Newly renovated hotel a few blocks away from Manhattan. The heavenly bed and shower are the best known assets of this hotel and are absolute state of the art. The staff is very friendly and I liked the new breakfast concept most. Apart from a la carte menu, there is a breakfast bar where you can choose and pick up a 'on the go' breakfast. In the case you go to New York for a city trip and want to be close to the public transport, museums, broadway and the shops, this is your best pick. read more

Stay in the Westin Grand central recently on a trip in New York City. Arrived at the hotel at 07:00 o'clock and the front desk was very employed and the lobby was quite noisy. However, a quick check in and the young lady at the front desk was efficient. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the room surprised. It was clean and well equipped. We were on the 16. floor, but still hear much street noise at night. The check-out was simple and all, which we dealt with was friendly. The location was centrally located to all ... activities, which we wanted to do. read more

Great hotel.
The lobby and the entrance were still 'under construction', but the did not bother us.

Definitely recommended for a Manhattan-stay. We would definitely book the hotel again. We had a great, completely new room in the 34th Floor with a magnificent view of the Chrysler-building.

It is a nice hotel. The staff are mostly friendly and very helpful, at the front desk however you have to on the right side. Our room was in the 33rd floor. It was great, very nice and clean. We would stay here anytime again stay. All surrounding sights and the subway were comfortably within walking distance.
The only thing which disturbed us, were the construction in the lobby, the partial in night as well with very much noise were connected.
We didn't have breakfast, there directly next to the hotel a very good coffee shop with a varied selection ... at fair prices is. read more

Although currently the hotel renovated, competed, but you got anything. Very nice new equipped room, very clean, fully modern. The air conditioning in the room very quiet, great view from the hotel from. There is also the entrance area and the restaurant renovated, but it is not a problem, since there were many breakfast possibilities in the immediate area to find. Times Square about 15 minutes hike, very centrally located, so you can many possibilities for excursions true, empire, ground zero. Easy and fast with the ' yellows ' or 'subway' book to reach. In any case we will definitely ... be back again. It is worthwhile! read more

The hotel is very central, one runs 5 minutes to the central station, 15 minutes to Times Square. Breakfast possibility directly next to it, in direct area good selection, also restaurants and banks. We had only booked bed booked. The room was really large, especially the bathroom. Everything very clean and staff friendly. With the taxi from the airport about 30 minutes, back with the shuttle bus 90 minutes ( Rush hour ). read more

A very central hotel. Room was 20 years ago certainly very good, today very worn. The hotel is partly renovated, rooms under the 20 floor had noise ( we were on the 26, in the old part ). No mini bar thus no cooling function for beverages or medicines, as no kettle. Very dusty rooms and unfortunately hairs in the bath. Breakfast was too expensive, however is directly next to a very good shop where good coffee and fresh Pastries every day. Example: large coffee and 2 Käsebagles for about 7. 50$. Opposite is a Italian restaurant and still another ... breakfast store (Pret a), the however hardly to be exceeded in unfriendlyness is. As a tip: the 3 thd avenue down walk and after 2 minutes you are in the ' really inhabited' NY-with small supermarket and everything with tourism hardly what to do. The road catches directly left at the hotel at-). Everything other what else the NY knows is around the corner: Times Square, Broadway, fifth Ave, park Ave, Madison Ave, and much more. Central park is also easily reachable on foot. From this reasons the hotel is very recommendable. read more

The third stay in this hotel once again, we were very satisfied as the first day my request for a room in one of the upper floors could not be met, the room change the next evening worked great. The breakfast is the small self-service restaurant right next to the hotel. Here you could get everything the heart could desire, even freshly squeezed orange juice. read more

The location of the hotel is really fantastic, it can be very many sights be easily reached on foot. Across the street from the hotel is a small Osteria, there you eat great and the waiters were very friendly and tried very hard. For breakfast I can only most warmly the 'Pret a manager' recommended. You can get great fresh and super delicious sandwiches, baguettes and toast. Coffee is also total delicious. In any case at the beginning with the Hopperbus uptowntour make the, just an amazing (but with the opened bus, you will get really 'new York feeling'. Bus ... runs from the middle of Times square, about ten minutes away from the hotel. read more

The hotel lies directly at the 42nd street in the immediate area the Chrysler building, the Grand Central Station and the UN. Time Square, Rockefeller center and the empire State building are within walking distance easy to reach. The furniture was already somewhat older, but clean and tidy. The staff were very friendly.
Drühstück we had not booked; since one takes better in the Pershing Square diner on the Grand Central Station ( under the bridge/ Driveway) capacity. read more

I can only agree with many previous: very good location on the Chrysler-building and grand central station for exploring new York, decor was a little dated, but in good condition. Had annoyed me was the wireless only, it should for a hotel of this price range be free of charge nowadays. Overall I recommend it around 170, -€ per night for new York standards. read more

Old eingesessenes hotel with central base for exploring of the city - also on foot. The centralstation is a few meters away, and with the right room there's even a view of the empire State building. The cleanliness left much to be desired, but after the first room strange stains on the carpet had, a broken window owned and directly over the air conditioning of the hotel lAG, was all the same to us that. Good food you will find unfortunately not around the corner, but that is in NYC almost standard. In short: for a city break recommendable nonetheless ..., although not cheap. read more
