This was our 3. stay on embudu since 2010. We were 2010, 2012 and now evenly february/march 2013 and the development the island in the last few years good monitor. The hotel embudu village finally has over fully renovated superior bungalows. The standard bungalows are still on excitement hostel level. We had a superior, more about that later. The hotel and the rooms were always the tropical circumstances reasonably clean. Room service came in the morning and in the evening. The audience consisted mainly of guests roof, as well as a few french, british and japanese. It is full board ... and all inclusive were offered. We booked full board, since all-inclusive only worth it, if you have a lot of alcohol drink. We arrived in spite of the on the Maldives strong risen taxes and levies on circa 400 Euro at additional costs for 2 people in 2 weeks. This included 6 bottles of water per day, 2 time Cola per day, 1 times beer per day, now and then ice or a cocktail at the bar and 2 times Cola Light per day (not in all inclusive!). All inclusive is often only from circa 400 Euro surcharge per head to have, could for us not worth it. Unfortunately, the all-inclusive stay having gained. There is now some Ballermann-guests, the already in the morning in the bar the edge and then lunch my their naked beer belly in the restaurant push to have. This leads under circumstances whimsical situations between Ballermann and hotel staff. read more

    We had for the first time a renovated superior bungalow. We stayed in a section, the already before 1.5 years completely renovated. Sadly one saw also here already the first signs of decline, because not properly cleaned. The joints in the shower are full of mold, parts rust and the paint was crumbling already again. The furniture is nor in good condition. The soundproofing of the walls, the in the previous years we knew, and which the neighbor almost breathe could hear, we couldn't confirm. Probably you with some bungalows the sound absorption improved. Apropos sound... Minibar and air conditioning are developing a noise level, the engine room of a ship reminds. If you stay here no gehörschaden has, should ear plugs or similar carry forward, otherwise is not to be thought of sleep. Speaking of sleeping... The new mattresses are as already often described of concrete and what is worse, the pillows the flauschigkeit of zementkissen. As were the saggy mattresses and pillows clearly better. Seems at all the only improvement on earlier in these rooms the air conditioning to be, which is mounted was, that they not the bed blows.

    There's a restaurant. In the evenings, food issues enough, for example italian, mongolian, bbq... Etc. 2010 we were happy, the food to 14 days not more enjoyable to have. 2012 we were very surprised how much the kitchen improved had, which preparation, as well as selection was concerned. This year however we had the impression as if everything again developed backwards so. In the lobesgesang many other opinions here so we cannot agree. Lots of dishes for the european taste much too hot, the supposedly international prepared. Also the selection was taken. The dessert looks good, but tastes often after nothing at all. If you love that kitchen excellent finds, must ask themselves, excellent in comparison to what? Fertigfutter? Canteen? Or the food on the plane?

    The employees are still all friendly and accommodating, no matter wether it is a gardener or manager at the front desk it is. English one should be able already, if you want to communicate. Only a few staff spoke a few phrases in german. Room cleaning in the morning and in the evening, not western standard.

    There is no pool on the island. But the indian ocean, and we for diving also used. The competent basis means diver country. Overall, we had 12 days non-limit diving and are so with its own equipment on about 40 $per dive come. Without own equipment, as a beginner, if you have a guide needs, with boat trip and so on. However, you can actually almost 100 $for a tg are charged. What the nearby riff and the ecosystem concerns, we also here unfortunately a deterioration noted. When we 2010 for the first time on the island came, was embudu for his baby sharks known and there was good 8 piece of it in the lagoon. Last year there were only 2, this year no more. Also on the reef do you need a lot of luck, if one times a teenage or adult schwarzspitzenriffhai to face get wants. The schooling fishes have clearly decreased. Who embudu already longer knows, will this as we very regret this. Who for the first time on the Maldives fly, is still lots to see received.

    Embudu located near the capital male. The shuttle from the airport with the dhoni. Most dhonis now have a greater mechanization. The transfer lasts around 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the wind and waves. There is no animation on the island, only disco on sunday from 21:30 to 24:00. On wednesday the diving station a slideshow. Excursions, such as island hopping, fishing or shopping in male can in the hotel be booked. We were however only scuba diving on the island, therefore have no the desk used.

