A secluded resort with a large tropical garden located directly on a long sandy beach with palmtrees and very clear water. We were gladly in the hammock and enjoyed the massage on the beach. It was nice to walk through the jungle to the waterfall and to swim in the fresh water. The food was very delicious - most of the vegetables and fruits grows in the back gardens and always fresh fish catched by Lydia and guests! We explored a near village and schoolyard with many excited kids. We will co... Read more

Good fun for kids - not for romantic adult trip

Hotel The Warwick Fiji in Viti Levu, Fiji islands / Fiji
Larger beach hotel run in a western hotel chain style.
Seems to mainly attract mainly families (Aussies and Kiwis) with kids, therefore not a good pick for travelling couples - loud / hectic and entertainment focused on youngsters.
Good facilities with four restaurants, pools, beach, bar / nightclub and shops.
Well equiped room with minibar, safe, TV, balcony and coffe / tea making facility meating the expectations for such kind of hotel.
In general staff is always friendly and greets every... Read more

Kuata Eco Resort: for the non-fussy traveler

Kuata Natural Resort in Kuata Island, Fiji islands / Fiji
My boyfriend and I stayed on this island resort on our first stop in the Awesome Adventures, Ultimate Lei package trip. It is very basic, and is rated as 1 coconut (out of 3) as a result.. Kayaks and snorkeling gear could be rented for about $10(Fijian) a day.
We stayed in a standard double room/bure and it featured a double bed and two singles. We also had an en suite, which was slightly flooded during our stay. The shower is cold but this is usually not an issue as the weather is so warm. ... Read more
