I was only staying for 2 days so I wasn't looking for anything special and I wasn't disappointed. I did email the hotel to say I'd be arriving at 13:00 and they replied they would look forward to seeing me then. When I did arrive I was told my room wouldn't be ready until 14:00. As I was on a motorcycle and dressed in full leathers I was not best pleased. They did however find a room for me to change but I couldn't shower or unpack.

Would recommend this hotel it is typical Swiss and run by very friendly staff. The location is excellent and the food is outstanding. The family room with huge along with the bathroom and very quiet, our family really enjoyed their stay. Read more

The walls are too thin: I could hear all what was happening in the rooms nearby.
Very central: plenty of cafées and shops nearby. At walking distance from the train station.
Essential furniture, fine for a business trip or a short stay.

Next to Highway north of Fribourg but quiet rooms, not easy to find without naviagtion device, cheap rates (for Switzerland)
No change / making of beds, very basic breakfast, restaurant food not good (Penne with a lot of water..., ), pizzeria, room size good but no table in the room,

Despite its old and basic furnitures it is clean and comfortable. It is also very close to the main touristic attractions in the town and also to the train station. The staff is polite, generally warm, and quite familiar with English language.
