Trip Preparation
Costa del Sol justifies the name "Sunny Beach", being one of the major tourist areas in Spain, with a coastline 300 km long. The beaches in Costa del Sol compromise the coastal towns along the
Mediterranean coastline of Malaga. In the resort area of Costa del Sol the towns are linked with each other being located no more than a few kilometers from each other. These are: Benalmodena,
Marbella, Torremolinos, Fuengirola and Estepona. The town Estepona is located relatively close to Gibraltar, where you can visit the legendary rock.
Climate:
The best months to visit Costa del Sol are during May to October - the temperature varies between 23 and 30 degrees. During the summer months the temperatures often exceeding 40 degrees - then you can just lie on the beach or spend time in the sea. There are very few rainy days therefore the Coast is mostly covered in Sunshine.

Getting Around
Airports / Car rental
The main airport on Costa del Sol is located in Malaga. The smaller airport is located in the city Almeria. It is also possible to fly into one of two airports in the surrounding area in Seville or Granada. To rent a car at each of them is no problem, It is also not so expensive compared to other Western European countries (the average price per week is 130-150 euros).
Public transport
Between the villages situated on the coast, buses and railways run very well and are an easy way to get from one place to another. Malaga has a convenient daily connection with Granada, Seville and Cordoba. Also, taxis are relatively cheap in the area.
