A place travelers can visit Iguazu Falls
Reviews: Iguazu Falls
General description: Iguazu FallsGeneral overview
The name of the Iguazu waterfall, originating from the Guarani language, can be literally translated as ""Large Water"". Indeed, it's a waterfall, or actually a complex of waterfalls, of impressive size. The largest of them has a height of 82 metres! To evidence the power of the falling from the precipice water is the fact that the hum of the waterfalls can be heard while even 20 kilometres away from them.
Iguazu can be found on the Brazilian-Argentinian border. Only about 20% of over 2 km in lenght of the waterfalls belongs to Brazil. The largest attraction here is the possibility of crossing above the waterfall, thanks to the catwalk, built especially for the tourists here.

During the World Cup and after Argentina-Bosnia match at Maracana, we specifically flew to Foz do Iguacu to see the waterfalls. It was a great half-day out and a fantastic experience. The view of the waterfalls is amazing (we visited the side in Brazil and had a better view of Argentinian part) and finally I was totally wet when went on the bridge to see it even closer! Tip: Bring raincoat or at least some plastic bags for mobile phone and camera! Read more
