The Costa Brava is located within the autonomous region of Catalonia and extends 220 kms from the border with France to the river La Tordera en Blanes. Barcelona lies about 60 km from Costa Brava.

Due to its proximity to the Mediterranean Sea, the climate in the Costa Brava is mild. The average temperature in summer ranges from 21 º C to 28 º C and in winter ranges from 6 º C to 10 º C. Especially in the northern Costa Brava, in the Gulf of Rosas, can be very stormy. The hottest months are July and August and November is the month with the most rain.

In the 1930s the region started to receive tourism and people flocked to the stunning beaches. This increases dramatically in the 50s and 60s and some of the regions towns began to become urbanized. However, the Costa Brava still retains much of its traditions and natural beauty, which attracted the interest of artists like Dali.

Getting Around
Airport
The main airport is the Airport of Girona-Costa Brava, many cheap airline have started flying here including Easyjet and Ryan Air.
Public Transport
Inside the country, Figueres and Girona are two largest train stations. By train you can easily reach Banylus-sur-Mer, Cerberus, Colera, Blanes and Port Bou. In addition, the bus services are frequent and reliable.
Car
The best way to explore the smaller towns, villages and beaches is to rent a car.

EventsThere are lots of events and festival held on the Costa Brava throughout the year. Just some of these include:

- The kings parade on January the 5th.

- April 23rd marks San Jordi Day, the regions version of Valentine's Day.

- June 23 is celebrated in all parts of the Costa Brava the arrival of summer.

- The international fireworks competition is held in Blanes between the 22nd and 27th of July.
The region is famed for its fish, seafood, meat and olives.

Hotel in general nothing special, very old. Plenty of French noisy students ( not friendly). If you like to get rest at night, GO Somewhere Else.
Small for 4 , bathroom must be at list 20 years old, bad doors and windows, balcony don't look very safe.
no security when needed, leaking roof on the bar area.
no wi-fi access, internet cost 1 euro = 10 minutes.
Nice food, in all inclusive not bad quality of alcohol.

Lovely Apartments with on site swimming pool... The apartments were very clean and so was the swimming pool..
sized great for the three of us staying for three days!.. towels, sheet and quilts were supplied... a fridge, microwave and toaster was also supplied!..
Perfect service! Staff are very friendly and does speak good english..
we had to leave 5am so they made sure our room was checked on time and our deposit returned... Very happy with our service

Wonderful hotel with a beautiful location. Clean surroundings. The view from the balcony was spectacular. Plenty of activities. nice beach & pools.
Nice room & size. Wonderful balcony. Lots of storage. Kitchenette was good. It would have been nice with a microwave, but we managed well with 2 burners. Very clean. Rooms had a safe, coffee maker, phone, TV and a nice sized bathroom. Free Wifi in the rooms as well.

Went with my mom for a week full board. Our holiday was super. No complaints at all about the hotel. Very friendly staff. Clean rooms.Too good and too much food (ideal to gain weight ) that was refilled constantley. Food for everyone (meat, fish, vegetarian, children buffet.) and in different "themes".
