Went for dinner, 21 Japanesse people arrived at the restaurant in same time. We were asked to wait 40 Min. in order to serve this party. It has never ever happend to me that a restaurant can not serve 2 individuals when a party of 21 arrives.

I visited the hotel with my wife 01 - 03.12 2011. The hotel was located in the Old Town close to the Opera. Close
to the hotel was also very fine shopping centers and 2 nice market places. The staff at the hotel was very friendly and professional in their work. It was a 4 star hotel with very good service. The breakfast and food restaurant offered
very good food and wines. The rooms was comfortable and the bathroom was great and nice. We will go again

Boutique Hotel Monte Kristo located in an old building right in an Old Town of Riga. So it is very conveniently located to all places of interest as well as to Riga central raiway station. Many shops, cafes, restaurants and an airport bus stop are also nearby. We stayed in a budget economy room, having been warned that it doesn`t have window. Hotel Kolonna is ideally situated in the center of Old Town. Location provides easy access to main places of interest. Dome Cathedral, St. Peter`s Church, Museum of occupation, Opera theater, many other museums, shops, cafes and restaurants of old Riga are all in the walking distance from the hotel. Airport bus stop is about 200 meters away. Therefore, it`s just about 30-40 minutes by public transport to Riga airport. Buses run from early morning till about midnight.

Riga is a wonderful city and the Old Riga Palace is a perfect hotel to return to after a day in the city. The breakfast is fantastic, make sure you try the pancakes!, and the bar offers a great selection of drinks! The location is perfect and the overall design is amazing! Read more
