Which this hotel permitted is really disgraceful, no non-smoking rooms, even though, alleged double beds the in Germany as single beds are sold! Important, always king size bed! Staff was unfriendly and not helpful. Hair dryer on the wall screwed the cable too short in the plug socket not put. Room was run down, had 2 times the room changed and overall 5 rooms on different floors, all look the same down from, holes in the walls, the color bursts of the walls and ceilings, the furnishing is 20 years or older, the sockets are from the walls torn, the ... carpet is under way! read more

The hotel itself is from the outside nice, also the lobby is impressive.
We were (in light of the cheap price i have the anticipated) only on the 3. floor.
I have given the reviews with the worst expected. I was then but but positively surprised.
The room was big, the bathroom was also very big. Shower was accessible and very clean, generally, i can about the cleaning nothing suspend, towels are changed every day (even if the definitely not unneeded). Also the bed was clean. Off course the room was not brand-new, one noticed, that for a long time ... nothing was done, but to be honest i the complaints not understand, with the favourable price you can now times no deluxe superior hotel expect. Air conditioning was very scruffy, the windows were very drafty, the ceiling of the room was alarming stained. However as mentioned, you only for sleeping on (or at least) and for that was it really more than ok. Largest point of criticism the staff is, cleaning staff has no word with us changed, despite more than lush daily tip, staff the front desk was also rather rude, foreign languages skills are equal nothing, after the motto 'bird take it or leave it'. Also with organizer. Questions were only rude responded and only the coerced said. Nice exception it was the president, the luggages for the return trip for us kept has, this was very friendly and accommodating.
The location is really unbeatable, we have everything to foot explored.
All together i would book this hotel again. read more

By certain umständer in this case this hotel committed but basically before a stay just be warned-only the location is brilliant. Musty welcoming at the reception. The room a shock: the front door, unbelievable. In the room hangs putzstreifen from the ceiling, the furniture ancient, disgusting and stained, the closet actually a hole, the lighting dim, from 2 ancient table lamps, therefore no judgment about the condition of the carpeting possible. The bathroom a horror:mold, chipping platelet in the shower, blind mirror, filled up, not swept drilled holes everywhere, türzargen up to your middle frayed and chipped and moldy ..., the bed a wackelgestell. A hotel in such an incredible condition, i never had to experience. read more

Location more than perfect. Opposite the hotel the pennstation. In 30 minutes by train on new warks airport. Around the corner the Empire State Building. Thus in the middle in it, simply only geil.
Unfortunately the hotel is dirty, the staff incredibly rude and annoyed. With such a large hotel is more people at the check-in graduate. Waiting period of 70 minutes to check. Just crappy. The luggages were on the ground floor stored, because we have not able to check in. On demand where you the luggages pick-up in cellar sent, for a suitcase, back to the ground floor. ... Totally annoying, because the a back and forth send more familiar with. After 15 minutes, and a few discussions we had the luggages the accidentally left in a chamber asked. Much. There is also renovated rooms, ours was old and dirty. Hair in the tub, not really cleaned. Do not look under the bed- staubmonster ☺ mattress was very ok, but not under the sheet cake lol. We were just 2 nights in this hotel, before we were in brooklyn (h. i. express hotel, very nice, clean and pleasant staff, totally recommended!) Where we were to check out, because the hotel only for certain days was available. From brooklyn one is in 40 minutes with the subway in Manhattan.
If you just a short stay then you can it bear. The location is just really mega good. read more

Since i was already several times New York visited, i must at the negative comments easy smile. Often from first New York tourists written, which for narrow money innenstädtisches luxury hotel, which in New York here is not to find.
The hotel is old, the outdated furniture and it may well be, that the carpet a place.
Still beat price and location everything. For the innenstädtische location (20 meters from the subway, across the street from the Madison Square Garden and about 15 minutes on foot to Times Square) also a very peaceful hotel. read more

The hotel is massive, has a pompous entrance, 1700 rooms. We had penn 5000 club room, so one of the better room. It was in the 11 of 18 floors. The furnishing is old, and the room was quite small, but the bed was huge and super-comfy! We had a flatscreen tv, refrigerator. Of the cleanliness ok, if you are not behind the cabinets looked at ☺ also the bathroom was small, however the shower clean. We had not with flip-flops showers. Every day was the bed made and fresh towels and beach towels.
The breakfast was however a catastrophe ..., would not book with breakfast! The 'breakfast' was a small hotel room on the 12. floor with 6 chairs and 2 tall tables, a basket bagels, croissants, philadelphia, butter, that was it! Coffee, tea and juice there was instant coffee to brew. We have therefore always somewhere else to have breakfast!
The staff was very nice and helpful and has some useful particulars regarding attractions given. read more

Come in and the hotel from the outside see: super.
Unfortunately, man/woman to purely.
The hall is beautiful, unfortunately it was our room terrible. We were just on the 2. floor untergerbacht. Window to the backyard. The windows were (hotel 1919 built) since circa 1929 not cleaned. However nothing made-window anyway not on and the huge generator in front of the window was loud enough.
The carpet probably from 1920 and rarely cleaned. In the bathroom was mold and the faucet leaked without limits.
But it should also only for sleeping his. Early in the morning out and in the ... evening late rooms.
The location is unbeatable:-) read more

The hotel lives off of its location on the 7-th avenue, however nothing more. The us initially offered room was a disaster - dirty, extremely small, for 2 people an impertinence. The same applied for the hallways. And that at a price of more than 270 $.

Ok the location(super) was the reason to book this hotel, the price well as far as the comparison is for New York, the lobby impressive large also the hallways, bar was okay. But then the room old, musty new inclusive 50 years renovation traffic. The bathroom or as you called the sink no hot water (tap broken) the tub meter curtain small old unappealing hygienic?. The hit then in the morning at 7:30. only cold water 'that is unacceptable'... The rest not at all even try read more
