General description: Leicester SquareLeicester Square is one of the pedestrian squares located in the West End in the beautiful city of London. The place borders the following streets: Lisle Street, Charing Cross Road, Orange Street as well as Whitcomb Street.
The place is equipped in a small charming park located in its central section where there is a monument and numerous benches where the tourists can find shelter from the sun and unwind in a cozy environment.
The place dates back to the 17th century. Currently, the visitors will be able to admire here the Shakespeare fountain and statue. In the past there were Maggie Smith’s handprints located here. However, these were removed after the renovation of the place.
