The hotel Rosslaufhof is a good three star hotel with a perfect panoramic location above of kastelruth on a were very good. Actually it could have been in our opinion the title 'panoramahotel' deserves! It actually shows no genuine weaknesses, so that there is certainly a beautiful and hassle free vacation can spend. Good for families with children. Altogether highly recommendable.
BENEFITS:
- perfect and quiet panorama location about 8 minutes on foot above kastelruth in a cul-de-sac. Optimal for children since almost no cars.
- good value for money.
- beautiful new spa facilities, especially the sauna area was ... good.
- beautiful and mostly large renovated room in the main building (with large LCD TV!). Good feasts beds. Rooms at annex we could not judge.
- very good food ( quality & quantity)! For breakfast very delicious and always fresh egg dishes ( scrambled egg, cooked, sunny side up, etc.).
-when the kids get a little bit disliked had, one could eat without problems on the eve of something else as on the menu order! Very good!
- prices in the restaurant still okay (2012): beer 0.4 liter 3,80 euros, coke/ coke and lemonade/ Fanta 0.4 liter 3,80 euros, coke/ coke and lemonade/ Fanta 0.2 liter 2,20 euros, Bottle mineral water 4 euros, good bottle 18 euros.
- nearby location the SEISER ALM (to the gondola in SEIS only about 2.5 kilometer). With great family area on the SEISER ALM!
-garage and ski room (both but unfortunately often full). But enough asphalt parking spaces in front of the house.
-ski kindergarten/a skiing school just below of the hotel.
- uncomplicated booking via e-mail, posting even no down payment possible.
-very nice Head of time for a few funny words and Williams on the house has!
DISADVANTAGES:
- the pools (all) of the wellness area are clearly too cold, especially the jacuzzi. Jacuzzi must be hot! The large pool with about 28 °C clearly too fresh. A shame, because it is one of the great spa facilities unfortunately only limited use (this also said many other guests locally, not only we). Too few beach chairs in the swimming pool area.
-unfortunately, the small ski lift directly next to the hotel runs starting from the season 2011/2012 except business (despite indication of the hotel brochure!).
-no children's playroom or lounge / lobby where the kids play/a meeting can.
-unfortunately, 'officially' no children under 16 years old in the sauna area (the boss has it but nevertheless 'approved' -good!). A family sauna would offer a good solution ( for example in the outdoor area)!
TIPS:
- a hotel-Cultivated in 2012 in the direction hotel driveway (including a further parking garage)! Then should however also the spa area ( sauna!) be increased, otherwise it was very close.
-good and cheaper ski rental / service directly on the street to the hotel (ski service area carboniferous: about 500 meters below from the hotel in a small side street, the boss is very nice and competent!)
-also in the winter T-shirts forward! The rooms and especially the restaurant are very warm (about 25 °C evenings in the hotel- restaurant!)!
-great family area on the SEISER ALM, 60 kilometer best and simple/wide slopes (rote/Blaue). The AA to the top family ski area 2011 elected (and this is true, too!)! Prices okay.
-the Sella Ronda to skiers very great his (we were for skiing but only on the SEISER ALM and Wolkenstein). Is however probably nothing for small kids, since to hard!
-in the peak season to the winter sports region Wolkenstein not directly in Wolkenstein enter, gondola is way too ful. Simply by Wolkenstein pass, where still further (leerere) lifts!
-in the medium term, it is probably planned kastelruth via the local Marinzenlift directly at sEISER ALM is considered to be the location of this hotel even better (since then departure the SEISER ALM, right to the hotel and direct elevator from the hotel the SEISER ALM.)!
- definitely the grödnertal visit, is very great!
- beautiful and similar 3 star alternative hotels in the immediate vicinity: hotel Valentinerhof Makes families, hotel Scherlin (both with warm pool!).
POTENTIAL:
- the rooms and the restaurant should be cooled down (we always had T-shirts!), ask the pools warmer make( especially the hot tub-this was almost cold!).
From this location with view of the valley and the surrounding beautiful mountains would a warm pool (at least 34 °C) a very good idea!
-Future access to the winter sports region SEISER ALM via the Marinzenlift in kastelruth would be top!

