The hotel is good for its location, close to the subway and in Midtown. Besides that, nothing too bad or too good. Rooms are small but clean. I would recommend this hotel over the Westin in Times Square. read hotel review

The Westin Grand Central is a high-quality hotel with a near-unbeatable location. It's just two blocks from Grand Central Terminal, meaning it is both transit-accessible as well as situated within a highly walkable area of midtown. The staff is very courteous and attentive. read hotel review

It's tough to beat a location when it's smack dab in the middle of Midtown Manhattan East. It's two blocks from Grand Central and another two blocks to Bryant Park. It's New York, so there's more shopping and dining than you could ever need.

Classic Westin. Nice rooms, clean, updated, looks good. Comfy bed, nice bathroom, lobby is nice, friendly staff. Nice location directly across from grand central, close to times square, super easy subway access. Was just there for a business trip, and worked just fine. read hotel review

It was good hotel, nice location, good quality service and bed, but the size of the room was small and a little bit noisy like other new york hotel. In lobby, there were only two men to help a lot of guests. However, considering other NY hotels, it was a good choice. read hotel review

We were at the Westin Grand Central once again and spent 5 nights there this time. The size of the room left something to be desired, however, the point of criticism is small, if you are only using the room to sleep in anyway. The location of the hotel couldn't be better and is a great starting point in order to explore New York. The concierge was very helpful concerning reservations in various restaurants. read hotel review

The Westin is in the 42. road approximately 3 minutes' walk from the Grand Central Station away. The hotel name is so absolutely program. The building is on about 40 floors exclusively the Westin. There were rooms in all 4 directions and from bottom to top. At first we had a corner room on the 9. floor on the south/east corner. Directly under us were the trash cans and the view was close to zero. We have ourselves directly complained and could then in the 21. floor 'upgrade'. The corner room was now to the north/east corner and we had ... with some head wrench views of the Chrysler-building. So beware! Everything under floor 20 is, what the view wise, not the pictures on the website. The hotel decor is unobtrusive style. Everything was well presented in muted brown and new as it was probably recently completely renovated. We had only night without anything booked. Because everything else can you pay for. So costs a Cola from the mini bar (or as it says here from the fully stocked refreshment centers ) 6 Dollar. Wi-fi in the room for 15 Dollar per day. However it is in the lobby free of charge. Breakfast is for travellers almost priceless. read hotel review

Our corner room was for new york standards huge. Particularly nice in Westin the quality of the bed. Here really not too much promised. The bed including the cushions is just great. The air conditioning was not too loud, but it sometimes something moved. The mini bar was not available for our own drinks. But there is in each floor a ice machine. The tv is big also offers a wide selection of american programs. The use of international programmes should 6 Dollar per day, taking also no german it is. The bathroom was ok without any highlight. Sometimes there was no water. If it then came back, there was a brownish broth slow explained. Street noise in nyc everywhere and hence in the 21. floor. Every night at 4 then the garbage trucks. Ear plugs for people with light sleepers are therefore absolutely recommendable.

The service was quite varied. We were pleased with everything in the lobby has happened. We were not satisfied with the room cleaning. We went almost daily which lost. First one of the bathrobes. Then the glasses. Then the sachets to get some ice. And finally, the charwoman the towel rack in the bath torn down. But we have a anschwellenden mountain of body lotion and shampoo there. Otherwise limited cleaning new towels and make bed. Beside the towel rack also some illuminat conked out was for the cleaning lady obviously no message to the facility management value.

It was our 7. stay in nyc and we were the first time in the proximity of the Grand Central Station. One is good. There is as soon as one leaves the lobby New York feeling live. A rich choice of shops and delis is located in the immediate vicinity to the hotel. We highly recommend the breakfast the bagels - bakery ' zucker's' in the 370 Lexington Avenue, no 300 meters away from the hotel. Here there are freshly baked bagels with all the toppings and a free wi-fi. A further advantage is, that one of the few subwaylinien (line 7), with east-west link in the vicinity. It takes you only 2 stops right in the middle of times square. Alternatively there is the Grand Central also subways in north-south direction.

