They are known for their long beaches, lots of activities for a whole family, entertainment and water sports. Tourists are also offered an enormous selection of restaurants with delicious food and local wine. Nightlife of Makarska Riviera lasts until the morning hours.
An additional advantage of the Makarska Riviera is its typical Mediterranean climate. This area has a long and hot summers with refreshing sea breezes. The average temperature in summer is 25°C.
Makarska Riviera is protected against the continental climate by the Biokovo mountain range. It is the largest and the highest mountain range in Dalmatia, and part of the Dinaric Alps, directly reaching the sea.