the hotel has a pleasant, offering a clear view size and works relatively new or renovated. We had half board in the type C booked. The existing underground parking was free used will. A ski bus service was offered, we did however never taken. read more

Good traditional cuisine, the in our opinion more regional typical dishes could offer. The hotel is a very good starting point for walks on the Seiser Alm, grödnertal, etc. We as first timers immediately felt good.
Our tip: the surcharge for a panorama room typea is worthwhile. read more

We were for the first time in the Roßlaufhof. As everywhere in South Tyrol was it a vacation with friends. A hotel in this magnificent panoramic location, absolutely calmly and without through traffic, so really to relax and unwind.HCLFHLPrice/performance ratio is absolutely top.HCLFHLEverything was fine. Friendly front desk, helpful staff, nice large clean rooms, good food, large indoor swimming pool with Jacuzzi, sauna commodious area, free parking spaces and an underground car park.HCLFHLDefinitely be back next year. read more

We stayed for two weeks with our dog in the hotel Roßlaufhof. In this time we only had positive experiences. We were completely satisfied.HCLFHLOur room was in the Annex (our dog could directly on the adjoining lawn). The room was very large, and comfortable installed. A spacious bathroom with shower and toilet completed the positive picture.HCLFHLHCLFHLThe food was varied and very tasty. The attentive staff tried the guests to read your wishes from your eyes.HCLFHLThe price, performance ratio was very good.HCLFHLHCLFHLThe hotel is a bit out on the hillside. For guests with dog just perfect.HCLFHLIf ... you want you can leave your car during the entire stay in the underground garage and undertake all excursions on foot or by bus. At booking we were (married couple, 70/73 years) a bit skeptical because of the situation: outside of the town, situated on the hillside-but a comprehensive road leads directly to the hotel-it is ten minutes down in the town, up the hill about 15-20 minute back. Of course, you can also drive. HCLFHLThe hotel is clean, comfortable rooms, a terrace with a beautiful view of the mountains and down to kastel Ruth and beautiful sunsets!. There is a wide buffet, varied and tasty food is the, friendly service.HCLFHLSauna and pool area friendly and bright, with direct access to the sunbathing ... area.HCLFHLWe can definately recommend this hotel to anyone-very suitable for children, the situation is ideal: no road, no slope, only pointed out the door! read more

The family atmosphere of the hotel pleased us so well. The chef an original. His words :' it is in the whole hotel left nothing. '-? Fun the hotel location to hiking. ideally the wellness area is great, we used after our hikes May/always in June 2011 we will stay there again for 14 days of our vacation. We look forward already to the beautiful scenery Kastelruth, to the SEISER ALM and Roßlaufhof! read more

A nice hotel with everything you need: good breakfast buffet with cakes, freshly prepared fried eggs or scrambled eggs, dinner with a salad buffet and to start and end a vacation Willams (very nice), good service by a Topteam in the whole hotel, great wellness area, nice pool, quiet room absolutely quiet location on the mountain slope, nice people, a few minutes from the town centre (uphill walk back to attention), bus transfer for ski drivers (super regulated), cozy atmosphere and a great location with terrific view. We loved it so much, that we should be an option for next ... year. Unfortunately the lift this year was not in operation. It didn't bother us, since the rest was absolutely convincing. Maybe we'll see us next year in this hotel again. read more

Always worth a trip. The location at the top of the town not suitable for lazy ones, it is uphill. Therefor you had a dream and a dreamlike view of the schlern and kastel Ruth. The hotel is an ideal place for summer and winter, you can feel right at home. The whole team is very nice, with special requests there are no problems. You missed nothing. The price/performance ratio is okay. The hotel has many regular guests and would probably not, if something is not right. read more
