A place travelers can visit Town Hall Stockholm
Reviews: Town Hall Stockholm
General description: Town Hall StockholmDescription
The Stadshuset (City Hall) is the most famous symbol of Stockholm. The iconic landmark, with its signature brick tower, is possibly the most important architectural achievement of the 20th century in Sweden.
The architect Ragnar Östberg had this landmark of Stockholm constructed in 1923. The Golden Room with wall mosaics comprising 19 million gold-leaf particles is truly beautiful. From the tower of Stadshuset you can enjoy a fantastic view of the city.
The great Nobel banquet is held annually in the city hall as a set of international awards bestowed in a number of categories by Scandanavian committees in recognition of cultural and/or scientific advances. After dinner, Nobel Prize recipients, royalty and guests dance in the Golden Hall, with its 18 million gold mosaic tiles.
