Hotel lies near the Yala national park. Good hotel for short stay. Restaurant has the charm a cafeteria, The variety limits. Room very big, bathroom so La, la. Beautiful, clean pool. Hotel complex looks a little neglected, can but also the drought be payable. read more

The hotel also makes a shabby impression. So slowly holiday his expectations down \u2639 The dining room is huge but not nice. The food and the service okay. Pool acceptable. Rooms very simple standard with a TV and safe. Bathroom OK. No mosquito spray (, though necessary ). For an overnight stay bearable. The bar is uncomfortable and in need of renovation. read more

This hotel we could unfortunately not recommend. The rooms were big and the bathroom also, but unfortunately not magic. No safety deposit box, no fridge and no hair dryer in the bathroom. In the restaurant has 20 mins until a waiter came to ask, whether we want to drink, and then another 10 minutes to the drinks came. The food was also not good, it was as if it would be several times heated have been. This hotel we could unfortunately not recommend. read more

Price / quality is very bad The atmosphere of the hotel is nice. The rooms, simple, clean, spacious. The buffet/food is ok, nothing special. The Sri lankan curry's are done cheap, to much pepper and chilli instead of the fabulous spices this country has to offer. The service is bad the smiles are there but requests ignored. Specially traveling with children (we had 2, one and half year olds) We asked for cordial for the kids (that we saw behind the bar) and were told those were only for cocktails, we had to order (expensive) fresh juices for the kids. ... The kids could not eat before the buffet opens unless you paid for 'a la cart' food. No special meals for kids are available. In two days the pool bar never opened, we had to get a waiter by walking to the reception each time. The English of the staff is generally below standard and so communication very difficult. All and all the 130 US$ we paid per room per night (our group had 9 rooms) did not show. read more

(Unfortunately) we only were at the Elephant Reach for one night, since we had booked a round trip. But of the five hotels, in which we stayed in, it was one of the most beautiful and best. The hotel is located directly on the Yala National Park - unfortunately quite remote from any shops, restaurants etc. But the beach is only a short drive away. The rooms were spotlessly clean, the complex, for Sri-Lankan standards, in good condition and well maintained and the whole hotel was decorated with little touches (coasters shaped like elephant feet, etc.). Since there weren't ... many guests, there was no buffet, but set meals (breakfast and dinner), for which you could choose the main course and dessert. The service in the restaurant was reserved but very friendly, as is typical for the country and the staff will return any smile. For an overnight stay on a round trip to the National Park, this is a perfect hotel. All in all definitely a recommendation, but the ways to the shops and sights will be quite far for a longer stay, unless you mostly want to see all the nature. read more

I stayed one night in this hotel, which also has bungalows. Really a very nice complex, close to Yala National Park. The only thing I will complain about, is that at night time it is completely dark in the complex, as there are no lights. You could not see where to walk. Otherwise, everything top. Staff, cleanliness, food, pool. Very recommendable. read more
