General description: Cathedral ManaguaThe Old Cathedral of Managua is a beautiful temple dedicated to the Apostle Santiago. It is located in the city of Managua, Nicaragua.
The neoclassical cathedral was built for the new parish of Managua in 1926. It was commissioned to Pablo Dambach, a Swiss engineer, who had to be based on the architecture of a Belgian church. It was inaugurated on the 38th and consecrated in 1946.
It is one of the most interesting visits in the city of Managua, being able to contemplate its careful decoration of sumptuous detail for which they have hired the best artists and the finest materials have been used.
