La Jas du Boeuf is a small but freindly run bed and breakfast. The owner and his wife, who speaks fluant french, were very helpful when asked about walking in the area wih a fair selection of maps which I was able to borrow.
The area is very rural, the nearest village, Cruis is about 3kms away and Saint Etiannee-les-Orgues a little further along the road has a good market.

This is a poor hotel even it has 2 stars. The food is not quite good. There are a millions of flies do not dine outside ! The personnel is unfriendly, and it is not suited to go there with children. The owner was very unfriendly he even asked us to leave if we made too much noise ! We had to eat outside with the flies ... Do not go there with a family. Read more

fabulous location - beautiful room, excellent food.
huge room, really comfy bed, massive shower and loads of towels. Perfect.
Big comfy bed and fluffy towels - bliss. huge shower with lashings of hot water. Kettle and tea bags provided.

stunning location. completely silent except for birdsong and the humming of the bees - in February!

The establishment is in very good shape. The hotel is very clean. The showers in in the rooms themselves and so are the restrooms. It was pleasantly quiet and the staff was very professional.

The apartments together with access to the skiing area for the whole week is a perfect combination. Size and the shape of the rooms are fine.
One big complain about the condition of the appartments! We were 20 people in two apartments. Both apartments had already broken furniture, broken windows, broken kitchen equipment and weren't properly cleaned. The cleaning equipment was broken too (vacuum cleaner, dustpan). There seems to be no maintance of the apartments at all.