Beautiful island for swimming and snorkelling. The cleanliness the island was alright and was always clean. The prices general malediventypisch of course very high. Great the predominantly germans, austrians and swiss on the island vacation make. The french and british were despite their smaller number of the louder ☺ we had full board and are best driven. All inclusive is unprofitable, unless you want to every day with alcohol the evening. The offered ' bowl chair and baumarktstühle ' at the beach are an isolence! The pool chairs were quickly reserved with towels and not more people donated! Just a ... pity that you here at the wrong place saved and the hotel no matter where you and as you at the beach relax. read more

    The rooms are renovated and in good condition. The bathroom is large and it was great! The beds are as well as the pillows torture! The mattresses must apparently forever hold! Everything way too hard! Interested but unfortunately nobody!

    The friendliness and the helpfulness of the staff was very good! If you're friendly asked, was very friendly help! As you in the forest came in calls... Room cleaning could be better and more than just 2 towels provided! The question must be asked, then you can still get an additional towel.

    Snorkeling on the reef is a highlight. A beautiful korallengarten and very lots of fish to see. Please on the currents 8... Beach chairs and chairs are an isolence... Unfortunately!     Distance to the airport is only short, therefore aircraft noise with every plane good to hear! Very nice and large reef with great snorkeling.

Unfortunately no hotel for Maldives-connoisseur, but nevertheless good. For beginners suitable, essen european, too few beach chairs, but all-inclusive good choice. Three star ok, however also nothing more. For Maldives-repeaters, the comparison opportunities, there are better recommendations. Had a standard room and had the bitter regret it, the rooms are very shabby, in the bathroom was everywhere mold in the joints, sometimes there were the tiles broken and had holes the sewage was so dirty and the washbasin comb only salt water but the absolute highlight was the bed here, we had to find out the complete mattress at the seam with larveneiern covered was and the insects on the blanket as the marathon on the way were. When we the bed times after the front moved we could find the last time to not more cleaned ..., what we all saw, i do not want to write more. My conclusion for our vacation on embudu gladly again but only in a superior room read more

Beautiful island, good food. Broken or not any chairs on the beach. Only 1 towel per day! No wäschereinigungsservice. No maintenance of the tables and chairs, everywhere sticks lardaceous the suncream in several locations. Even if it is only a three stars island is you can for cleanliness 8.! We knew prior to and realized. A very original natural island. And you don't need shoes. Nevertheless a wonderful vacation! read more

The hotel embudu village is a three stars hotel in south male atoll. The reception on embudu was very warm. Our bungalow was large, newly renovated, clean and the bathroom newly remodeled. The whole complex is very clean and is constantly from the staff neat. The audience on embudu was mixed: there were lots of regular guests. read more

    Size absolutely sufficient. The bungalows have been recently renovated. Air conditioning system functioned perfectly. Particularly practical we found the water heater (absolutely neuwertiger zustand), around us occasionally a coffee or tea.

    There is a restaurant and a bar. The food is absolutely delicious and well seasoned. Some also sharp, which did not disturb us however. The selection of dishes is adequate and available in plentiful number. Very good was the every day frischegebackene bread, the sometimes still warm served.

    Great Robinson-island! One sees from the outside only green! Great location, directly on the open channel (embudu channel). Best diving/snorkelling. Great fishing (mantas, sharks...)

Once embudu, never more embudu. We came from the island bathala for two weeks after embudu. It was like a cold shower. The audience was much younger, thus the atmosphere quite busy and ungemüthlich. Dining room more like a cafeteria and the dishes tasted mostly with some exceptions (valentine's day). Fischvoller bones, meat hard, vegetables well, desserts nice colorful but without any taste. read more

The island itself is quite small. Although all rooms were fully booked, but always a quiet spot. The superior bungalows were cleaned several times a day and are equipped with an airco. Wi-fi is the front desk get, is however quite expensive (7 Dollar for 30 minutes). read more

    The superior rooms have a decent size. She are equipped with an airco, telephone and refrigerator. Also kettle and instant coffee is in the room. The bathroom was always clean cleaned.

    The food is always very varied and there is something for everyone there. Every evening there was another motto (italian, thai, steak...). We had all inclusive and had to the beverages not specially to pay. We tipped our restaurantboy and the roomboy given (each 15 Dollar).

    We booked with all of the staff of the hotel consistently good experience. All are very accommodating and decent. With english one can itself at the best communicate, some also speak a few words in german.

    From the airport to the island with the speedboat only 20 minutes, a traditional dhoni it up to an hour. There is a gift shop and a jeweller on the island. The souvenirs but you can always bargain a bit. Excursions to male or other islands are also offered.