We stayed in the standard room of this hotel and for New York it's big , with a Lounge Chair so you can rest and watch the TV. The hotel is just 2 streets from Grand Central so you have good transport, a lot of food options and shops there. They have a lively bar/restaurant near the lobby, good food and great ambience at night. read hotel review

Centrally located 4 star hotel (41 floors) in east midtown between un building and Grand Central Station. Wi-fi is available, but with nearly 1 7 $per day too expensive. Own sim card for USA-network with flat rate is much cheaper. The hotel is two years completely renovated and made a modern and good impression. read hotel review

We had one of the a bit larger and had a great view, corner room on the 32. floor with a view of the Chrysler-building and the 42. road in the direction of the west (Times Square, hudson). The decoration of the room was the usual good nature of a 4 star hotels (comfortable kingsize bed with three ceilings and four pillows, chair, couch, big enough bathroom, closet, desk with chair, coffee maker with daily stocked coffee pads and (typically american) paper cups). The price was about 2 30 $(about 168 Euro ) per night including taxes and city tax and was for the room and the location of the hotel perfectly adequate.

  • Gastronomy
    4.0

The hotel has with the lcls bar & kitchen a restaurant, in which you from the breakfast until the night snacks to eat out. We have the breakfast on the first morning because of the price not any longer used. It is without a large and excessive breakfast quickly over 5 0 $for two persons (despite the already higher prices in New York then nevertheless in the long term to the purse is). We are then always next to the pax or opposite in the espresso bar and have good and sufficient for 25-30 $for two people for breakfast.

  • Service

The staff at the reception is sometimes a bit negligent einsdruck, all in all fits the service but. The reinigungsgservice was good and the room was always tidy and clean.

From the friendly and fast early check in to the offered late check-out it was pure great service and client care. Very central and easy to determine hotel in Manhattan. Have the stay enjoyed and the small problem with my suitcase, the after checking in back to the airport sent, could be solved quickly. The only small point of criticism is the late availability of the room (at 4:30 p. m.). So if you after the arrival or long flight showers would, before one explored the environment, this is not possible. Otherwise: everything was great and recommendable! read hotel review

The room was about 20 square meters large. There were two large beds, a bed was about 1.40 meters wide and we were 4... Since we only for sleeping it was big enough. There was enough storage space for the clothes, a large desk, a flat screen tv (no german channels) and a spacious bathroom with spa shower. The room had a carpet and coffee maker (which we also daily used, coffee is provided by the hotel and is free of charge).

Newly renovated hotel a few blocks away from Manhattan. The heavenly bed and shower are the best known assets of this hotel and are absolute state of the art. The staff is very friendly and I liked the new breakfast concept most. Apart from a la carte menu, there is a breakfast bar where you can choose and pick up a 'on the go' breakfast. In the case you go to New York for a city trip and want to be close to the public transport, museums, broadway and the shops, this is your best pick. read hotel review

Stay in the Westin Grand central recently on a trip in New York City. Arrived at the hotel at 07:00 o'clock and the front desk was very employed and the lobby was quite noisy. However, a quick check in and the young lady at the front desk was efficient. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the room surprised. It was clean and well equipped. We were on the 16. floor, but still hear much street noise at night. The check-out was simple and all, which we dealt with was friendly. The location was centrally located to all ... activities, which we wanted to do. read hotel review

We had a room in a very high floor, and therefore a great view of the Chrysler Building, and the un building. The rooms were very spacious and in a clean state. A mini bar with various beverages and snacks was available (very upscale).

Notbedürftiges dinner during the storm as no guests the hotel could leave on plastic plates offered. Price achievement in any case appropriate!

The room service was reliable and the cleaning was always properly. The helpfulness was very variable and depends on the staff. Positive: during the hurricanes 'Sandy' in the lobby there were free coffee. Also screens with all current flugausfällen set up.

Very central location: right at the Grand Central Station and in 10-15 minutes on foot on Times Square. Numerous breakfast options in the immediate area. Directly at the same crossing is a supermarket.

Great hotel. The lobby and the entrance were still 'under construction', but the did not bother us. In the travel time was just the 'grand assamley ' the united nations instead of, so that we are 'probably sheltered' felt. Room, cleaning and service: all great. read hotel review

Definitely recommended for a Manhattan-stay. We would definitely book the hotel again. We had a great, completely new room in the 34th Floor with a magnificent view of the Chrysler-building. Great hotel, fantastic location. read hotel review

It is a nice hotel. The staff are mostly friendly and very helpful, at the front desk however you have to on the right side. Our room was in the 33rd floor. It was great, very nice and clean. We would stay here anytime again stay. All surrounding sights and the subway were comfortably within walking distance. The only thing which disturbed us, were the construction in the lobby, the partial in night as well with very much noise were connected. We didn't have breakfast, there directly next to the hotel a very good coffee shop with a varied selection ... at fair prices is. read hotel review
