The Holiday Inn in armação de pêra is located directly on the beautiful sandy beach and the most rooms have a great view of the ocean. In the immediate area there are restaurants and food markets. The place is very developed, but, as it was very many portuguese guests attracts, it has somehow its charm and is not comparable to places such as Albufeira (i was very positive steep). The rooms are already a bit dated (carpet available), but everything is clean. The staff appeared to be very professional. read more

The hotel is mostly by older brits visited and is with this in mind - amongst others free 'teatime' with pastry and cakes! The offer was suggested a 'coffee' extended! Because of the experienced friendliness of the staff - without exception - force already on the way there an intensive comfort a, which then by the buffets compounded! The evening very varied dinner always with fresh fish-, meat- and vegetarian dishes are produced geschmacksorgassmen! The desserts buffet with fresh fruit and cakes- the icing on the cake-you should better avoid, otherwise ' rolls' home! By much movement in the gewichtsschwankung ... in tolerable framework held!
In the late season is the transaction of half board definitely recommendable - the surrounding restaurants exit the season opening partly only sporadically and the tischwein /water are to eat offered free! read more

No riesenbetonklotz, but medium-sized, pleasant hotel, we only booked with breakfast included. Half board is possible but not advisable: in the immediate area there were numerous, also reasonably priced, good and very good restaurants, cafes or imbißangebote, too many portuguese but also English or Italian.
Guests were too many older british, a few portuguese, individual German and french. This resulted in a quiet, relaxed, (for us) very relaxing atmosphere. The hotel is clean and well-kept. A limitation: the toilets by the pool ' smashing' afternoon intensively, probably therefore there is the their entrances the longest free chairs. read more

Great hotel for a beach vacation. The staff in the restaurant and at the front desk is always friendly and helpful. Even if a fitness room is available, so this below average quality. 1 treadmill, 1 bicycle and a only partially usable multi-Function Device, I not times for the Homebereich purchased could have been. A bar, the for me not to stay a while invites. The older English people in the hotel saw that differently. So good, as no evening entertainment in the hotel. But in the town there was a' street the bars'. I would for a 2. visit ... only with breakfast book. The restaurants there are cheap and good. English language skills are necessary, except for Claudia at the front desk speaks the staff little to not at all German. Definitely spend a little more money and book a room with a sea view! There are also rooms the promenade with direct view of the opposite buildings who from Berlin-Marzahn or similar districts in other Cities, would immediately like at home feel. The hotel scores with the direct beach area and therefore I recommend it is a beach vacation to 100% further. read more

The hotel was for our purposes of suitable, central location, directly at the beach and easy to find. Really disturbing were the rather unclean room. With a thorough vacuum cleaner would be the most however quick and easy to remove. Better would be room and courses with tiles, but when American hotels carpet was just standard. Otherwise there are certainly not enough staff, because room were always very late ready for us. read more

Great beach area:
If you are looking for a hotel directly on the beautiful sandy beach of armacao de Pera finds, is Holiday Inn great service. From the small pool area leads directly to the beach; right Gee jam you the typical rock formations, left the long sandy beach. Loungers directly in front of the hotel for circa 12 Euro per day reserve respectively anyone want to save money, just the couple steps to the free pool chairs of the hotel by the pool take in purchase. For a beach vacation the hotel is in any case very recommendable.

The hotel has a small pool and in terraces and chairs.
Marbled choice of food:
The breakfast buffet is strong 'English' influenced ( sausages, Bacon, Beans.), something sausage and cheese, jams and unfortunately only a small the offer for fresh fruit.
To the dinner buffet no indication to be made, but it is recommendable only overnight stay with breakfast to book, because the hotel directly at the pedestrian precinct and several good restaurants fresh fish to really reasonable prices offer ( recommendation: restaurant 'A Tasca'!). read more

The hotel and the location near the beach is great.
The beaches, Bays and rocks are exceptionally beautiful. On almost every beach or book you will find massive holes in the rocks, the sometimes also accessible are. There are very many chapels, forts and old cities to watch. We were unfortunately only a week, for all that you in Portugal see can be a little too short. read more

there is one in all areas very friendly mood, a general sensation produced-you really feel like a guest and will be treated as such. The Hotel/the rooms have been completely renovated and are 'very welcoming' /friendly designed! The kitchen is excellent, so in the off-season the half-board absolutely recommendable, since at this time many small restaurants close or are already closed! I stayed at this year at the wide breakfast buffet-English-but the diversity of the 'dark bread' and to ' whole wheat bread establishments! It is a pity, that the 'tea' the cake and pastries served only tea for free-just ... 'English'. The now large number of German guests, it might be worth considering, coffee to be enough! But this 'small 'possibilities to improve the' comfort ' hardly reduced! read more

The location of the hotel is optimal and is located directly at the start the promenade and beach.
The prices are in general in the area very pleasant. No beer 3 Euro, Cola for 1.50. cocktails between 3 and 7 Euro.
By the pool we got always a beach chair including table and umbrella (free). Access to the sea over a few steps within easy reach.
The staff is friendly and understood partly also german. English always worked.
The rooms were okay, ours was nordseitig with a 1 square meter balcony without table or a chair.
A safe is ... without a lock available-perhaps one gets at the front desk a?
Mini bar gives it also, but not filled. Is however no disadvantage, as it in the immediate area several mini markets are, the evening until minutes 21 pm open.
Money automats are also plentiful in the town.
The local bus stop is after 10-15 minutes walk distance. Public buses in portimao, Lagos, Albufeira. Cost circa 4 Euro per head and direction, duration about 1 hour.
All in all a very relaxing and pleasant stay. read more

We loved the hotel not satisfied. The food (half board) was not very varied and the selection of food was very well arranged. The balcony was very small and hard to use. Only three German channels to receive (3 sat and RTL). Of a four star hotel you would expect a lot more. The beach section in front of the hotel was overcrowded August. From seven o'clock in the morning are already on the beach with umbrellas and towels places occupied. The pool and the grounds are very small. The direct beach location of the hotel is beautiful. read more

Inside the hotel is renovated, the outside in dire need of a major renovation, the same goes for the pool. The variety in the food for breakfast and dinner is a 4-star hotel not worthy. in Spain 3 star hotels had already, were much better. Price/performance ratio was right at this hotel! read more

We were completely satisfied. Our room was with ocean view, very nicely decorated and very clean. The hotel has already some years on the embossment, but we were able to see easy to overlook. The hotel is right on the beach, also for people with children perfect. The check-in process was superb. For nuts a paradise and there was also plenty for meat eaters. If we should travel again to Portugal, then we would choose this hotel again. read more

The hotel has a wonderful location right on the beach. The rooms are newly renovated and very tastefully furnished. The food is of good quality and very delicious. The breakfast daily, as well as salads and appetizers for dinner was missing any change. The place is coined/shaped by "concrete", which is a shame. But you can in the immediate area very nice long walks. read more

We were now the 4. time in this hotel, the first time under new leadership holiday in. As the last time we were again very satisfied. The location at the beginning of the new designed seafront, directly on the fine, clean sandy beach is Algarve almost unique. Nearby the hotel, there is lots of bars and pub, where you typical of the country and cheap eating and drinking can. I would therefore recommend, the hotel only with breakfast to book. ( pub and bars are in the area also much reasonably priced as the hotel). Shops all types are nearby. ... The staff in the hotel is very friendly and accommodating. Also the car rental in the hotel I would recommend it. Free parking spaces at the hotel are available. The hotel ideal as a starting point to the exploration the beautiful Algarve. In any case you should book a room with a sea view. read more
