Big hotel in a great location between restaurants and Reeperbahn. Walk to the Reeperbahn, landing stages and fish market about 10 minutes (in different directions). We stayed in a new part of the hotel building, with view of the port (very nice in the evening), and it was to our complete satisfaction. Next time again! read more

A nice hotel with great location. The location should accordingly be paid. The rooms have normal size. Apart from that you should strongly in the wallet.

The hotel lies directly between port and the Reeperbahn, that means everything is within walking distance. To that the room was very modern (in the new building of the hotel) with direct view of the musical Lion King, as well as the jetties. It is not a party hotel, although the towerbar the hotel is attached. The towerbar is however difficult to achieve, since the lift very slow and small, here it is recommended, the stairs or another bar to use. The hotel is however really recommendable. read more

January 2013 - reason for trip musical king the löwem
We booked through the online portal of the hotel in the 'new part ' a room the kapitänsklasse booked. The expectations this room type were accordingly high, unfortunately we are here disappointed were. It was a standard room.
To the mill, we suffer no review give, because the for 20 €per person/day too expensive was. Here we have a comfortable breakfast in the town enjoyed.
The arrival by car turned out to be difficult since. There was no possibility right on the hotel parking and the parking garage was completely ... overcrowded, furthermore cost a day ticket 16€.
Positive to say, it was clean, central location and quiet.
For a reisetripp after hambrug i would the empire riverside hotel recommend. read more

Have 2 nights in this hotel spend. Have prior to the more modern part of the residenz booked. We had a room the kapitänsklasse with a view of the port. The view was fantastic! Looked directly the building the musicals Lion King, which we also visited. Small drawback was, and ter this complex a regular S-Bahn drove along and d this a little noise verusachte. Also we had to at the check-in bos 15 hours wait until we into the room could. The breakfast for lush 18 € we didn't use. Personally, i found the angerentende towerbar worth seeing even ... if the cocktail at the average here 10 €cost. Conclusion the location and view of the hotel is absolutely great. Harbor, Reeperbahn, musical and d other attractions can be reached on foot within a few minutes. The service and zimmservice is a 4 star hotel absolutely fair. We would gladly come again. Small tip as a city tour i would only the 'blue line' recommend, as this the only the außenalster lake and a personal tour guide. Tickets for that were available at the front desk. read more

The Hotel Hafen Hamburg is a central starting point for sightseeing tours and events in Hamburg perfectly suited. Directly above the piers, located, can all possible transport used amongst others the S-Bahn + subway with connections the stations (Altona, dammtor, main station), port- + city tours, as well as the ferry to musicalhaus 'Lion King' start here.
The hotel offers bright spacious rooms with a great view on the Elbe and the harbor, the Michel and the elbe philharmonic hall In the restaurant 'port 'with its' logenplätzen' you can get a magnificent view of the port with its docks, in ... which precisely cruise ships become outdated, enjoy. The power-bar on the 12. floor is certainly unique in Hamburg and accessible for everybody.
The drawback: who a room that looks great over the harbor elected, from the driving by subways in the sleep (however therefor there are ear plugs). And then the breakfast: either you pay Euro 18 per day/head or you walked for about 200 meters away bakery, because there, there are the extensive gourmet breakfast for 2 people to the price from €15.40. read more

Our 3. visit to the Hotel Hafen Hamburg was again top. This time we had a cabin room with a view of the street in the new wing of the hotel. The rooms are although small but well equipped with flat tv, free safe (very easy to use), hair dryer and mini bar. We have around us (at night as well) as good as nothing noticed, it was very quiet, which harbour is not the case should be, because rumbles the train was quite loud before itself. Lucky we had was with the parking situation. Directly in front of the ... hotel we could a free parking and did not in the narrow and expensive parking garage of the hotel. At the saturday afternoon we wanted to stay in the tower bar, the was well stocked. There was a sign with the instruction: 'and we placed '. Since i'm not to put put, we saw on the paragraph returns made.
The views are above is however brilliant, you must admit. We are then down to the small bar next to the reception where there are numerous perfect draught types of beer there is. Also here very attentive and nice serving staff. Fed had we not, what from of the kitchen came was but delicious from! To the location of the hotel you don't need to write much, within walking distance of you in a couple of minutes either at the restaurants or on the Reeperbahn, couldn't be better! In short: the rooms are although not straight cheap, however therefor small oasis of wellbeing. Gladly again at any time! read more

