A place travelers can visit Gran Teatro de La Habana
Reviews: Gran Teatro de La Habana
General description: Gran Teatro de La HabanaThe Grand Theatre of Havana (Spanish: Gran Teatro de La Habana) is located in the oldest part of the city. It is also the seat of the National Ballet of Cuba.
The theatre itself was built in 1838, and in 2004 it was completely renovated. The interior of the building astonishes with rich and glamor ornaments. The biggest hall of the theater, named after Garcia Lorca, can accommodate about 1,500 spectators.
There was the time in the history of the Grand Theatre, when, among others, a ballerina recognized as one of the most respected dancers of the twentieth century, Alicia Alonso, could be seen on its stage.
