The hotel is absolutely recommendable. We stayed for the umpteenth time locally, least from 29-07-2012 until 09-08-2012.
The complete staff is very friendly, wishes are fulfilled immediately. The hotel has own loungers (2 piece per room included umbrella) the fine sandy beach. This is just a few meters opposite the hotel. To the city center it is also not far.
The hotel represents own bicycles free of charge available. The pool is very clean, he is served daily during the night cleaned.
Although the hotel on the promenade is, is the night noise could hardly be heard (thick blinds for ... the doors to the balcony). read more

The 2 time a wonderful vacation! Beautiful clean rooms, very friendly staff, and the easy going atmosphere is simply unique :-) otherwise is the beach only over the street, the pedestrian precinct is in a couple of minutes reached - couldn't be better... We will go again next year! read more

Nice, not really great current hotel in the first row at the beach. Size of the room is OK, but not on reconverted into. Unfortunately one is as Buchungsgast with N/F only guest 2. Klasse. Frühstücksorganisation with Platzeinteilung badly organized. Head waiter not very efficient and just guests with half board. read more

For years we several times year short break in Lignano and so some experiences with various hotels collected. 3 years ago we have for the first time in GHP checked in. Under the supervision of a nice and helpful family offers the guest comfort ambience as it rarely in Italian hotels finds. On the part of the owner's family are all efforts in order a stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible. Should the rich breakfast still wishes remain open, the head waiter personally for the fulfilment of the matter concerned. Towels and bicycles is available free of charge available. ... The hotel's location is quiet and central at the beach and yet only a few minutes walk from the pedestrian precinct away.

We come gladly every year return to the Grandhotel Playa, the hotel is both for couples / individuals, as well as families with children great. The food is very good, the staff extremely friendly, special requests is always without hesitate to received.
If necessary child care, even our 1,-year-old would have participate could.
The hotel is a family business, which makes itself the good leadership and willingness to help noticeable ( for example recommendation a kinderarztes, the then even evenings yet to the hotel old). I know the hotel already for years, it that every year a little more ... renewed, adapted or enlarged is what leads, that the hotel despite a certain age, no run-down works,
The hotel is directly at the beach, only separated by the beach promenade, the shopping is just a few meters away.
The rooms could be bigger, are but very clean.
There is nothing entspannenderes, as the day in a pleasant ambience on the hotel terrace end and the babble of the pool to listen to. read more

Have a very nice extended bathing and shopping weekend in Lignano spent. Until now we have always had a apartment, in future but we will book here. We would gladly come again into the Grand Hotel Playa! read more

Prior to check in, everything OK.
- Then the first Überreaschung! Air conditioning not Working. On demand at the front desk I have been told, that you not is defective, but simply not on! As a so-called four star hotel may be I don't know as a longer telephone call with the owner, what I only said I should window open (which, of course, far beyond 30 degrees very helpful is) assured he finally, the air conditioning from the next day turned on is!
Oh well! From in the shower to the cooling! The water was cool, however just cool ... to lukewarm.
Oje, again front desk, to inquire, whether Warmawasser only be switched on to?!
Warm water so I was assured there was. This should be true, however was the water only after 15 minutes warm, and this day for day!
and positive the location at the beach, and also the breakfast was completely OK. Except for a cafe! Unfortunately there were no fresh juice except 2 very chemically tasting from a machine.
Value for money is in my opinion not good as there is far better hotels in Sabbiadoro

All in all a very nice Kurzurlaubmit great beach great weather in the price included three beach chairs and umbrella What more could you ask for.

The hotel is nicely situated direct at the beach. From the very beginning (with a well organised check in - where within 10 minutes you get all information (including your free umbrella and two sunbeds at the beautiful "golden - sabbia d'oro) beach. The family B. and all staff are always very keen to be at your disposal for any help or information you might need. The hotel per se is in very good condition, and deserves the name Grand hotel. The air condition in the room works perfectly. Excellent servides, very good food (national and international), always excellent buffets ... (breakfast, antipasti, sweets).

Nostalgic hotel with a certain 'something'. Reasonably priced absolutely okay. Very friendly staff! Hassle-free check-in. Bicycle rental for free. Breakfast absolutely sufficient and alright. Free internet corner. Beach chairs and umbrella in the price included in the price. Directly at the beach, a few minutes in the main shopping street. Roof terrace with a great view, but would be a jacuzzi/hot tub really great! Whilst checking out we had to a little hurried from the room there the next guests already were there (season.) These we found a bit bothersome-the information had earlier come must, then one has on ... the day of departure no stress. Nevertheless, all were always extremely nice & friendly. Conclusion nice hotel - with all Touch, good value for money, wishes are almost always fulfilled ☺ keep it up! read more

We have double room and got a single room, where the bed a makeshift were promptly, the room was so small that you could hardly move could. The air conditioner was noisy, and dirty. Then I was on the roof terrace where supposedly should be a Jacuzzi (but there was none) as you can on a website or things they do not have the time. Almost every day the food, we sat on a table. So my conclusion is too expensive (four star) in no case. read more

Very nice hotel, but rather for older guests. two blocks away is the nice pedestrian area of Lignano with many shops and restaurants. The room with balcony was for a kurztrip sufficiently. The reception was friendly, but unfortunately is the check-out to ten o'clock in the morning already, you can but the car still until in the evening Park. In general a very nice hotel, unfortunately the breakfast was very bad. Nevertheless, we would love to again! read more

Is totally misleading the website. Is advertised with SpA and rooftop terrace with jacuzzi. Is it not the roof, it has been increased, to new room to build.
At the reception they said, you should change the website. I think that this should have been done a long time ago.
Otherwise the stay was pleasant. read more

- Safe could due to the lack of key cannot be used, it was promised that they would take care, but in the whole time we were there weren't happened. - Value for money for a 4 star hotel. The breakfast was in a B&B to compare with the, the coffee was transparent and not to drink. No vegetables at breakfast, only white bread and packaged wholemeal bread. - The staff was very nice, but that's a hotel of this category to be expected. - The hotel is a bit old and seemed very dated. - Parking great (covered parking) ... - near to the beach also perfect. read more

Nice, slightly dated hotel, but probably it is just the the "flair. The pool was clean, but much too cold and not really big. The room was good, but rather cramped. Buffet breakfast adequate, but hardly any fresh fruit, little juices, little selection of cereals, hard pastries. selection of food at dinner very varied and tasted very good. at the desk was forced polite and not interested - with the exception of owner! Great access to the beach, and near the high street. heap all around is the service staff in the dining room with friendliness and bemühtheit and "mohamed"! read more
