Good hotel in the Neustadt. Our room was newly renovated and tsehr nicely furnished. Old town and Grande Allee with many restaurants are within walking distance. In the hotel we only the breakfast taken, however in a separate hall for our travel group. To the regular breakfast so I can't comment. The, what was offered, was so so. read more

The Delta Québec had about 380 rooms and was a medium sized hotel. It was located in downtown center Quebec city and indeed in the new town outside the city walls, but not very far from the historic old Vieux-Québec. On entering the hotel, first take two escalators up. The reception, the public and free internet access and lifts to the rooms were there. The lift at the entrance could be used, but to go to the room had to change the lift. The entrance to the spa was between the two escalators. read more

The rooms could be opened with the respective room card. Since I was traveling with a tour group, the tour guide completed the check out, the card when leaving the hotel was simply placed on the desk. The furniture was not the newest, but clean. The single room was furnished with a king size bed with four pillows, a bedside table and bedside lamp, telephone and radio alarm clock, chair with floor lamp and coffee table, with the ice bucket with tongs, a TV cabinet with TV (English and French speaking channels), a desk with the coffee, tea water heater with accessories (coffee, decaffeinated coffee, milk, sugar, sweetener, one each of black and herbal tea), a desk lamp, telephone, desk chair, large mirror and a built-in closet, with the ironing board, iron, 10 coat hangers, bag rack, blanket and a bathrobe. In addition, there were trash cans for trash separation. The bathroom was spacious and adapted to the needs (towels, bath mat, hair dryer, facial tissues, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, two different soaps, two jars). The faucet was dripping slightly (the hotel during the time of my stay, had problems with the plumbing. The repairs took until 8pm. Apart from the noise we had no further problems.). My room didn't have a balcony. It could not be aired, but there was an air conditioner. There were electric sockets everywhere in the room and on the desk. Please note that Canada has a different electricity system than in Germany. The room was opposite the lifts. We did not notice the lifts, but heard the people exiting and entering. The rooms could be reached over one of two lifts. The drink and ice cube machine were in the hall, which was almost like a maze without any signs.

The breakfast was served in a conference room with no windows on the ground floor, which was intended only for the travel group. We could sit therefore, where we wanted or where space was (8-10 people per table). The selection was between: different varieties of tea, orange juice, coffee and milk, three different varieties of cereals, fruit (melon and pineapple) with three kinds of curds, yogurt, toast, croissants, muffins and pastries. The foods were refilled always again. The restaurant / bistro was not visited.

The reception was always occupied and happy to answer all questions in English and French. The wake up call service worked perfectly (recorded message). The room and bathroom were cleaned every day. Since the hotels in Canada want to show they were considerate about the environment, the hand towels were changed only if they were placed in the bathtub. On checking in and out of the room and payment of the room I could not comment because I was traveling with a tour group and the leader did that. The hotel also had a souvenir store (4th floor) and conference rooms. The car rental "Enterprise" was located at the entrance.

The spa area "Club Santé et Piscine" was on a floor between the entrance and the reception (see "The hotel in general"). It offered a weight room and a heated outdoor pool (5 x 12 m, 1.03 - 2.30 m deep) and a sauna. Access was with the room card was until 8 pm. The pool area was clean and was supervised by one staff member. Hand towels were available in the changing area. The lockers needed a padlock, pack one along. Also in the reception area, opposite the lifts there were two computers with internet access, to use for free for thirty minutes. In the rooms internet access cost CA $ 10.99, plus tax, 24 hours.

The hotel was located in downtown Quebec City (690 blvd René-Lévesque Est) in the "Colline Parlementaire" district. Northeast was the "Vieux-Quebec, northwest the "Quartier Saint-Jean-Baptiste". The city wall was about 500 m away, the "Promenade des Gouverneurs" about 800 m from the hotel. The "ècolobus" stopped directly in front of the hotel. The "René-Lévesque Est" had direct access to Highway 175 and to freeway 440.

The Delta is older, end of August 2010 we had a 3 night stay at the Delta. Construction noise because it is under construction underground parking, air conditioning was very noisy at night, you have to get away from it all to sleep. 25,56 CAD per day parking space in our underground car park, also internet 1 CAD per day. The only advantage is the very central location. The hotel is not recommended. read more

The room (4. Floor) has its has seen beter days long time ago. The remodel is actually urgent, probably it so take the ladies from housekeeping at vacuuming more so exactly. After complained about dust in the room we were given another. But this was not really cleaner. Supposedly nicer, renovated rooms could CAD 50, - more per night. Until December 2010 there was a construction site in the underground car park. The noise is in the room so loud that you can't even with the MP3 player and Ohrhörern noises. The AC in the room above us a rest ... of the noise. Maybe the hotel is on the upper floors, renovated better. But this room type (the voucher than "DELTA promotion') what the worst I have ever experienced. It is also in this hotel I have ever happened that the first time I the door to the nose a staff member possibly injuring left! Currently unfortunately really no recommendation, if you're looking for a little comfort us cleanliness is important. Shame really because the location is ideal. Maybe this hotel would be better Hilton few meters away? read more