A simple, but beautiful and unspoilt village on a cute little island. No excessive frills, but everything, what you really need is available. The buffet is not overstuffy, but plentiful. The food is absolutely delicious, especially the fish. We are every day snorkeling. The water and the fischwelt are great and the pool was right on the doorstep! If you on the inner reef, or in the morning before the beginning the current on the outer reef snorkeling, this island is for beginners not a problem. read more

    We had a superior bungalow. These are properly reconditioned, although relatively simple furnished and a bit too meagerly lit. As already mentioned, we were with the room cleaning (2 times a day ) very satisfied.

    There was a large restaurant, in which all 3 main meals was sufficient. Cleanliness was okay. The meals were always a few cooks in the restaurant, the the buffet refilled and alright kept. Especially nice for me was the chef, the for breakfast the egg dishes prepared. The food was okay. We always found something. We must bear in mind, that you are on a three stars island and all food only to the island must be brought.

    The staff was very friendly. We were especially with our bellboy and the waiters at the bar good. For the most part we had in the restaurant a nice young waiters, the us courteously. Unfortunately, the young also times a few days free and the representation had often sometimes ignored. Tip: for a small tip each. Regarding the foreign languages: one should at least a little 'english',.

It was our honeymoon, and it was simply a paradise everything was ok everything was perfect. The staff just very easy going very friendly, the beach the sea the underwater world the food simply a dream. It was a relaxing vacation with many facets, the exquisite kitchen is to mention again, the very high-quality and diverse was. The island but could have been more flair and quality, if less bungalows and guests it would be. Seemed like a bit too crowded, but the charm a bit lost. The underwater world the hotel is very attractive, the corals whereas rather a 'cemetery', which a great shame is ( elninio leaves regards). We really have 'everything' via snorkeling seen (turtles, sharks, barracudas, stonefish, rays and mantas and many colorful fish). The tauchschuleninhaber we had the impression, that every ... 'job' retract that. He was not just 'customer service' and very aggressive, after the dreary sight of the world of corals mentioned and we comparison from 1986 depicted (makunudu/north male atoll), probably the diving school not particulary good. If night water- and wellengetöse did not disturb, should definitely the water bungalows select, since here the privacy, and you're not so close to other vacations aneinanderhängt, since the island quite vollgebaut works. We stayed this star hotel consciously and our expectations were exceeded. Food was excellent. Some sharp, but you could always find something. Recommended for snorkelers, the don't expect luxury, but with a great reef were satisfied. All other on the small island without pool boring. Well for us!-) Only cons are the guests, the inefficient and the reef meeting. And the armchair and loungers, the interests of the general public belong as property and on the terrace bunkers even if they then spend hours unused is possible. Would be better, if you can get what you need and then ... not occupied leaves. But that do not create the least. Very antisocial. They should then rather a larger island select with numbered armchairs and loungers. I recommend therefore for embudu airbeds and hammocks. read more

Embudu leaves really nothing to be desired. The staff are selected friendly and helpful and excellent work. The food was lovely, although we didn't ' scharfesser' are, we always found something delicious. The reef is for the current still very nice, we saw sharks, mantas, schools, octopusse, etc. Seen. There is a very friendly atmosphere among the guests and you will find fast connection. Reserving the sitting and covers were replaced fresh: as i have Rebekka, i assessed, said. The stockpile and senseless show is really unpleasant. We are the in the area our bungalows that met, by rigorous armchair ... and are properly cleared and the towels folded up and give away have, the armchair if necessary, use them and then everything again returned. After a short time was from our on holiday nearby gladly accepted and it was not more occupied and on the balconies hoarded. If someone seats or loungers needed, he took it easy and she put to use not occupied back. Worked great, please, go with a little goodwill and good holiday feeling. We will certainly come to embudu drive. That was one of the most beautiful vacations, we have ever had! read more

For a few days always reasonable. A very clean island, the for snorkelling and diving. For small children definitely not adequate. There are many stechmücken. Luckily i had at short notice by the eco room on the standard bungalow transferred. Locally we saw, that the eco room, in a two-story house next to the sewage plant are with all the noise and without airconditioning. Then we had in the bungalow there was a extra bed and the space was sufficient straight. But the Maldives make it worth it! The island was very tidy and clean. And the staff good (in ... the same building, as the eco room, only at the back door). We have for three days felt comfortable. read more

Hotel very nice with beautiful beaches and good varied kitchen. Serving staff top, the room boys make everything very clean, at least twice a day sand in order. Only the staff. Especially the manager at the assignment of the rooms a bit overburdened, no possibility on klleinere wishes ' wishes. Also the travel guide on site (german from jahn and TUI- tourism) very rude and customers opposite very rude and arrogant. Otherwise a very recommendable island with super possibilities to go snorkeling. read more