We stayed in this hotel, because it is a great proximity to musical 'Lion King' has. General condition is ok, but in the room really very strange for the category 'decorated'.
You had a great view to the harbor, but you with higher rates have to pay. Very annoying is the volume, because the hotel lies directly at a large busy intersection and right on the hotel is a line along. On the beds were ' nachthupferl' concern also ear plugs.
A small antlers on the wall looked in such a way, as if one it forgotten depend and had ... now times purely nothing at all with Hamburg and port to do. ☺ it was rather funny.
The bar next to the entrance was very nice and functional. Drink prices are already very demanding.
That especially disturbed, was the fact that in the skybar of the hotel as a hotel guest as before a disco in a doorman past and it for the hotel guests no quota of free places are.
We wanted to go to the musical nice and the view at night over the harbor enjoy, it remained us but left unattended.
Recommendable is however in any case a visit from 'portuguese quarter' with its lots of tasty dishes in the restaurants. It was so very delicious.
As the centre for the investigation or cultural visits of the city hh it is okay, but we would not have longer stay book. read more

It was our third stay here. The staff are just unbeatable. Wether for breakfast, at the front desk or during dinner, they are very simple motivated and it came towards the guests. We had a room with a view to the harbor(50523) and thank god was on the Elbe also something going on. Since custom one no tv. The towerbar is very recommendable, not only a drink because of, but also the beautiful view over Hamburg. It is worthwhile again and again a dinner in the restaurant port drives. And with a little luck you had also again the best ... view to the harbor. One evening have we this time in Willi's lounge bar. A uhrige bar in which you good drink but also food. The kapitänszimmer are very well equipped. About this hotel from there are lots of possibilities spend your free time. The location is for this simply great. Whether the atmosphere, Hafencity, Reeperbahn or Rathaus and Michel are easy to reach. Because Hamburg is always worth a trip. read more

We had this hotel selected, to quickly to the musical 'lion King' to arrive. It is really ideal starting point. In 5 minutes one is at the landing stages and can Hamburg explore. The only dtörende for us was the next to the hotel long key subway - so it was but at night very badly sound-proofed. This we would in the next reservation, otherwise this hotel however again and again choose! read more

We will gladly come in this magnificent hotel! Yes, it is true, the night was already a bit noisy (we close the windows). Also the parking lot is very limited, but somehow we got still a parking space on the street. However everything else compensated us for it. The lateral view the jetties (30408), the clean rooms included bathroom and since a apfelhalter in the room ( at Apple one day.). Nice idea. Breakfast is also just not inexpensive, but it offers everything in abundance ( apart from the cold cuts plates perhaps a bit too small are). After ... a visit to the imtech-arena, we can still in willis comfortable bar and douse the victory (what not this time the case was \u263a ). At the day of departure we take a last walk at the port and we know exactly: we will be back, because somehow it was like coming home. read more

I had our stay (2 nights) as a surprise wasted and our expectations were by far exceeded. We had a room in the kapitänsklasse (in the residence) and it was just perfect! When booking I had to a room with view of the harbor asked, just, because it is a gift was. This desire was met us and the views of the harbor was simply stunningly beautiful. Especially because of the floor-to-ceiling windows of the room. Furthermore I had a few tools booked, which we absolutely convinced us. So that surprise also succeeded, I had the employee at reception at ... check in a little discretion asked. Firstly, regarding the costs, to the other regarding the extras. Also this request was met and the surprise succeeded. Visiting the tower bar we can really recommend. It is worthwhile! A instruction: in spite of the central location, we found it not noisy at all. Previously I had again and again negative reviews ( because of the alleged volume) read. The hotel lies directly at the harbor and more central it does not go. For us absolutely incomprehensible, if you have 'volume' complained. It is of course very simple, right at the port and super central location and then but then to complain about, that on the doorstep the city begins. In short: we are very much looking forward to go back! read more

The front desk in our experience unfortunately not really helped, we had look for another hotel around all night to be able to sleep.

Hotel in a great location on the wonderful hamburg harbor. Directly at u-bahn and s-bahn station atmosphere, only a few stops away to the center and to the shopping.
Price/performance ratio of the hotel is mediocre, better conditions the hotel has not necessary, because it's one of the best ausgelastetsten hotels in germany is.
Small service drawbacks or certain habit in some rooms but the location and the harbor view room again good. read more
