We wanted to heat, beach with nice reef and peace and booked therefore after extensive research on the internet the happy life village. As experienced ägyptenreisende (more than 15 times) we suspected, as a three stars hotel in North Africa/ arabia can be and what we expected. The hotel complex is well laid out all rooms have terrace or balcony to the garden and through this round you see the sea. Per house 8. rooms next to each other; always two rooms around one meter set back-the reihenhauscharakter and the whole in two floors. This construction would be a still ... stay possible - if not some tourists go on, as if you alone (binge drinking, slamming doors, and so on). According to the catalog is the hotel 2002 built. It looks partial older, grottier or carelessly treated or never completed. From the empfangszone /lobby to speisenrestaurant and between the houses is the complex relatively well maintained- a bit to the beach back or to the borders to desert lacks any tlc and it ruined everything. We stayed during our stay was simply a leading management missed-as in other three stars hotel standard. The construction-the hotel extension in the north the hotel- we found not disturbing. We had half board and this was more than adequate! All-inclusive is worthwhile maximum with vielessern, - trinkern and children. During our 3 weeks were the guests to 60% german, 20% polish, and the rest were czech-, scandinavian-, dutch-, french-and english-speaking. The average age of the guests went from 25 to 75 years - 60% between 30 and 50 years. Handicapped friendly the hotel not; family friendly rather-but! The sea is through the offshore reef only for swimmers. But there are two pools, one with slides and also a few toys in the garden area. read more

The rooms are big enough. Next to 2 beds, you are not collecting can (bedside table is in between and is with elektrokabeln and copper firm on the wall embodied) there is in the room a small table with two chairs, a fridge, a safe, a table with tv (german programs RTL and RTL II, as well as ARD and ZDF next to some arab channels, polish, russian, french, dutch and cnn), stool for the luggages, wardrobe with two (!) Iron, and a bathroom with sink, toilet and tub with shower. On of the terrace a plastic table and two plastic chairs. Two tumbler, an ashtray, telephone. Sufficient lamps, plenty electrical outlets-no schutzkontakt -but normal plug as cell phone charger or reisetauchsieder go smoothly without an adapter. Air conditioning, also as heating can be switched, was also available-but not used. As above already mentioned; if the neighbours not slamming doors or binge drinking hold, it could be quiet. From and to a lawn mower, a pick-up, a drink at the pool bar returns-it was noise. The irrigation the garden area is with custom or sewage smells sometimes a little musty-but pushy this was never. Services of the kitchen we were satisfied without exception. (we are restaurateurs) whether for breakfast or during dinner; the buffet was always plentiful and tasty set. Selection of bread, cakes, fruit salad, yogurt, jam, honey, various cheese, sausage, and bacon, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, sausage, potatoes and many other more, daily freshly prepared eggs with wunschzutaten, coffee, teas, juices, milk in the morning and in the evening different salads, appetizers, soup, beef, geglügel, lamb and fish, freshly prepared pasta with wunschzutaten, large toppers from fish or lamb, fresh grilled charcoal grill, potatoes, rice, vegetables and pastaspezialiäten ; incredibly many sweet pieces and beautifully ornate cakes and cakes, mousses, pudding, and fruit-or as salad... And... And... And... The cooks were without exception very friendly- the waiters also. Near the cleanliness there was once again the above mentioned management since stuck once in the morning a or other table or you saw in many places just dust and dirt and nobody wanted to see this. Friendly and helpful was the staff almost without exception. With a smile works everything simple-like everywhere on the world. With a little english one could get everywhere. At the check-in is also a german speaking staff present (the us from the airport pick you up). With the room cleaning we were not happy. Was several times the room not cleaned though we after 7 hours from the beach returned and had to call for. Also a erbetener the sheets were changed after 14 days took place only after repeated please. We also found our patio door (on the ground floor) 4 not locked-if we in the evening into the room back-every alien, in our room can help yourself. At the front desk they asked us-and, if something is missing - that was that. Laundry, doctor, child care is available- however by us was not used.

The entertainment team tried daily, us for to entice you, the gymnastics, the arabic course, for, to Boccia. Always friendly and definitely not pushy. We prefer the underwater world while snorkeling explored on foot. Whether golden blocks, muränengarten, three pools or sid-everywhere was stunning! At the jetty you could see lionfish, octopus, parrotfish and many other sealife-a dolphin visited us!. Snails and pipefish, surgeonfish and black seabreams, morey eels, rays, turtles and Napoleon (about 180 centimeter), stonefish and krokodilfisch, glasfische and outstandingly beautiful corals; and all these were only while snorkeling! Just a pity and frightening, as carefree and destructive many vacationers- but also the divers in packs and mass processing-the reef treat! It is only a matter of time, you can see the reef from the happy life village as the dead, gray, destroyed reefs of Hurghada. The beach was mostly clean. Chairs are sufficiently available- as well as the everywhere occurring reservers-who believe, already before 8. o'clock their towels spread to have... At a centrally located toilets were also showers to salzabspülen. The two pools in the extensive grounds of the hotel we didn't try-we wanted to into the sea. Also at the beach or the sports equipment (billiards, table tennis, tabletop football, weight machines), the above mentioned: everything seemed a little dingy and outdated-nobody is right to take care - a great shame actually!

The hotel is directly at the beach with a fantastic reef before giant mountains in the middle of the desert about 6 kilometers away of dahab. Through the privileged location amidst is especially peace guaranteed-no autohupen and similar. The passing kamelkarawanen (with tourists), quads, jeeps with divers are rather a change as disturbance. The beach in the direction west is sites, beduinencafés lined and relatively clean. In the direction east the beach and the desert with very much garbage mars to next hotel about 3 kilometers away. In the entrance area of the hotel there is a small kiosk, where you some things buy can (cigarettes, postcards, drinks, snacks, and so on.) And this opens on request- when we arrived at midnight. Besserere prices, there were of course in dahab in gazala market. There three times daily with the free shuttle bus. The first 500 metres at the hotel there is no street-only a bad was extremely bad-then follows a asphalt road and later large-scale roads with lighting, the glimpse, as the tourism still will extend in dahab-as in Hurghada.
