The guest house is a bit out of the vacation destination Paraty in the district of jabaquara beach and therefore very, very quiet location on the edge of the town and only 5 minutes walk from the beach away. Medium-sized hotel with 94 rooms and suites, the exterior seemed neglected with Missing characters in the name, small Lobby with a few Seating areas and small bar. The cleanliness is OK. The house has several very slow, close elevators, on the roof there is a small swimming pool with a view of the Copa cabana. The guests are mostly young and international. the hotel has a beautiful Lobby, two elevators, as well as approximately 10 floors with each 20 rooms.
the condition is very good and it is clean.
I had half board so breakfast and dinner.
the guest were a good international mix, and however many Europeans gave.
My room was in a grünton and seemed pleasant cool.
there were two separate beds, a table with chairs, closets, telephone, a minibar, as well as in the bathroom additional to bath tub and toilet a bidet.

Old hotel, not for the demanding, but clean, everything worked well( shower, air conditioning and so on) and we felt safe in the hotel
big room completely, with old furniture.

if you are going to Rio and beach life to enjoy wants, should avoid this hotel.

The villa Laurinda has suites and rooms, and the difference is, that the suites with a private bathroom. We had the suite 'mangueira' booked. The bathroom with window is big enough and clean, every day be the beds made and the bathroom will cleaned. Towels all 3 days.
