed-but the hotel complex in the first row at the Costa Calma unfortunately not always say. Wifi is free of charge, but works well in the ... suite only very weak and with ultra lots of patience. The could be still be improved. The cleanliness is very good - the rooms are cleaned daily - the times with the famous 'please do not disturb ' sign great tax. We had half board- more than adequate and is a good choice, because the food in the hotel is very tidy. In addition i come later still more. read more

    The suites i above already a lot written. I think it would be good, if the suites with a coffee maker and pay coffee, but with a kettle and free (!) Coffee facilities would be. That would be a service, the not very expensive would be, but certainly some guests delight would. And the daily bottle of free (!) Water on the suites would the hotel certainly not particularly hurt. Otherwise everything ok and a heavy 'good'.

    At the bar, i am already above discussed at length. Otherwise is the gastronomy good. In the evening a 5-course menu, the a very good standard of the kitchen shows. We were a week and have heard, that the dishes then after one week started again should. But in this a week we were really very satisfied. Of course, there is often a course, the not very successful or simply for personal reasons no winner was. But that is before and must not be a reason, a kitchen to condemn. Sometimes i would have at the buffet a little more choice. Because if it really the starters and desserts not so you, you're on the buffet avoid-and since it was missing to me sometimes a bit the selection. The breakfast was okay - the champagne for breakfast must, can here also slamming. For this is however the saftauswahl could be improved. Offered from a undecorated machines orange juice and much too sweet apfelsirup (different i this brew not call)-as would be the hotel certainly not in the ruin, if the nice and especially rich presented would. The atmosphere and cleanliness are perfectly alright. Of course you have sometimes annoying guests, but there is unfortunately everywhere. Wines are available, prices are ok. The complete evaluation of this, there is from me with a lot of good will still a 'good'.

    The service in the hotel is good. Also here must i a little stride out, because some of the staff are really friendly and treated us as old friends (detty), but others are surly, that they have not yet even a smile area. And the daily. We had mostly detty than our waitress-so we had no reason to complain. Some other people i should perhaps another rating. In terms of 'competence' amongst the staff sometimes a small gap. You must also in the evening the bar adopt, but some of it is rather a burden and no pleasure. Is funny defendendo, like some 'bartender' (i do not want to mention any names) behind the wall at the bar hiding or simply times briefly go, instead of the front counter tantly to show, where you finally belong. And also the competence of some ' bartender ' leaves much to be desired. On the question of non-alcoholic cocktails we got one evening the answer: 'if i feel the cocktails with alcohol just the alcohol parts, is the cocktail also nonalcoholic ones.' Nee, is clear... ☺ furthermore, sometimes the prices in the price list of bar more with the prices match, the the waiters then deduct want.     We can still with clear conscience of 'beach' speak, even if a round quarter of an hour walk, to one then at the beach is. The hotel lies thus rather in the '2. series', which especially the elderly before the reservation should consider. Nevertheless the hotel apparently many older guests-also quite rightly, i think. The drive with the bus from the airport to the hotel takes about an hour. Excursions were possible, but i would recommend, there a car to rent. Because you're not really in a place, where much is going on. So if you want less peace and party, should the reservation in this area to consider. For small purchases the spar store around the corner and also the small town, but on foot then also already again a small march requires... Also here you will need a good quarter of an hour... We liked it in this environment liked it-so 5 stars. A small drawback i make, because in my opinion, the way to the beach not really nice-there is no 'beach', the paths are sometimes very stony and optically often no focal point.

The risk del gato is the perfect location, to relax. The people at the front desk are very friendly and willing to help. The privacy of suites featuring private courtyard perfect! This hotel is not cheap, but worth every penny! read more

The risk del gato is not a beach hotel -it is about 10 minutes to the beach on foot. It is a relatively closed, quiet and well-kept complex with only suites in african-inspired architecture. Each suite has a not observable courtyard and a sparate terrace. Each suite has 2 tv equipment and a safe in the living room there is a work desk, sofa, armchair, table. There are two pools and a fitness center (but a little sparse-the bikes was not fully functional), as well as a sauna. The breakfast can both inside, and outside in the restaurant be taken ... sparkling wine and fresh egg dishes inclusive. A well-kept holiday home. read more

Very nice and quiet hotel for relaxing. The staff are friendly and competent, the accommodation generously and well equipped and the rich breakfast respectively varied and good dinner are just recommendable nonetheless. The really beautiful and not overcrowded beach is only a couple of minutes away from the hotel. To the explore the island is a rental car highly recommendable. read more

All together needed the hotel a renovation in Detail. On the whole is all well and good, but looks carefully solves some paint and are missing a few Mosaic tiles and louder such details. The pool is normal OK. But the fact that he pits is, it is at this time of the year only for hard gesottene to use. The hotel is but altogether nice and the staff's hospitality definitely recommendable. Child care not available, playground is available and also okay. Unfortunate is, the courtyards of the suites not enough wind and therefore to sit at this time of ... year are not suitable. Sauna and spa, as well as fitness area is available and also very good in shot. Sporting activities were not available and we didn't like. The food was OK. But it is not from the stools hewed. read more

It was the smallest complex we have found. This was really a wonderful outdoor area, very well maintained, unfortunately it is nevertheless not in accordance with the requirements! You get everything your heart desires for breakfast, on champagne, fruit, any egg dishes, Crape , great Breads, hot food and yoghurt, juices, Croissant and everything other. evenings unfortunately offered two meal times, we were the first evening unfortunately in the second, this begins only at around half past nine, that is after German Time then half ten, which was way too late. the next morning we could luckily exchange and it begins the first meal time at a quarter to seven, especially around five with the sun was gone, fit it for the first time perfect.

    no animation, wonderful! the two pools in the outdoor area were both not heated, which was very cold and everyone said. the sea had in November at the 23 degrees, the pool perhaps 17 degrees or Sunday by the pool are enough sunbeds with thin Cushions available, most people are the whole day not to see. in the spa area there is the possibility massages to order, what we didn't use, but the Lord to much better when the woman be! If you are in the sauna should you always at the front desk Notice, otherwise it is way too cold. Jacuzzi is also in the spa for four persons and nice and warm.

All are disappointed the the quality so neglected and come nevertheless again, because they are not a small other hotel as an alternative find and you can probably aged not change one's habits would like. the average age was probably around 60 to 80 years!

    200 meters to the beach rather further! in front of the hotel were a week long Erdbauarbeiten running, which unfortunately to considerable noise led as the bulldozer in the reversing beeps, as a alarm clock. Left and right are two large hotel complexes and the beach is very small, you would have to have a piece run over to the large beaches to arrive, law is mainly Textilbaden and left mainly nudist bathing announced.

the hotel is in need of renovation! Rooms were big, but very worn bathroom mold in all sanitary facilities is not suitable for disabled people as there are many stairs to the restaurant to the führenund front desk as elevator always broken was! Too much money for the hotel food in the a la carte restaurant was good! read more

The perfect vacation for couples and singles very comfortable hotel, very nice garden, the whole staff was very friendly, the food was perfect to get to the beach you have to cross the small street but then you get the perfect sandy beach kilometers long simply fantastic.2 pool areas water was very cold. everything was very clean. simply perfect! The whole hotel area must be reconditioned completely. The furnishing is dated. Air conditioning did not work properly. Jets in the tub and the floor in the bathroom have mold on. Arrogant staff in the restaurant. Reception and chambermaids very friendly. Pool and fitness center much smaller than on the internet is presented. read more
